DIP N STRIP INC

Proprietor would not give us a price until he saw shutters in person. After he had our materials he gave us a price. When we questioned it, he said he did not trust us and would want all the money up front in cash. He was acting irrationally and erratically. At this point we would have liked not to do business with him but we were already out $250 for the pickup and delivery costs. So we paid him cash up front. The work was done to our satisfaction but the proprietor was unprofessional and the situation was extremely stressful. I would never do business with him again.

Not sure why, but the first of 3doors that were to be stripped ended up having the veneer peel off. I only learned there was an issue when the time frame they gave me passed, I could mot reach them and spoke with the middle man, who happened to know about it. It took several calls to get the principal of D n S on the phone. While he did not bill me, I was not satisfied with his explanation. It seemed to me the dipping process could have been better monitored knowing this door was not one solid piece, but had a veneer. The failure to then reach out to inform me and then have me have to call them was unacceptable. They had come well referred and may or may not tend to do netter work, but the work and subsequent service was most disappointing. Though they dis not bill me, really, what else could they do after ruining the door?
