The first door which was an Andersen French door was installed completely incorrectly. He installed the door contrary to Andersen installation instruction and basic carpentry standards as well. At the request of Jerome I took a day off from work to show him how the door should be installed after his poor installation. After showing Jerome how the door swung open on its own and how the door was not plumb, level or square I asked him if he would accept this installation in his own home , his response was " No " . He reinstalled the door and still couldn't get it right and said he did his best but just could not get it right. The second door also had issues. As per Andersen installation instruction and basic home construction all exterior doors must be installed with flashing in the rough opening prior to installing the door. I gave a full roll of the necessary flashing to Jerome , he never installed it and installed the door in the rough opening with no flashing whatsoever behind it. This door was also installed crooked and he had to reinstall this one as well. I asked why he didn't install the flashing the second time around, he said it was too difficult to remove because he had put caulking under the base. Jerome seems to be a very nice man and does run a clean job but I find it hard to believe based upon the work completed in my home that he has the skills or experience to call himself a carpenter. Also , in his website he states that he is recommended by Anderson windows (I'm assuming he's referring to Andersen window co. even though it's misspelled on his website). After speaking with reps from Andersen and directly with the company they informed me that they have never heard of Jerome (if Jerome is in fact recommended please respond with a contact person). Jerome reduced the amount of the balance at the end of the job to compensate my lost day at work, I paid him exactly what he requested even though I was not nearly satisfied. He said he did the best he could. I have been in the construction industry for 30 years and could honestly say I have never seen such poor door installations. By his own admission Jerome said he would not accept this work in his own home. I understand he has a lot of good reviews, I can only guess that he usually uses subcontractors to correctly install doors. Jerome , you may rebut this review if you wish but it is 100% fact. After your response which in fact did not dispute any of the facts I have listed I would like to ask a question. I supplied you with the necessary 3M flashing which is required by common building practices , Building code and the manufacturer of the exterior door. My question is - Did you install it in the rough opening as required and why didn't you ? I'm getting three prices from local contractors to remove the door and flash the opening as required. I will follow up with you afterwards.
Description of Work: I hired Jerome ferullo to install one exterior French door and one exterior sliding door.

Nothing in this world is "Perfect" After 30 + years in the renovation industry you come to realize that sometimes you have to work within a "tolerance" or adapt to the existing conditions. I suggest the next time you hire someone to work in your home that you speak about your "expectations" up front and not at the end of the job. I came back to correct whatever I could, the best that I could and took $500 off my final payment. Anybody else would have been more than happy with my performance. I entered your job as a professional and I exited as a Gentlemen,

We could not be happier with the job that Jerome and Beautiful Bathrooms did for us on our bathroom remodeling project. We had worked with another contractor approximately 2 years ago to remodel our bathroom and it was a nightmare of poor quality supplies and workmanship. Jerome met with us, listed to our design ideas, offered suggestions and helped us design the bathroom of our dreams. He and his crew were prompt, professional and clean. He met all of the expected deadlines, used high quality parts and put us in touch with is group of preferred suppliers (granite, tile, etc.) who all worked with the same level of professionalism and quality of Jerome and Beautiful Bath. We found the cost to be commensurate with the quality of the work that was performed. I would (and have) recommended Jerome and Beautiful Bath to several of my friends and colleagues and will continue to do so. We are so happy with the job that was done we have begun to plan our next home improvement project and will definitely be using Jerome and his team.

aJerome and his crew gave us a fair estimate compared to the others we priced. He and his team were on time, professional, and left the bathroom (and our home) better than they found it. He said the project would take 3 days and it was done in 3 days. They could not have been nicer to my wife and young children. We have recommended him and will continue to recommend him to anyone we know who has any bathroom needs. Whenever I am in that bathroom I cannot help but to stop and admire the crown molding job.
Description of Work: A major bathroom renovation. We replaced the floors and counter. The Skylight above had to be filled in and crown molding was done all along the ceiling. We have crown molding in other areas of our house and it was by far the best crown molding I have ever seen. The care and attention to detail was unmatched.

Jerome has been doing work for us for about twenty years. The quality of his work is outstanding. He pays great attention to detail and our home is always clean when he is done. Several years ago we did a major renovation to our previous home. Jerome took out the back wall of our house, built an addition and gave us a fantastic custom kitchen. He also re-built the ground floor of our shore house after it was damaged by Hurricane Sandy.
Description of Work: We recently moved into a new home. Jerome modified the kitchen cabinet layout and replaced the countertops with quartz. He also installed new molding and trim after we replaced the floors.

I hired Beautiful Bathrooms and more to do a major renovation in my home. The work they did in the Kitchen and Bathroom was exquisite. Upon meeting Jerome, the owner of Beautiful Bathrooms and more, in regards to my project, I was assured all the work would be done neatly and in a timely manner. Everything I was promised Jerome delivered. Workmanship is top quality. I was looking for an affordable, honest, quality contractor, and now after the job is complete I can honestly say, Jerome was that contractor. I highly recommend his business, Beautiful Bathrooms and more.

