Aaron provided a very creative and out-of-the-box solution that not only totally solved the problem but did saved us considerable time and money in the process. He cut away the Formica by the impacted area and then slowly detached the damaged wood from the sheetrock without damaging anything and replaced it with a piece of PVC, which is a better material to have behind a sink anyway, and then caulked it really well. No water worries now. It was painstaking work that would have tried the patience of a lesser contractor to the point where many, if not most, contractors probably would have never tried it in the first place and suggested instead we just ripping out the whole piece, which would have been much more expensive and disruptive. The work was done so precisely it looks like that's how it was designed when the kitchen was built. We needed the work done quickly and Aaron was very responsive.

Fantastic. He was extremely nice. Does a fantastic job. Price was reasonable. He cleans up after him self . This guy is the BEST contractor we've had in the 25 years we've owned our house. I know for a fact well be using him again. Hes prompt.. and tell you everything up front.

He did it all in one day, working very hard. He also a very nice person. The work was done 9 months ago and it all looks like a lush grassy area that one would never suspect was previously a muddy swamp.

The work went very well. He did state he was not a plumber, but a contractor, and could do work that was no inside the walls. He was professional and courteous. I would definitely hire him again!

I called Aaron to investigate a water leak unrelated to the sump pump which he quickly recognized was coming from my furnace which I immediately had fixed. While he was there I asked him to give me an estimate for installing a new sump pump. He got back to me the next day and I set up an appointment to have the pump installed. After spending a couple of hours making sure the pump was working properly, he also came back the next day in case any adjustments were needed. Aaron even followed up a few days later to make sure everything was good. I plan on using Aaron for other projects around my house.

They were very good. I am due, I hope they are still in business, cause I would call them again. I think he did a very good job.

Aaron removed the old faucet and installed the new faucet with no problem whatsoever. The toilet reset was more challenging. The waste pipe flange was not securely fastened to the subfloor and there was a fair amount of rust due to improper hardware the original installer used. Aaron secured the flange to the subfloor and removed the rust from the tile floor. He then installed a new wax seal, leveled the toilet and caulked the base. My wife and I are pleased with quality of the work done.

I don't know where to start! Aaron is amazing. I found him on Angie's list and decided to contact him since he was local to the house. I was a bit skeptical finding someone on line. Was I wrong with that thought. I sent him an email with what I wanted done and within 30 minutes ( on a saturday) he responded and said he could complete the task. He came to the house a few days later, provided an estimate and we said "YES". I was a little concered with what he would dig up after the carpet was removed from the steps and what kind of work would be required. But I left it in his hands. He recommended carpet runners and we went with that. Our bathroom was a mess. It needed re caulking but it was way past needing it, again I was skeptical it would be perfect. I left Aaron a key and left him to take care of these items while we where at work. Upon arriving home my house was neat and Aaron was awaiting to show me around to all the newness. No words can express our pleasure with the work completes and especially when I saw the steps and the bathroom and the transformation. Meticulously done and neither of those jobs turned out to be that easy. I am in awh! We feel so lucky to have met Aaron and know that we have located a gem! Aaron was very professional and demonstrated a high degree of personalized service that you do not always see from other contractors. His team did a great job of cleaning up after the work was done and the quality was top notch. While they were there to address issues related to water coming through the block on a wall in the basement, Aaron also fixed an issue with a leak we had around our septic pipe going outside at no additional charge along with fixing some cracks on our front porch to reduce points of entry for water. Aaron also gave us guarantee on his workmanship for the life of the house which gave us peace of mind. His advice was honest and he was there to help us the customer rather than just make a buck. I would certainly hire Aaron again for other basement projects and would recommend him to anyone that needs to do waterproofing.

Aaron was great. He explained my choices and tried to offer the most affordable, yet sensible solution. On the day they were to install the pump, he came with another worker. Both were friendly and professional. They installed the new sump pump and drainpipe in just a few hours. Aaron explained that he had gone to several places trying to locate the best back up pump and battery for my needs, however no one had it in stock. Therefor he would have to order it and would call me when it arrived. The backup took longer than expected to arrive, but Aaron called to let me know that he was waiting for it and as soon as it arrived he would give me a call. When it did arrive, he came over to install it right away. Again, he was friendly and professional. He explained how the backup worked and left the literature with me in case I needed more information. I would definitely hire him again and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Showed up on time for the estimate. Actually went in the yard and walked the property to be sure to understand my situation before making recommendations. Price was fair. Showed up on time and worked very clean. Did some little extras and offered to return to observe the operation at no cost. I believe that he sees the big picture. Too many contractors are about the job, he is about the customer.

Aaron is great to work with and very responsive so don't hesitate to call this company. We called 4 different companies (weekday) and only Aaron called us back. And he arrived at our house in less than 1 hour! He looked at our basement and said no issues with water coming in. He took the time to find the leak in a pipe which we didn't see. Aaron was excellent at trouble shooting water related problems in my basement. He traced water leaks, tested, and verified moisture accumulation in troubled spots. He took time to explain issues and potential solutions for me to explore. He did not charge for his time (an hour) and concluded that my basement does not need water proofing but needs a few fixes for water leaks. He is very knowledgeable, fair, and I would trust his advice. He pro-actively took a look at my garage doors and deck where water was causing a few issues (to be looked into for future). He gave me quotes that were reasonable.

He started with the obvious (cracked foundation) and quickly worked through a couple of other possibilities (sewer, AC) to solve the problem. I was amazed and very pleased. I think they have good knowledge about how homes are put together and how they work. Will definitely call them again!

