Crew was prompt, neat, professional and the results were excellent. The Business owner was on-site multiple times per day. Price was reasonable and a great value.

Everyone was very friendly. They did a wonderful job at patching the holes where pictures hung and not a drop of paint was spilled anywhere. Very neat and a very well done job.

They did a fantastic job! Scot made suggestions for the rear deck color since I didn't like what was already there. He was spot on. I love it. The back deck is wood and it's old and not in the best of condition, but he did a great job! The front porch floor was painted to match my shutters as I requested an it turned out lovely. I have already asked him to look at the house foundation as the paint is peeling and ugly.

It went great! They came when they said they would, did what they said they'd do, charged the quoted price. Scot came to get things started, and came back every day to check things out. The crew was professional, very competent (and happy, I think, which is always the sign of a well-run company). The crew are long-term employees, not contractors, so they have incentive to do a good job, and they really do. This is a busy company, with lots of jobs going on (another good sign), but the boss (Scot) is attentive anyway. I recommend them without hesitation and would definitely use them again.

Kathleen, who handles Scot's calendar, is a pleasure to deal with on the phone. She was very patient and accommodating when scheduling my estimate. Scot arrived punctually, gave me a ballpark figure on the spot and took my contact information, telling me the official estimate would be emailed shortly. Unfortunately, some technical issues then occurred. I did not receive the estimate via email, and when I left a phone message a couple days later it was not returned. I posted a review here detailing this, and quickly got a phone call from Kathleen wanting to try and figure out what had happened. I could tell she was sincere and that this was clearly a combination of an honest mistake, computer error and just plain bad luck. I now understand why the other reviews on here are so positive, and would definitely contact them again in the future. I truly wish things had worked out with them this time, as I ended up less than thrilled with the other company I ended up using.

It went very well. I have used Scot Rule in the past and have already talked to him about additional work. He also recommended a carpenter that he has used in the past and I was very pleased with him as well

We did not end up using the company for the job, however. We decided to reside the house instead of paint. I thought the estimate was reasonable. The technician was professional and honest. It did take a few weeks to get the estimate but that was not an issue for me. I had no issues with scheduling.

We believe he underestimated the time it should of taken his crew by at least 1 day as he was hurrying them very intently by day 3. The crew painted over new wall plugs and had drips of poly in areas, finger prints (wall, doors not getting poly). I think they were here 5 days and Scott thought it would take 4. Quality of work, really a B+. No drips would of gotten an A. The guys were very punctual everyday. Even though most did not speak English they were polite and seem considerate of the home. Call again, but late in spring for another job, exterior house painting and another room inside. Spring was wet and he was already behind with exterior work and he really should believe he can't do it all. I know you don't want to turn down work, but telling the truth holds a lot of water. Never got the estimate because he is so busy. I'd rather hear ,"sorry I can't get to it until maybe fall" instead of "I've got a lot of guys and several teams that work for me so I can do it". So where are they? Busy catching up.

Scot & his crew were prompt, efficient & met all our expectations throughout the job in our large house. No detail or request was ignored. Job was completed on budget & on schedule. Will likely use this company again. Very satisfied.

Scott is great. Conscientious, thorough, prompt, checks on his crew. I wouldn't think of using anyone else to do painting in our house. And, I trust the crew he hires to do the work.

The work is good. The price - which may be inaccurate because it was a while ago - and the date may be off by a few months - was more expensive than any other painting company -and was exorbitant. I sense that he feels he's the "go-to" guy and I certainly won't go to him again.

They set an appointment for Friday at 9am and showed up on time. The work included quite a bit of spackling and sanding,they finished in one day and left our house just as they found it ,clean. The guys doing the work were polite and professional and took great care their work was perfect. Scot was a gentleman and his wife Kathleen was a pleasure to deal with.he couldn't finish the exterior work due to the weather So that will be done as the weather breaks. Great work really good people. Plan on using them from now on!!!

My experience was very good; I have no complaints. The people who did the work were good too. They did what they were supposed to do and there were no problems.

Great job from the estimate to job completion. Scot took the time to give us a thorough estimate and walk us through the process. The job started on time and finished on time. There was some disruption to the living area, but the team did an incredibly thorough job fixing every imperfection in the walls/tape/etc before painting. We made some color and job-scope changes along the way and found Scot and the team to be flexible and accomodating. There were no surprises on price at the end. Overall, a fantastic job and a good experience. I would highly recommend Scot Christopher Rule Painting. We will use them again.

