Adam did not send the email estimate or even try to call or contact me in any way. I guess he decided not to do the job, but forgot to tell me. I finally contacted him three weeks later by leaving a voice mail asking him to call me back because I had not received an email from him. When he sent me the email rather than returning my call, I called him to discuss it. I asked why he had not contacted me within the three weeks, even though he had told me he would send an estimate in the "next day or two" when he was at my house All he said was he forgot. He did not apologize or say anything else, there was just an awkward silence because I was waiting for him to say something more than just that. He had told me how satisfied he'd been with my husband fixing his trucks and said he wouldn't go anywhere else, so he would give me a good deal and try to beat the estimate I had. However, he quoted the job at more than $100 higher than the one he was trying to beat, and he included tax. He included in the estimate that he would deduct tax if I paid cash. I explained to Adam that I had another estimate since, and the honest, professional gentleman (I wish I could put in a good word for his business in this review) who got the job advised me that tax could not be charged on a water neutralizer as it is a home improvement. Adam said he "never heard of that' even though he's been in business for 10 years! Then he tried to act confused and said, "Did I put tax in my estimate?" It's shown in the email intentionally listed like this: Sales Tax 7.00%...$89.25. So I guess that's his idea of a 'good deal' to show his appreciation for the good service and prices he has benefited by from my family business. I joined Angie's List to find reputable businesses whose owners practice honesty and integrity, and have come to expect such. I am very surprised that any business owner who advertises on Angie's List would try to conduct business in this manner. I hope anyone who reads this will not even contact Epic Well for an estimate (you might not get one anyway). Adam is unprofessional and dishonest. Thank you to the guy who did the job for $314.25 less and did not try to collect "tax money" from me. He kept his word by calling me with an estimate one day after he came out. Then kept our appointment to fix the problem of sand in my water. Don't we all deserve such consideration and fairness,
