Jamar Home Remodeling

I was contacted by Jamar and I explained what I needed and the next day they came out and provided me an estimate. I agreed on the estimate that Friday 6/17/2011 and the following Monday 6/20/2011 the the job was completed. They were punctial, professional and cleaned up when finished.

Jim came over my house for the estimate within an hour of describing my problem to him over the phone. He was very professional, described my options regarding the windows, and quoted me a reasonable price to fix them. I also had a small problem with the front entry door and Jim fixed it, free of charge, right on the spot. My wife and I plan on using him to fix the windows in the near future. The overall experience was great! It was the first time I dealt with a contractor in New Jersey that responded immediately to any question I had, came to the site daily while the work was being done, had a team that worked quickly and with no lag time and did a completely professional job. And there were no problems during the entire process. Emery and Jim provided a lot of information during the estimation phase to ensure that I would get the final result I was looking for. The final result is that the house looks completely new and the deck is really impressive. The team that installed the siding completed the job in about a week. They worked hard, cleaned up at the end of each workday and did an outstanding job. I highly recommend Jamar.

The project went according to schedule with Greg providing me updates as the installation day nears. He worked with my schedule and was totally flexible with my preferred dates. Except for one day that's raining, the crew was on time and start promptly at 8am and work through the early evening. It took about five days in total with clean-up performed at the end of each day. Minor problems were addressed right away and Greg has been very prompt and responsive at all times.

Jamar was the first contractor we spoke to, and Emery was very prompt and helpful. My only complaint was that they seemed too eager to use higher-end materials that were not appropriate for the neighborhood. They obviously are obsessed with quality and I suspect would have done a great job, but they weren't a fit for our project. I would highly recommend including them in future projects and bids.

My home's and garage's aluminum siding needed some patches, replacement and fixes, nothing huge, but adding up to some work. The company gave an estimate, put a good crew on the job and finished it well in a short amount of time. Crew cleaned up after the work, finish is great, i will use this company again in the future.

They were just fantastic. They replaced 53 windows in less than one week. I have nothing but superlatives to describe their work. We had cheaper quotes, but went with them because of the reviews we'd heard and it was definitely worth paying that premium.

Day of installation went smoothly, as described, clean up thorough. I cannot yet comment on the durability of these windows and the installation job but would recommend Jamar and plan to call them again for future work.

They were very efficient. I was pleased with the work that they did. I was satisfied with how my house looked after they were done. They cleaned up.

This was a great experience from start to finish. The contractor, when first contacted, got back to us promptly. An appointment was made. The representative, Emery, arrived in a timely fashion and took us through a list of options once he had a sense of what we were looking for. There was never any pressure and nor did we ever get the sense that he was trying to "sell" us. He was very clear in his explanations and took the time to explain the pluses and minuses of the options available. He told us that once we placed an order, it would be approximately three to four weeks before the actual job would be done. He was true to his word. We received a call within four weeks that the windows had arrived. Arrangements were made for the workers to come. They arrived promptly. The workmanship was superior. They were thorough, professional, and considerate. Once the windows were replaced, they took the time to show us everything we needed to know and explain what we could expect. The clean-up was thorough. They actually performed a couple of small tasks, not in the contract, as a courtesy. I was impressed. The windows, the American Jewel 1700 series, have worked extremely well. We can tell the difference, especially when there is high wind velocity. We can hardly tell what's taking place on the outside. I would highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again. I could only wish that every contractor was as reliable and easy to work with.

From the first phone call to the completion of the project, they were extremely responsive, professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. Emery Malasits was our sales person. He came out to our home late one evening to present options. He took detailed measurements on the first visit. Jim emailed us a quote the very next day and continued to provide multiple quotes for other window brands we were considering. Once we decided to use Jamar for our window replacement, they were very quick to come out again and confirm the measurements. The order was placed immediately. The day of the installation, everything went smoothly. They came back the next day to finish up the outside and clean up. We were very impressed with the quality of their work and would absolutely use them again. Thank you for a great experience.

