Description of Work: They planted new shrubbery, flowers and transplanted bushes to rear of the house. They brought in at least 10-12 cubic yards of mulch and make repairs to an existing stone walkway. He listened to what I wanted, offered great suggestions and had great follow through.

My neighbor is also my sister. She hired this service to cut her lawn and remove cuttings/debris. They apparently decided it was easier to dump it on my adjoining wooded property. On 5/21, I saw a worker on my lot return to my sister's property, followed by the sound of a lawnmower running there. Later investigation showed repeated dumpings in the same location on my property (a large lot with a good-sized wooded frontage that I do not regularly frequent) There was no question about a mistake (see bold type, above) -- this was lazy, deliberate, and a clear example of how much you can trust them to do a job when you are not at home to supervise.
Description of Work: Dumped my neighbor's lawn debris, repeatedly, on my property in Warren, N.J.

Response from D'Urso Landscaping, Inc.
(removed member name): The day after this erroneous review was posted I showed up at your house and spoke with your lovely wife and explained I have never been given specific instructions not to use the wooded area up until that point in time. Your wife called you while I was at your home and you were at Costco and could not speak. I asked your wife for your email address which she was kind enough to give me and I have sent multiple emails trying to contact you with no reply. I would hope next time you post a review, positive or negative, you would have all the facts in place. I would appreciate you reaching out to me some day, you have had my email address for some time. Regards, Carmine D'Urso

We moved into a new home and knew the front steps were collapsing and needed to be replaced. We immediately called D'Urso Landscaping Inc. (We had used them in the past at our former house to build a paver patio and walkway as well as designing landscaping around our home). They provided us with a fair price and began the work immediately after we decided on a design, knowing that the old stairs were a safety hazard. They were professional, full of great ideas, willing to walk us through each stage of the project, and they were always on time. They even worked in the pouring rain to compelete the demolition of the existing stairs and walkway. The stairs and walkway were completed in a timely fashion and we could not be happier with the outcome. The stairs were exactly what I described to the owners that I wanted and I now have my dream stairs leading to my front door. They were meticulous and cleaned up after themselves daily. We would highly recommend D'Urso Landscaping to anyone considering new stairs, patio, or walkway. We have even hired them once again to begin work as soon as weather permits to build a 1500 square foot patio in our backyard and install underground drainage. D'Urso Landscaping is an extremly professional company and a family business that truly takes pride in and values the product that they provide to their customers.
Description of Work: Demolition of existing front stairwell and cement walkway Hauled away debris Prepared area for paver installation Installed pavers Constructed new half circle steps with bullnose caps
From the time I first contacted D'Urso Landscaping, both Carmine and his brother, Cito, were very professional. They were punctual when they came to give us an estimate; they started when they said they would; and, they finished ahead of schedule. During the course of the work, changes were made to the scope of the job in order to better accommodate the slopes of our property. Instead of bumping up the costs as contractors are know to do with changes, Carmine came up with designs that reduced our overall costs. What a surprise! What a pleasure to deal with!
Description of Work: We had extensive work done in both our front and back yards. Included was the removal of existing shrubs, trees, etc and installation of all new landscaping and paver walkways. D'urso Landscaping also cleaned up some old areas that badly needed refreshing....all at no extra charge to us!

My previous landscaper soldhis client list to D'Urso and so I used them this season. It was basically fine until Fall Clean-up time. I had been told that there would be a "leaf Charge" on my bill separate from lawn service charge. The first visit for clean-up the workers left a very, very large pile of leaves on the street in front of my house. I had to call to have them remove them before I got a ticket of some sort. When I got my bill, I was charged for the vacuuming up of the leaves as well a leaf charge. this landscaper works in my town and knows that they do not provide leaf p/u. Fall clean-up/leaf charge should be what is - cleaning up the leaves. I cannot imagine what he expected me to do with the leaves. He was the landscaper I hired and he was to provide the same level of service as my previous one. Also I was charged a lawn service when in fact those men were performing the cleanup byt mowing the leaves up. Others were blowing the leaves out to them to mow over. It was either a leaf charge or a lawn charge, but it cannot be both.

Response from D'Urso Landscaping, Inc.
It was more efficient, and takes less time, which means a cost savings to you and I, to stage the leaves on the road temporarily that we blew off your front yard lawn for vacuum pick up instead of blowing all your leaves from the front yard to your backyard wooded area. The reason the leaves were staged there for a week is because it had snowed four inches the very next day and it took four days for the snow to melt and we were waiting for the leaves to dry so it would be easier to vacuum. The reason why your previous landscaper did not vacuum your leaves like we did is because he does not own a giant leaf vacuum. Even after we spoke on the phone and I made an considerable adjustment on your invoice you still did not remit the entire balance like you promised. Instead you claimed we committed turf damage and blew mulch out of your planting beds which was completely false and you never once mentioned this during our phone conversations and cowardly wrote it on your invoice. I honestly made every attempt to rectify this situation, explained to you my thought process on how we approached your clean up, I made a generous adjustment and omitted the leaf vacuum charge to your past due invoice, and you still did not pay in full and posted an erroneous review.