Aaron, his partner Wesley and their team did an excellent job. Their price was very competitive compared with the other 3 quotes I received. Aaron is very customer focused and took the time to make sure all questions were answered. During the project, they had to move the stairs to break the floor underneath and the platform under the stairs feel apart due to old age (see pictures). Aaron rebuilt/redirected the stairs at no extra cost. They also had to replace a pipe under the floor where the clothes washer drains to that had disintegrated. They did this for a nominal extra cost and we were extremely happy to have this fixed while the work was done since it solved another ongoing problem (bad smell when we did the laundry). They also completed the job in 2 says which was much quicker than what the other guys were telling me. So overall, I would highly recommend Aaron.

I had decided to contact Aaron Graf based on the reviews he had received on Angie's List. We were getting water coming into our basement after going years without a problem, and we were stumped about its source. Aaron Graf responded to my email the day I submitted it on his website, and set up a time to take a look within 2 days. Aaron arrived on time and got right to work. He worked like a detective trying to figure out the source of our problem--not an easy task since we have both drywall and paneling. Ultimately he carefully removed a panel in the window well and peered behind the dry wall to discover what looked like a leak in the plumbing. We ran some water to confirm the source. Even though this was something a plumber had to take care of, and would not require basement waterproofing, Aaron spent another 20+ minutes with me diagramming where the leak was and explaining how to remove the paneling without messing up the drop ceiling. This information helped us hugely by allowing us to open up the wall exactly where the leak was without an issue before the plumber got here to make the repair. Aaron obviously takes a lot of pride in his work, and I really appreciated all of his guidance. He spent about an hour at our house, and did not charge us. If you need help with water in your basement, he is the guy to call--he is very knowledgeable, energetic and fair.

I've had a longstanding problem with water ponding onto my basement floor along parts of the back wall after a rainfall. It had gotten much worse over the last several months. After much stress and interviewing many contractors, I selected Aaron and his crew. They did a fantastic job. They installed a drain along the back wall as well as a new sump basin. They worked efficiently and quickly, causing minimal disruption to my household. The installation was done neatly and they left the place spotless. All-in-all, an outstanding job, easy to work with, good guys and I highly recommend them.

After a big rain, our basement flooded. We've only had flooding occur recently and while we called in a couple of people to diagnose the problem, no one could tell us why it was happening. We found A. Graf & Son on Angie's List and after reading the reviews, we called Aaron to come take a look. He came to our home within hours, told us what the problem was, and provided an estimate quickly. Within two days, he'd installed a sump pump with a water back up as well as re-routed some downspouts that were too close to the house. He did a very thorough and clean job and for a great price. He didn't try to sell us what we didn't need and was very responsive to all our questions. I'd highly recommend him to anyone.

Aaron come to evaluate the job at the agreed time. Understood what was required. Explained what he proposed to do and how long it would take. Provided a cost estimate, availability and how long the work would take. Came to do work on day agreed upon, did required work, including protecting shrubbery. The job went great. I called Aaron on a Monday. He was there the next day to give me an estimate. The job was scheduled the following Monday to give me time to clean and paint the windows involved and avoid predicted rainy days. He arrived and completed the job on schedule in spite of the unforeseen cement issue. I am confident the finished job will prevent water from entering the basement through the windows on a regular basis. Aaron was very considerate of keeping the area clean, replacing bricks, preserving the lilies of the valley and securing the downspout shown in the photo. The final cost was less than the original estimate despite the additional work. I highly recommend this provider.

This was our second very positive experience with A Graf and Son. We contacted Mr. Graf to replace a broken window pane in a door. It was important that the job be done by someone very professional since the door is a beautiful, high quality 50 year old door which we did not want to have marred. We were very pleased with the neat and professional work Mr. Graf did. He also repaired and mounted a heavy mirrored door that had fallen off its track, again, we were very pleased with the job. We had previously hired Mr. Graf to waterproof our basement, and he also did an excellent job. I was glad to find he was experienced in other household repairs and renovations.

This is a follow-up review on the very professional and successful waterproofing work that A. Graf and Son did in our basement in April, 2013. I am happy to report that after three years the basement has remained totally dry, thanks to a job well done! Aaron's excellent work came to mind yesterday when the rains were so heavy that water was rushing down our driveway like a river, yet the basement remained totally dry. Prior to having the work done, our basement always filled up with water when it rained, sometimes an alarming amount. Since the job was completed, the basement is free of mold and musty odors, and we are happy that we are enjoying a dry, healthy environment, thanks to A. Graf and Son. As I mentioned in my original review, we were not only happy with the work done, but also gave high marks to Aaron and his very professional crew who worked quickly and neatly. Additionally, we were impressed with the way that Aaron answered our questions, and explained the job and our contract prior to taking on the job.

I had a sump pump system in my basement installed (at a significant price, I later learned) from a "well-known" franchise, which, after 6 months of enduring a constant 3 minute cycling, and 3 recalls... Ugh! I then checked Angie's List for someone unbiased, to access the situation. Mr. Graf was planning his wedding the next day, however he came out to try to help with my problem. He raised the float and zip tied the secondary float to only inter act when it reaches the desired capacity. It worked immediately! He also located a coupling link that was discharging water and fixed it. The other company used the wrong pvc glue. The reason for my 2nd recommendation was my back-up sump failed and I could not leave it plugged in without it screaming, a failure. I called Mr. Graf if he could possibly come out to fix it. He assured me he would but said, first check with the "well-known" company, because your pump is still under warranty. I called the "well-known" company who came out. They looked at the system and said, "that is very clever how WE adapted to your incoming water", and I said, "no, you did not configure this. I had called another professional". They replaced the faulty pump without cost, and because of Mr. Graf, without cost.