Jim was very responsive and extremely professional. I called him to see if his Jamar could come out and look at some leaking windows in our new condo (>1 yr warranty period). Jim drove out himself to view our place and the windows in question. He arranged for his crew to come out and seal the 4 windows in question (two in front in brick, two on the side in vinyl siding, double hung windows). The windows were leaking at the top interior head jamb and only during heavy rain with high winds. Jim submitted his invoice with the caveat that we not pay him until the next heavy rainstorm with winds came through and we saw the results of his company's repair work. Well today (12/1) there was a HUGE WINDY RAINSTORM in the Tri-State area and I came home to dry windows and a dry condo!!! Yeah!! I did notice that another window on the side that Jamar did not work on had leaked. I will definitely be calling Jim back tomorrow to schedule Jamar to come back out and seal ALL of the windows on the South side of our home. We found Jim and his staff a pleasure to work with. The grades we gave for our experience say it all. The work was done as we requested in a timely manner. Any questions or concerns we had were always addressed.

We wanted to have the front of our home redone but could not decide on a design. Jim from Jamar did an excellent job finding the balance we needed between design and budget. They arrived when they said they would and left before we came home every day. The house was so clean both inside and out you would never know contractors had been working. As with any job we had a few small issues along the way however every last detail was addressed and we could not be happier. Bravo Jamar!

Great crew. Estimate was given and that was the price. Scheduled to come on a day but got delayed a few days from the torrential rain we had. Rescheduled and the team showed up as planned, worked only on my job for 5 days and then left. Every day they cleaned up before they left the house so almost couldn't tell any work was being done. Hardworking, nice and trustworthy team on the site. This is my first angies list selection and would highly recommend this company for any window or door work. Extremely happy with them and the results. Will be having them back next spring for another few rooms

I shopped around between a few window companies and I appreciated Greg's straightforwardness and honesty. I appreciated that he believes in his family-owned services and products, but didn't feel the need to spend 2 hours trying to sell them to me. Greg was willing to take time to talk with me and was very patient as I shopped around. He was very easy to work with and to talk to. He and another worker from Jamar arrived promptly on the morning of the installation and spent about half a day installing the windows. They were very clean and careful with the installation. They took their time and seemed to really care that everything was done well. Greg took the time to demonstrate how to use the new windows to me after the installation was finished. As he left, he expressed that he was confident that I would call him again to replace more windows. I think he is probably correct. Today was the first cold and breezy day that I was able to experience the windows. Our bedroom used to be the coldest room in the house, but after Jamar's window installation, it is, by far, the warmest. I believe it's important to pay a little more for skilled window installers, no matter how expensive the windows themselves are. Jamar lived up to my expectations.

They came when they said they would, did a fine job at a fair price. Nice to deal with.

From the very first time that we met Jim when he came to our home for the estimate, we knew that Jamar would be the contractor that we would go with. He was very attentive and gave great suggestions about the work. We felt very comfortable with him right from the start. As he pulled away, I told my wife that I liked him and we both agreed that we felt extremely comfortable with him. After receiving the reasonable estimate for the job, we quickly signed the contract. Along the way, I had many questions since consrtuction is not my field. I sent Jim several e-mails and was shocked at the quick responces. He even responded at night. I remember thinking, this is the way to do business! Once the work started, the work crew was always on time and kept their work area very clean. Jim would come by very often to see if the crew needed anything and to keep his eyes on the progress. Jamar's mason was excellent. He and his crew took their time and were meticulous in their work. Tony (mason) also had great suggestions along the way. As the homeowner, I really appreciated the mason taking his time. I, of course, want the work done right and am not concerned about their next job. When the masonry was complete, it looked GREAT! Tony and his crew are true crafstmen! Once the Hardy Plank siding went on, the house looked fantastic. The crew did a great job. As the work was going on, there was a small problem with one of the boards. I texted Jim and the problem was addressed first thing the following morning. Once again, This is how to do business!! The gutters went on without a hitch and they also look great. They even matched the down spouts to the color of the house. To sum it up, Jamar was a HOME RUN! We loved Jim, the crew and most of all, the work. In my opinion, this company is as good as it gets!. Great work, clean, on time, attention to detail, and very very attentive. Everyone (yes, EVERYONE!) of my questions or concerns were dealt with quickly with. no stress! Do we have more work to be done at our home? Yes Will Jamar be doing the work? The biggerst YES that I can give. They are simply that good! Dave and Cindy
