Freehold glass is the closest store to my house. I called, they gave me a price quote and told me they could fix my window on the spot. Everything was wrong! Never go to this store! The price was $25 higher (almsot double) than what I was quoted, and did not want to fix window on the spot. John (the owner) was yelling, cursing and unprofessional. He told me his wife quoted me, then called his wife and yelled at her. He finally replaced the glass. When I got home I noticed the glass was not placed properly back in the window. I decided to just finish the job myself. I did not want to go back to the store and deal with the unprofessional, bad workmanship, and over priced items. DO NOT GO TO FREEHOLD GLASS FOR ANYTHING!
Description of Work: I moved into a home and had a storm window break. This place was supposed to fix the storm window. They did nothing correctly! Do not go to this place for anything!

I needed to replace one section of glass on my patio window and this company is the closest to my home. I took the measurements over to the company, and was quoted two prices, one if the size was standard and a higher if it wasn't. Even though I had measured I conceded that I might have measured incorrectly between the frame and trim. The person I spoke with was polite although a bit curt, and made it obvious that they had little interest in residential work unless it was a complete replacement. My final decision came down to price. The quote was so high I left to decide if it made sense to pay more and replace the entire door. I went to a different glass shop about a mile away and their price was just under 60% of what I was quoted here. When they came out I asked them what they would charge to cover the raw wood under the door with aluminum, and they said they would do it for $50 since they could do everything at the same time. Any homeowner knows you can't get anything done for that price. I'm very happy I chose not to use this Angie's list merchant.
Description of Work: I chose not to do business with this company.

There was a huge wind storm overnight. During the storm one of the panes of glass from our bay window blew out. I was up at 3AM duct taping plastic over the hole. In the morning I called and spoke to Jeff. He gave me an estimate and an approximate time that he would be out to fix the window. He had me measure the glass and gave me an estimate over the phone. He showed up when he said he would, custom cut the glass to fit the window, and finished the job in around 10 minutes. The job was neat and thorough. He explained why the pane blew out and assured me it would not happen again. He also stuck to the estimate he gave me. Very reliable company. Make sure if you call for a repair that you measure the space so you can give that to them over the phone to get the estimate.
