+ 0 moreThe work was terrific, and their expertise and professionalism earned them the electrical work on my pool. Mid State made the electrical permit process painless, dealing with the township so that I didn't have to. One of the things that most impressed me was their knowledge of their trade. I'm one of those people who like to watch and learn, and my electrician was patient and gracious enough to teach me a little. I came to find out that Mid State does a lot of commercial work, not just work for home owners. I know who I'm calling when I need another electrician.
Description of Work: Mid State Electrical installed kitchen lighting for me. I also had them do the electrical work on my pool. Mid State demonstrated they knew what they were doing with the first job, so I asked them how they would setup lights and pumps for the new pool I was installing. Their ideas were far better than the plans from the pool company, so I went with Mid State.

+ -1 moreJust moved into our home and the dining room layout didn't fit our furnishings. We only wanted our ceiling light to be moved 3 feet. We called two different electrical contractors for help. One never showed for his appointment the other came and quoted a price of $350.00 and told us we needed additional work to correct hazardous conditions, our new home is only 8 years old. I didn't understand why there were as he called "outdated materials" In a home this old. Lucky for us a friend told us about Midstate. I wouldn't have called them because I thought it was a small job and not worth his time of travel. Lucky for me I gave a call and got timely response and great service and a good price. As a senior it's nice to know that there are still young men that treat us with the resect of giving us an honest estimate.
Description of Work: I needed someone to move my dining room chandelier three feet.

Description of Work: They sent out two men to do change 3 lights bulbs in shower lights. Change 1 GFI outlet and reroute wire that was in the GFI. they charged me 500.00 for two men. I did not need 2 men for this job. I needed 1 man maybe 2 hours for 250.00 Called to complain about payment was treated like crap and told owner will call me. He did not. would not ever use this company again and by the way they use an answering service to hide any calls coming in. bad company stay away

Description of Work: Installed from the electrical box to the outside of the house an electrical connection for a generator hookup during a power outage. Job went well though it would have been nice to have the owner of the company to preform a final walk through inspection of work completed. Otherwise job went well and I would use this company again.

+ -1 moreDecember 16th they called and said they couldn't come because they had a fender bender. I asked them about coming out on Thursday or Friday, of the same week. It's now January and I have not heard from them since.
Description of Work: They scheduled an appointment with me for December 16, to check out my overhead fluorescent kitchen light, because the light kept burning out.

+ -1 moreIn and out in 15 minutes they were! Gentleman asked me a few questions about what i wanted, explained what he was doing and told me how to use the new product. Now- my lights are motion sensitive in the laundry room where we won't have to fiddle looking for the switch in the night.
Description of Work: True story. I wanted to change a light switch. Everyone does that right? When I unscrewed the switchplate- it sparked! I was afraid to go any further so I contacted Mid State Electric to ask what was wrong. I told Frank (owner) what had happened and once he confirmed all was safe after asking me a few questions, he asked when I would be available and sent someone over!! Will NEVER call another electrician again. He really was concerned for my safety. What a gem!

Description of Work: I lost electricity in one third of my basement and couldn't figure out why! I checked the panels, flipped everything on and off again, check all the GFI's but no luck.

+ -1 moreOf course the electric had to go out on a Friday night!! Tried two other companies from the phone book with no results. Finally tried Mid State Electrical Contracting. They were able to have someone at our house within an hour to perform a temporary fix and get us powered up again. The main breaker went bad and subsequently they had to get that specific breaker and come back to get everything fixed properly. The workers were very polite and well mannered (I was the one panicking!) and completed the work quickly and cleanly. Thanks guys!

Description of Work: The two man crew arrived promptly and worked efficiently and cleaned up so well you wouldn't even know they were here!! Replaced all the light fixtures I wanted- even removed a broken bulb! They worked very hard to make sure all that I wanted was done. The precision in centering my new kitchen pendants and lights were exact! Chris treated my home as if it were his and worked very hard to make things happen. Mid State Electrical Contracting Inc is my forever go to for electrical work! Thanks guys!! Gonna keep you on speed dial :)
