Time consuming, because the parts required aren't something any repair service has on-hand. And each part had to be replaced, and the washing machine re-tested, before the trouble-shooting could be done again, identifing if anything else was wrong. It took about 6 weeks overall, between waiting for the initial service visit, and then each time parts had to be ordered.
Description of Work: Fairly new washing machine door latch wouldn't unlock. Service Tech had to order replacement electronic part. When installed, there was still a problem, and another part had to be replaced. When that part came, it turned out to be the wrong part, and another part had to be ordered. In total, 3 or 4 expensive electronic boards/parts had to be replaced. While the parts were still under warrantee, labor wasn't, but the repairs were so extensive, the manufacturer picked up the labor cost, except for the initial house call fee.

Their price is very high and they have their trip charges of $85 as well. I didn't like them. The service man said I needed a part which would cost $34and he would get it. The next day he called me and said that the price was $135. I got bumped up and I had to pay their trip charge so I was locked in. To spend such a big price on a dryer that is five years old is kind of extraordinary. Price wise they are totally out of reach.
Description of Work: Jersey Appliance came out on 13th June to repair my dryer.

The quality of the job was very good. It took a while to get the part in and get things scheduled. The gentlemen that came out really took pains to do the job cleanly and professionally. He cleaned up well after the job as well.

The technician arrived timely and completed the work quickly, perhaps too quickly. A part was replaced. However, upon checking the dryer during its cycle, it was discovered there was not heat. Upon opening the dryer door, I was greeted with the strong odor of natural gas. PSE&G came to check it out. It was deemed that we could remain in the house. They set up a service call for us. They told us that we were sold a part that we did not need. They repaired the dryer and it was half the price of the original repair. Although we did receive good service from Jersey Appl. in the past, the particular tech that now services our area is not, so not. I should add this was a replacement dryer as he busted the last one. And to boot, he has a GIANT ATTITUDE PROBLEM!!!!!!
Description of Work: Jersey Appliance was hired to repair our dryer, which had no heat. As always, the call left on the company's answering machine was returned promptly and an agreeable date and time was set up.
