Sd Construction

We have a 100+ year old house that had the original slate roof AND a bat problem! Ugh. The only way to keep the bats out was to replace the roof. We contacted SD Construction and met with Steve. He gave us a pretty accurate estimate for the work. What we had done: - Removal of the slate roof. (We asked him to try to save as many slates as possible so that we can use them around the gardens and walk way and his workers were able to save a good amount.) - Wood and paper was put down followed by 30 year asphalt shingles. - We have 3 dormer windows in the attic, and since we eventually plan on making the 3rd floor a living space, we had him restructure some of the roof support beams so that the windows were more open. - Chinmey- Replaced loose and missing bricks and gave a clean stucco finish to the outside of the chimney as well as placing a chimney cap. - Repair to the soffit and facia where there had been wood rot. - Removal of the existing gutters and downspouts, and replacement. Overall We are incredibly happy. The roof is beautiful; the work and workers were so professional. When the slates came down off the roof the yard was a mess, but they cleaned up everything perfectly, you never even knew they were there! I would recommend SD Construction, and Steve to anyone.
