She met with us and told us what we needed to do to get our house ready for showing. She took photos of our house for the listing, and posted our listing on all of the major real estate websites. She placed a very prominent sign on our front lawn, and put a lockbox on our front door. Most importantly, she screened potential tenants for us. She took their applications, reviewed their credit history, brought them to our house, and generally advised us on who were the good candidates for renters. It took about 6 weeks, but she eventually found tenants who are paying us the maximum rent for our house. They are excellent tenants, and we couldn't be happier. Her standard fee (commission) is the first month's rent. This is standard throughout the real estate industry. However, in this particular instance, the tenants' insurance company paid the commission fee, so her services didn't cost us anything. In other words, it couldn't have worked out better.
