+ 1 moreJay and his team are all great to work with. All very neat and courteous. Jay is a true perfectionist which I can appreciate and is happy to push the limits of design with you as long as your comfortable. Not only do his designs and pieces offer class and originality but he always has an eye out for continuity and flow with the rest of your space and functionality is a must. All the various jobs have gone very smooth and the end result spectacular. At the moment, Artique is just finishing a guest room to which we added a tiles headboard between two columns and he replaced my plain oversized 36 in closet doors with a custom unit that looks like furniture complete with drawers and shelves...built onsite and fitted directly into the closet opening.
Description of Work: Jay Demauro is one of Bergen County's best and most creative artisans. He is absolutely the best at what he does in both custom glass work and finish/decorative carpentry. Being a Glazier for over 20 years, Jay is the master of bringing an old world art into modern day motifs. From decorative glass inlays installed over today's double pain insulated glass, to antique mirror and glass, to full blown stained glass domes. Look at his website as the pictures speak for themselves. Jay and his team have done a lot of work in my house over the past several years. He's installed water glass in my entry way, a coffered ceiling in my dining room, traiditional wainscoting in my hallway, beautified my entry way with arches, installed 100's of feet of crown molding and most recently made my bathroom vanity from scratch with a antiqued glass inlay within which he sandblasted the matching pattern from my tile mosaic on the wall. Talk about creative! He is open to suggestions and input which makes working with him easy and fun.
