The job was excellent and was completed even sooner than we expected. The workmen were courteous, neat and skilled. The owner of the company was very available, both for the estimate and any questions or concerns about the work being done. The finished product was beautiful and everything was completely cleaned up when they were done.

They promptly provided an estimate and did an excellent job completing the work weeks later. They were spectacular; I just wish they weren't so popular and could have fit our work in more quickly.

had numerous estimates and decided to go with Jamar. A number of companies didn't even want to deal with my skylights as access was very difficult. Jamar came promptly when I called for an estimate. I wanted Pella windows and they had to be sliders due to condo rules. Another company told me Pella didn't do sliders. Jamar came when they said they would, built scaffolding for the skylights and installed all my windows. They cleaned up completely after the job was done. I was completely satisfied and highly recommend them.

We didn?t have them do the work until the end of May since our interior work took a long time. Jamar Windows & Siding is a small family run business. We met the father and the son. The wife and the mother take care of the business as well as the office. They had a crew come in. They were very professional. There was awful heat wave in New Jersey in the middle of May and it was very hot, but they came in to do the job. They started at 7:30 in the morning and worked till 7 o?clock at night. They got the job done in three and a half days. They gave us a list of contacts to look around for the siding colors because we didn?t know exactly as to what colors we wanted. So we drove around and we ended up talking to a lady who had used their services and we got good opinion. That gave us a little peace of mind also. They did everything nicely and paid attention to detail. We had an existing screen porch which they also framed around and made it match with the rest of the house. Everything was done over and above what they really needed to do. It was a pleasure and I will definitely work with them again. It was really hard to find someone as trustworthy as them.

Jim was great. I called and he came the next day and gave a very thorough and clear estimate. We have an old house with an unusually sized door. We were thinking we'd have to custom order a door (which could get very expensive) and as it's an older home with a certain character, we also really wanted something that looked like it fit. Actually we really wanted something that looked exactly like what we already had, but just not with all the gaps and air leaks. Jim gave us the work estimate and was nice enough to price the doors based on which doors and styles would actually fit in our house. AND then price it out again based on if we decided to radically change the size of our door opening. Luckily we were able to find doors that were the correct width. They only problem was that we only had to lower the header about 5 or 6 inches. The guys came, worked quickly and the doors look amazing. I think what most impressed me was the way they masked the lowering of the header. The put new moulding up to make it the correct size, but they cut the top pieces of the old moulding and attached them to the new moulding so it still matches the rest of the house. I was extremely pleased with their work and would hire them again any day.

They made some mistakes on the estimate, but they came out on time and gave us a quote back. Our issue was that overall what we were looking to have done, the price was higher than expected.

Rude and then some. I called the company and it took a couple of days for them to return my call (i had left a message on their voicemail). Fine, no biggie, I know they're busy. However, the guy calls me back today and says (without asking if it's feasible for me) that he will be over around 1 this afternoon. I tell him that that won't work for me as my kids have a gymnastics class at that time, can we reschedule? He tells me fine, I ask to set up another time. He says he can be here tomorrow morning at 9:30--this, again, won't work for us as my husband has to take me to the airport. Upon me telling him this, he sighs, and says, "well, i'll *TRY* to call you next week otherwise, i'll call you when i have time to come out." Really? You'll try to call me? "Listen, lady, it's a holiday weekend, you can't do any of the time's I'm free, not my problem." Nice customer service, really, you're calling me "lady" and I'm somehow inconveniencing you by not having the kind of schedule you would prefer? I guess I should be happy for Jamar that they're having such a good year (in spite of the economy). that they don't need any new business.

I spent about approximately $400 on that work. I had some holes in my siding from a project that I started but changed. It is aluminum siding, so they replaced the panels that were damaged and covered the holes and they were very good. We made an appointment, they came and looked at it and told me how much it would cost and I did not have to be there. They repaired it and left me a bill and it worked out great and they did a good job. They were very responsive.

Everything went well. They arrived on time, finished quickly, and cleaned up after themselves.

We are waiting to use them. The guy who came out was very nice and very knowledgeable. When we are ready to do siding and windows, we will probably end up using them.

This was the second time we have used Jamar. Jim came about five weeks ago to go over job details. He made some good suggestions regarding the type of siding would look good for our needs and the type of soffets that would go well. Once the contract and depost was done, it was about five weeks until the window came in. The crew came in on time, kept the site clean and neat the whole time (two days of work). The first day, the ripped out the old window, and installed the new window, put a nice roof which follows the lines of our house and the shingle match with our main roof. The second day the put in the siding and all the trim and soffets. They took out all the old rotten wood and replaced and covered the facia with aluminum (the aluminum was not part of the initial job). I would say they went the extra mile to make sure the job was done right and that we would not have any water leakage. Any questions or issues were responded to quickly by phone or email. The whole job looks excellent. All our neighbors have all commented on it. I am a very picky person, I am happy with this company and would use them again for any future work I may need.

