Description of Work: i needed an architect in the worst way as my previous architect was utterly useless... he came by to look at my property and gave me an estimate in a couple of days whereas others i had contacted took at least a week... he really knew his stuff and alerted me of the likeliness that i would need a variance to do what i wanted to do... the others? no mention... i'm turning my 4br/2ba/1500sf/1car garage cape cod into a 4br/3ba/2200sf/2car garage colonial... all that will be left is the first floor framing... everything from the 1st floor ceiling joists will be replaced... scott bella is the owner and architect that i have been working with and so far he's been terrific... he's very accessible by phone and he's extremely competent... he listens to what you are saying and takes your concepts and puts them down on paper (or on the computer, as the case may be)... we're going through the variance process and it's a very stressful endeavor and i don't wish it on my worst enemy, but he's handling it fully and has alleviated most of my stress... he's gone out of his way to make things as easy as possible for me... he sent out the notifications and published the notice in the local paper as required and he even rushed to get the documentation in so that we could make the next zoning board meeting... they only meet once a month so that saved me at least 4 weeks... the site plan and elevation drawings have been very professionally done and timely...
