Powells Roofing & Siding

Gary came out out for an estimate and evaluate the siding. I waited t4 or 5 days to get the estimate. Never got anything so I called the office. They said they would email it. Made sure they had the right email address. Never got anything. I called a again a few days later and was told Gary would get back to me. Never got anything. The next week I texted Gary and he told me he would take care of it. 3-4 weeks have gone by since the initial visit but still haven’t received anything an estimate.

Siding-type repair work to garage. Remove and replace damaged siding, install new plywood and capping, etc. to close open junctions at gables.

Never showed up to see the work after scheduling appointments

Took a little time to get started, but once there done in a day.

Gary is wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable and personable. Fantastic price by a long shot. Very organized. His crew chief Elmer was wonderful. Was very clear from start to finish. The finished job was perfect, they replaced 2 old skylights and the fit was perfect. I had another skylight closed up and they matched the shingles perfectly. Had my gutters cleaned well and the whole place was left spotless. Found myself a new roofer. Highly recommended.

I called them and they came out and did an estimate for repairs to the roof on my mother's house. All good so far. Then when I emailed them to do the work, no response. Emailed twice more, still no response. Finally, my 88 year old mother called them and they yelled at her and hung up on her.

Our gutters were old and in danger of falling off in one area. They provided estimates for replacing the bad area and for the whole house. I took the latter. All done in a few hours for less than I expected. Quality work and it couldn't have been easier.

In the beginning to get in touch was a tad difficult, but once we did and we set up the appt to have the gutters cleaned it was smooth sailing. We've used them twice now for our gutters and the guys do a great job. they clean up after themselves, and are quick. I found out our neighbor uses them too, because I saw them go there afterwards the one day.

I called Powell's based on a few recommendations and he came out and looked at the roof from the ground. Said that a few loose tiles does not mean the whole roof has to be replaced. Especially since the roof was not that old. He recommended not doing anything unless more tiles keep coming off. A year later - no additional loose tiles. He would not charge me for his time - travel plus ~ 10-15 min at my house. Will definitely be calling up Powell's next time I need roof work!

Contractor arrived on time as specified. The work performance was excellent. Each of the workmen worked on multiple tasks which made the jobs progress efficiently and quickly. I would definitely hire Gary Powell again.

Sent estimate in very timely manner. Tried to schedule around rain. Did exceptional job. Kept us informed of scheduling even on doing work on a Saturday. Explained why the area was leaking. I appreciated the education he provided. He made since and solved this issue. They cleaned everything as they went.

First, Gary Powell responded promptly to our e-mail about this relatively small job we sent via the Powell's website, and this was after we received no response from two other companies we tried to contact before we decided to check Angie's List. These days, we already considered this a "plus" for Powell's. Gary promptly and professionally scheduled a visit to our location, and provided a very clear, comprehensive estimate. All the work was performed very much to our satisfaction within the time that Gary said it would be done at what we consider a fair price.

The crew came on time as promised, did a great job, picked up all debris and the price was great. No complaints and I'm very satisfied. I will hire them again.

We had a leak in our roof. Powells came out to see the problem very quickly. We set a date for the repair. Work was completed on schedule. And our roof and gutters were cleaned at the same time. We were very happy with all our interactions with Powell Roofing, and will certainly hire them again. Highly recommend.

Gary was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The estimate was fair and the actual work was done as promised and without much change from original estimate. Crew arrived early and cleaned up fully afterward, including nails and Debris. Gary was available by phone for questions and payment can be done online through direct debit from checking about. Very easy. Price was reasonable and trustworthy.

Gary went over what was needed to be done and the price was very reasonable. Eric came down a few days after and did the actual work. It was supposed to take a couple of hours but he ended up working on it for more than half a day. He didn't rush the job and was quite thorough. It was a pleasant, stress free experience and I will definitely be using Powells roofing for my future needs.

Wonderfully...wouldn't change a thing

Gary Powell is as professional as professional could be. When we had a major wind storm tore off half of the flat roof over the back of my house, he came right out with one of his men (Sergio) and took pictures of all of the damage (roofing, gutters and sheathing were either gone or in shambles). They then installed a tarp and have me an estimate for the full repair. While awaiting the insurance adjuster, the tarp started to come off. Sergio immediately came out and secured the tarp. We just had the repair/replacement done by Gary's crew and we couldn't be happier. Not only did they do an incredible job, they were so neat and courteous, you would never have known they were here. The yard and patio were free from any and all debris.

Gary was great in answering all of my questions and provided the best quality materials and guarantee compared to others that i had quote from Angie's List. The price was competitive and I feel that I received greater value. The roof install went smoothly and neatly. The gutters were installed by a subcontractor. I had some siding replaced as well that needed repair. Work was done correctly as promised. Gary was always polite and professional to me. He is very busy, so he needs to be prompted to return communications sometimes. I had a few things that needed adjusting after the initial installation and this was done without a fight. However, I had to wait too long for these to adjustments to get done. I found Gary to be very honest and gave me everything that was promised.

Very thorough work. They actually arrived earlier than I expected.