Prompt service, quality work, and flexible when the game plan changes midstream. Not the most inexpensive game in town, but certainly worth my repeat business.

While this contractor's work was acceptable, his professionalism and integrity left a lot to be desired. The contract we signed stated that his crew would remove all items from the deck prior to doing the work and return them after the deck stain had dried. On Wednesday September 18, 2013, in the late afternoon Mr Rule came to our house to check on the finished work and to ascertain whether the deck stain was dry. He also asked for a check for the full amount for the completed work, which I gave to him. He stated that he would have his crew come by the next day and return the furniture, grill, and other items to the deck. They did not come on Thursday, nor did they come on Friday. On Friday afternoon I called his business phone and left a message that the promised task of returning the items to the deck, had not been completed. I did not receive a return call. Finally, today, Monday, September 23, my frustration with this situation reached the limit and I returned the items myself to the deck, some of which were quite cumbersome to move. While I understand that work schedules are subject to various unpredictable influences, this could have easily been dealt with, by giving me a courtesy phone call or sending an e-mail. The implied message from this unfortunate scenario is, " I have your money, my work is done!"

They did painting and stuco. I was very pleased with his work.

I can't say enough good things about Scot Christopher Rule Painting. I have a Toll Brothers home that has very high ceilings, lots of trim and crown molding. I paid extra to use Benjamin Moore paint. I had everything painted except my office, my laundry room and three bedrooms. From beginning to end, this is how a good contractor should be. His wife who runs the office is so pleasant and professional. She gets back to you right away. Scot was always courteous, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. We couldn't be happier with the results of the job, and that is no exaggeration. His crew was professional, personable, very talented at their craft and so very careful with our home and its contents. Scot stopped by the job often and was always available if I needed anything, which I did not. These are not compliments that can apply to many companies these days. If you love your home and want to hire the best, I definitely would recommend you hire Scot Christopher Rule Painting.

Five man crew---job was completed in two days

He is not on the job personally but he always sends the right crew. He is very good and knows what I expect and he knows he will hear from me if he does not do a good job. I trust him and his crew cleans up afterwards. He also stands behind his product and his prices are competitive. He does get the work done on time.

AWESOME! After the house and deck were powerwashed, it looked fabulous. The house looked new, the deck looked great and the fence looks new. They even power washed our wooden chairs. We are readying our home for sale and the curb appeal is great. The guys came out and cleaned up EVERYTHING each time they came. They did a great job! We would highly recommend Scot Christopher Rule Painting to anyone, and well worth the money

I first spoke with Kathleen, a lovely lady, who answered my questions. I had never hired a painter before and she filled me in on do's and don'ts. Wish I had spoken to her before I hired some other workers! Scot came and gave me the estimate. I was impressed with Scot and the professionalism of his staff. They did a wonderful job in both the kitchen and bathroom and cleaned up after themselves. They were finished in less than two days. I have already given Scot's card to three other friends with a very high recommendation. Scot and Kathleen also offer other services, which I will be using in the future.

Scot was here as promised, full crew 8:30 a.m. They worked the whole week finishing Friday afternoon at 5:00. Their work was beautifully done, cleanup each day was appreciated, all my antiques had drop cloths, the men moved so much furniture, took pictures off the walls and generally tried to keep the mess to a minimum. I felt their attitude was that they were here to make me happy with the work--especially apparent when I discovered I had given them the wrong paint chip number on my diningroom walls. Tried to like it for several days but in the end I knew it had to be redone. There was no complaint, they took it in stride and by the end of the next day the appropriate color was in place. Scot checked in daily for the most part to make sure the job was progressing as planned and to see if I had any requests. He also personally delivered the final bill and made certain I was completely satisfied with the whole job. I most certainly would recommend them to anyone. Hats off to Scott Christopher Rule!

The job took longer to finish than anticipated, and we did have a little back-and-forth over the hourly cost associated with the wallpaper removal. The fee for the wallpaper ended up being much more than I expected, based on the discussion we had before the project began. Other than that, everything went just fine. My advice is to do the wallpaper removal yourself instead of paying them and you'll save yourself some money and a lot of stress!

Fantastic. Outstanding company. Fair prices. Excellent, thorough prep work. Work done quickly and neatly. Crew was extremely careful in and around my home, ensuring protective covers on everything. I called and Scot was at my home to provide a quote within 2 days. Work started one week later and was done ahead of schedule. They provided a lot of extra care you don't see much of nowadays. Scot and his team are true professionals. Recommend without reservation.
