This small family owned business responded very quickly. Within days of receiving the down payment, they had a full crew on site. The damaged roof decking was unexpected, but they quickly contacted me, worked out the additional costs, and they did the extra work without any undue stopping. They cleaned up the property well after they were done and I was fully satisfied. I would hire them again.

rtyI found Dougherty roofing via word of mouth and Angies List...after calling several local and not so local roofers (only a few of which showed up) I decided to go with Dougherty...Mr. Dougherty arrived at our house with his son to give us an estimate ...It was quick and professional and they gave me an estimate on the spot..(other companies said they would call me back with an estimate but didn't)...They arrived in a timely fashion and completed the work quickly and cleaned up the job site when they were finished..my wife and i were Very pleased with the job they did and would recommend them ,,and will use them in the future for our roof in the back of the house

Mr. Dougherty and his son came out shortly after I contacted them. His son went up on the roof to examine it. There were 2 damaged areas, and the old shingles seemed to be crunching and crumbling as he walked on them. That's why I was surprised when he said they would put a new roof on top of these shingles; it didn't seem like a very sound foundation. When we discussed pricing he did not mention a permit. I asked about it and was told that I didn't really need one, and quot;unless you want to pay extra for thatand quot;. I've lived in my town for a long time and know that I do indeed need a permit. That was the second red flag for me. Although I promptly received an estimate, it was only about $600.00 less than the guy who is replacing the entire roof and getting a permit. I like to do things and quot;by the bookand quot;, and the shortcuts he suggested did not appeal to me.

The contractor returned my last call immediately, looked at the job and called back with repairs that were needed. He scheduled an appointment to discuss the work and provide references. The work was completed within three days of our last appointment.

They were very prompt and did a great job. They did an excellent job with the clean up as well.
