Temprite

My home warranty company sent Temprite out to fix my air conditioner unit. After 5 weeks, 3 service tech inspections and 1 attempt to replace the part where the brought the wrong part with them I had finally had enough and went with another company. If you call them expect to be put on hold for 15-30 minutes and spoken to rudely when you finally get someone on the line.

A company is rated based on how well they perform under non-standard conditions. We were referred to this company through Sears Home Warranty. They were very prompt initially and came out the same day to look at the equipment. I was pleasantly surprised, only to be fooled much later. The heat exchanger had to be replaced and they said that they had to order the part. The part which was supposed to take 2-3 business days, took 5 business days. This put us right in the day of the snow storm. Next, when they did come to our house with the part, they discovered they had the wrong part. I wonder what kind of review they have that a tech drives all the way upto a customer site and then discovers that they have the wrong part!!!! Don't they open it at the start of the day to make sure technicians have the correct parts before starting off their day. Next they said that they will put a rush order on the part. Next story was that the part is not under their control and they are at the mercy of somebody else. Another 3 days have gone by and they still don't have the part. Whatever happened to the "Rush" order???? With all of this happening, they are not willing to make an exception and go the extra mile to get the job done. Their casual approach was "when we get the part, we'll schedule your job". My personal recommendation - STAY AWAY FROM TEMPRITE. Not worth the headache and trouble that one has to go through.

make it impossible to book an appt after i bought the coupon from groupon - is the owner aware of all of these bad reviews?? I'm guessing he decided to try out groupon because they have no other way to stay in business. same on me for trusting them.

He kept saying this was going to cost you a lot of money. He could have just said, ma'am you need a new air conditioner. It was just inappropriate. I do need a new air conditioner but I won't be getting one from there. It was just inappropriate. For me to get American Home to honor the house warranty. I was very disgusted that they have particular companies that do work. He did recharge the air conditioner. It was the way he was talking. He just said it was going to cost a lot of money. There was an company that could replace it for three thousand dollars. Its inappropriate. I wouldn't have said what he said. I would have said, this is what we got to do, and this was the amount that it cost. He did put in Freon. I would be concern he did something to make the unit die. That is how bad I have faith in him. I don't trust him. The responsiveness was good.
