Description of Work: Amount Spent: I first want to comment that I did not put a $ amount in the "how much did you spend" column because I am addressing a work still in progress and referring to several jobs over the years. Suffice it to say, that I have spent thousands with Interior Decisions and on furniture, contractors and materials in this and other projects, all to great satisfaction. I have worked with Karla Trincanello and Interior Decisions (an award winning, often written about designes) for at least 4 major home renovations over the past 20 years and have recommended her to friends who have hired her for multiple home renovations and then they recommended her to other friends and family. She has always done a wonderful job, leaving us all with inspired, livable and unique interiors that take into consideration our specific style, interests and budget. Most recently I hired Karla to help me design and implement some major and minor upgrades to my house which we didn't get to, when I worked with her 7 years ago when I moved in. These new renovations include: hardwood floors in the living room, dining room, foyer and a redesign with hardwood of the stairs to the second floor. In addition, she designed a totally renovated guest bathroom from tile design, vanity, counter top, mirrors, lighting, and fixtures. This is still in progress but all the pieces are wonderful together, the tile and floor designs are gorgeous and she worked with me to accomplish this with some budget constraints. Still to come, she is working with me on new drapes and carpet for the master bedroom, carpets for downstairs, and then an upgraded office / art studio furniture. Karla and Interior Decisions are wonderful to work with. They are always creative, always tuning in to the homeowner's preferences and always responsive, calm, helpful and professional. Karla has many years of experience and understands design and architecture from the inside out. This makes for NO mistakes because the material does not suit the environment or the space was not measured properly. In addition, Karla has access to a wealth of top notch contractors and suppliers in all fields that she has selected based on their skill, quality and professionalism. This again leads to a wonderful end result with NO bad surprises along the way. In previous projects with Karla, we have redone a master bath from a 1970's room with a horrible jetted tub to a spa like bath with a beautiful walk in shower with all the sprays, hidden shelves for towels and supplies and a marble seat with handheld shower. The tile design and layout are beautiful and Karla was creative and actually was able to reclaim space for the Master Bedroom to provide an alcove for a dresser, greatly enhancing that MB space too. Karla also did a major kitchen renovation for me, with beautiful cabinets, mouldings, fixtures, floor, table and chairs and drapes. Karla is especially good at mixing favorite old pieces with newer pieces that also stand the test of time. What you end up with is a room that suits you and is ecletic, elegant and timeless. Over the years, Karla has helped me with bedroom furniture, living room furniture, dining room furniture, office furniture and draperies in the whole house, mirrors, lamps, carpets, upholstery, occasional pieces and accessories, while incorporating sentimental pieces from my parents home and favorite pieces of mine. All of the above are reasons why, I keep coming back to Karla whenever it is time for a change and recommend her to friends without reservations.
