Description of Work: David quoted $250. for 1" patch on pool liner. I told him that little scratch had been there for 2 seasons and had not gotten any bigger. He tested it with some blue liquid and told me it was very deep, but I wasn't convinced that it caused so much water to leak out overnight. I went inside for 2 minutes and when I came out he was in the pool cutting a patch. I told him I hadn't authorized the job and didn't have $250 so he fixed it anyway then said he'd take $100 cash. Wow! He way over quoted me. I still wasn't convinced problem was fixed so he said to call if it wasn't fixed. I asked for receipt but he did not have book so he asked for paper and wrote out unofficial note and wrote paid. Sure enough, next day a lot of water leaked out and I saw the real problem, a big gash in the liner that he missed. He came back and fixed the problem. While he was there, a contractor from Angie's List called back and said they would patch for $45! I told her it was done already at more than twice the price and she apologized. Second time back David told me the pump seal was leaking and replaced it for $120. Its still leaking and I've tried numerous times to get him to come back, but he hasn't. Said he would order the part and I had to call him several times. He did not keep the appointment and wasn't answering my calls so I text him to ask if he had come out while I wasn't home and he text me back that he "never made it". Very unprofessional, over priced, pump still leaking

+ -1 moreHe closed the pool in 2011 and everything was great. Called him again to close in 2012. Could not get a call back so texted him and finally got an answer. He agreed to do the closing but kept delaying. Finally came when I wasn't home but did not clean the pool or add any chemicals. Did not tell me the cover was ripped and put it on anyway. At least he had the decency not to charge me. When I opened it this season it was disgusting. Smelled like a swamp. WILL NEVER USE HIM AGAIN OR RECOMMEND HIM!

Description of Work: Opened my unground pool which had been closed for several years. The provider helped educate me about pool maintenance, supplies and chemistry. Dave- owner/ operator is both experienced and reliable. I recommend him everyone with a pool and intend to use his services each season.

+ -1 moreHave used Dave for 3 years always provided excellent/timely service. Never had algae in pool or any other problems until this year. Since 6/13 when he vacuumed nothing but problems eg: slit in a hose (only 3 yrs old) replaced myself, other hoses got loose from filter and pump and water shooting everywhere. Pump as of today is not operating. DO NOT USE HIM! I attempted to call him regarding the vacuuming but he did not pick up or return my calls. Finally called fron my cell which he did not have the numer and guess what, he answered. Next time I used cell he did not pick up or return message, must have recogniozed number. So out of desperation had a friend call from her phone and yes he picked up not recognizing her tel number. Now all I wanted was for him to vacuul pool for which he had been paid by check which cleared my bank within 2 days. Should have paid by credit card and could have disputed the charge. Oh and yes he loves my dog too. Very disappointing experience totally surprised at his behavior, i personally believe he has some sort of problem.
Description of Work: on June 10 opened pool set up pump/filter/hoses/emptied water bags...did not vacuum for which he was paid! Returned on 6/13/2013 to vacuum. It rained all day and i was not at home. Why would he vacuum on a day like that??

+ -1 moreMy pool is always crystal clear. I have had four other people since I have lived here, and I started using him two years ago and my pool always looks great. He is reasonable, reliable and he likes dogs. He brings his own chemicals and vacuum. I don't have to worry about using him.