This was the best experience we've ever had with a contractor by far. Greg was very patient with us while we were trying to select the right window and the right type of installation (replacement vs. new construction). Once we've decided, I erroneously asked him to remove the wrong size window from our contract. However, Greg caught my error because he came back to double-check everything upon placing the order, which prevented us from ordering a wrong size window. The windows came in and the work was started right on schedule, as promised. Greg and his crew were very professional and knew what they were doing. They were able to replace all of the windows (new construction) in two days and worked like a well-oiled machine. The entire project took five days. They were very detailed with the interior moldings and they came out really beautiful. In the middle of this project, there was a serious storm, which knocked down four large trees down on our street, blocking the entrance to our block, and caused us to lose power for almost a week. When I called Greg on a Saturday night to tell him that he wouldn't be able to continue on Monday because of the lack of access to the block and no power, he told me that he may have a solution and that he would call me back on Sunday. I thought that was crazy, but on Sunday night, he told me that he was able to get access to a generator, and that his crew would be able to finish their interious work on Monday. They came first thing in the morning and finished the remaining moldings, which required them to work in a freezing cold house with the only source of power in the garage. They were determined to finish the work on time no matter what it took. That's dedication! All of our neighboors were amazed. I only wish our utility company was as dedicated.... I am extermely picky and hard to please with these type of projects, but have had absolutely no complaints about the window installation. Jamar was able to put in new construction windows despite having to work around existing tile in the bathrooms and the kitchen, and everything looks flawless. We only had to do some light touch up around two windows. Everything else had absolutely no damage to the walls. Greg was the only person who promised that with new construction windows and was able to deliver on that promise. They were also very careful with the hard wood floors in the house and left the house and the garage area spotless. Several weeks after the project was compeleted, we noticed that one of the screens had a small tear along the seam on the side, which we didn't notice upon intallation. I emailed Jamar and they promised to install a replacement screen right away, which they did earlier this week. I think that Greg and Jim are really on top of things and have a highly skilled crew and I would highly recommend them for any project.

We had bought a new condo and the condo required they be replaced with a certain brand of windows, which are top of the line. They are expensive windows. They were a very good contractor to work with. The price was fair; it wasn't great and it wasn't bad. They were really good to work with and excellent guys. We could send them an email and get almost an immediate response. We would absolutely use them in the future.

I e-mailed requesting an estimate to replace the windows in my house and received a call back the next day. We scheduled an appointment for the following day. The information provided during the appointment was very helpful. We discussed our options and were guided to make a decision on the best product to meet our needs and our budget. The project went very smoothly from start to finish. All of the staff from Jamar were very courtious and happy to answer any questions that we had. They were on sight for 3 days and kept the house neat by laying tarps throughout the house. All of the work was completed in a very professional manner. All of the windows and the door that was replaced came out beautiful and I would recommend Jamar Construction to anyone that is looking to do a similar project.

Everything went extremely well. Jim came promptly and picked up the piece of siding. Repaired it and put it back up.

They are an excellent company and the quality of workmanship is outstanding. The windows are beautiful and look great. We had nine windows replaced and two doors replaced, one of which was a storm door. The back door was a bear as the frame had to be rebuilt since it was a "handyman special" at the time it was installed, many years ago. I am extremely pleased with the entire company and staff and will definitely have them do more work in my house. They cleaned up everything, were very professional and very easy to talk to. There was minimal dust and they took all the old windows and doors away as promised. I highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.

I called Jamar Window and they sent someone out that evening to view the damage and take measurements. The next morning I received a phone call with the price to replace the window. The price was very good compared to other companies. The people on the phone were pleasant. The next day two men arrived in the late morning and although the glass size was wrong they immediately contacted their boss who arranged for the correct size and he delivered it in the early afternoon. The window was fixed by late afternoon. So, in the span of 2 days the window was fixed, the people were on time and pleasant and the price was right. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

I was very much impressed with his attentiveness and professionalism, and I was very eager to hire him for the job. We ended up having to use someone else (it was practically a coin toss), but I'm sure Jim and his crew would have done a wonderful job. He has wonderful reviews and from what I could tell, well deserves the fine reputation.

The windows and patio door were installed in one day to our satisfaction. I was appreciative that they protected my floors with drop cloths and afterwards efficiently cleaned up. Greg came back a few days later to follow up on a detail I called about. All in all, we received excellent service. They were punctual, professional and we highly recommend this company.

We found Jamar through Angie's List and left a message requesting to be contacted. Jim called us promptly after we posted a request on the Jamar web site. He met with us and understood what our home improvement needs were. He suggested ideas on how to the job and additional suggestions that we had not considered, all of which we liked. He came up with a proposal which we reviewed with him several times until we were satisfied. The actual job started earlier than we were originally anticipating. All the phases of the work were done in a timely manner, with daily supervision by Jim. All the work crews were punctual, respectful of the property, and very hard-working during the hottest days of August. At the end of the job, Jim met with us, did a final walk-through, and reviewed the job with us. In summary, Jim's we are very pleased with the final result and feel that it has enhanced the overall curb appeal of our home.