Overall, I would say my husband and I are pleased with the end result of our guest bathroom. The bathroom looks beautiful, fresh, and clean. We had received three quotes for this bathroom and chose Jerome from Beautiful Bathrooms for a couple of reasons. The first was his contract and detailed quote. We felt it laid out all the details, to include the brand of the fixtures and color and this was important. I didn't want any vague details on the remodel. The second reason we chose Jerome was his description of being "meticulous." We maintain a very clean and organized home for the most part (we do have a 3 year old ... :) ) and in the past, I have had work done on previous homes where I spent a week cleaning after the contractor's left. Before I comment on the meticulous aspect, I would say one downside we found to the process is that Jerome did very little of the work. I think honesty is important in earning business and I would have appreciated this information from the get-go. It would NOT have affected my decision if he said his assistant would handle most of the work and given a reason, because Jerome was very responsive by phone any time I called or texted. Jerome arrived the day of demo and then the next time we saw him was the final day of the remodel. His assistant did most of the work in our bathroom. His assistant was very clean and did vacuum every day to ensure there weren't debris or dust everywhere. He was also great in reinstalling the door every day so our 3 year old wouldn't wander around in the new bathroom. I appreciated that and I also was very pleased that his assistant was ALWAYS on time and usually early. The tile work is contracted out and completed by Tiles Unlimited in Matawan. We were told Jerome "budgeted" $600 for tiles. Our guest bath is not very big and that seemed like an accurate amount, as we have done other bathroom remodels and were familiar with the costs. We went to Tiles Unlimited and started in the less expensive section. We found a tile we loved and once it was priced out, total cost was $1100 and this was not even in the expensive section. I was not pleased and probably would have saved a lot more going to Lowes. Regardless, it turned out beautifully. Jerome also contracts out the plumbing work. Plumber was very nice and worked quickly. We are happy with the services Beautiful Bathrooms performed overall. I can only say Jerome was not present for most of the remodel, but it's possible he has other larger jobs and needed to dedicate his time towards those. I just would have appreciated that insight from the beginning. But again, any time I had a comment or question, he was quick to respond with a phone call. I also feel that going to Tiles Unlimited cost us a lot more money, in addition to their labor charges, which was $1,000 to install all our tile. Again, the tile work turned out beautifully, but I was not pleased with the price of the tiles. I would definitely use Jerome and his team again and I think if you want quality work and details, you will be pleased if you hired him for any project. I just think I will be a little more proactive in finding my own materials for tile.
Description of Work: Renovated guest bathroom, to include all new tile, new bathtub, fixtures, new glass door. We had the vanity already.

The job went as intended. The layout of the timeline was not compromised at all. All stages of the job were done with a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail. Working with the owner, Jerome, from conception to completion was very reassuring. He walked us through the process so we were not surprised by anything. Of course, we made minor changes along the way, but they were integrated with ease. There was definitely a "no problem" attitude present with the whole crew and the sub contractors associated with our project. The town inspectors also commented on the attention to detail and quality of workmanship they observed. I highly recommend Beautiful Bathrooms & More.
Description of Work: The provider, Beautiful Bathrooms, totally remodeled and reconfigured my bathroom. Totally gutting the whole master bath. Redesigned the layout creating a larger shower and larger closet. All new fixtures and new tile floor, sheetrock, molding, paint. Everything was done to perfection.

This project began because we were interested in removing the wall that separated our kitchen, dining room and living room. We have been living in this house for 15 years and rarely used the formal dining room. Our kitchen was 25 years old and was in need of a face lift. We felt that the open concept would add much more value to our home both monetarily as well as for our own enjoyment. We contacted Jerome Ferullo, owner of Beautiful Bathrooms, because we have been working with Jerome on all of our renovations for at least 25 years. Jerome introduced us to a kitchen designer that helped to create the layout of the kitchen. Jerome did all the demolition of the kitchen and dining room. This included removal of a tile floor that was laid down on top of 1 ½ inches of cement. We live in a bi-level house, which had a wood-burning fireplace in our downstairs family room with a chimney that came up through the dining room. We instructed Jerome to remove the fireplace so that we could achieve the open concept we desired. However, when he started to remove the dual sided fireplace that sat in the middle of the family room, he discovered that the framing was structural, so it would need to be removed and replaced with a gas fireplace. Anyone who owns a home and has done renovations in the past knows that you have to be prepared for surprises and one change can create more changes than anticipated. Jerome contracted with all the subcontractors we needed (plumbers, electricians and granite and tile installers). He also introduced us to a flooring specialist who helped us find the hardwood floor we wanted. We already had hardwood floors in our dining room and living room, but we wanted to replace them with flooring that was more contemporary (wider boards) and that would flow into the kitchen. Jerome and his team prepared the floor for the installation of the new floor (removal of old floor and repairs), installed all the cabinets and appliances, built a broom closet, and installed the new fireplace (after the plumber ran the gas line). We were responsible for selecting all the appliances, hardware and lighting. A project of this size is not without problems and my husband and I can be very demanding. We are perfectionists and demand the same of others. One of the reasons we like working with Jerome is that he listens to your concerns and makes every effort to please his customers. He is trust worthy, and responsive. I received phone calls from Jerome at the end of most days providing me with an update on progress and status. When I arrived home if I still had questions, I would call Jerome on my way into the office to address my questions. He was always available for my calls. The remodel was a 4 month project. There were delays due to changes we made and waiting for parts or inspections. We lived in the house for all but 2 weeks of the project and Jerome and his team cleaned up at the end of each day. We highly recommend Jerome Ferullo for any remodeling project. He is a true professional.

The Beautiful Bathrooms team did an overall excellent job with our bathroom. We had an old original shower area that was ugly and dated. Jerome came over to take a look and within 1 day we received a concise quote detailing itemized items for both materials and labor. Jerome understood that we were working within a budget and gave us several options which factored in grade of materials to be used including tiles, bathroom fixtures, and type of shower floor ie. pan versus tile floor. Jerome provided us with a list of his preferred vendors/suppliers for ordering the bathroom materials. This was very helpful, as were able to save money on the specific materials that we eventually decided to go with. Jerome has instructed us to contact him as soon as all of the materials arrived at out home. His team (which included carpentry. plumbing and electricians) were very professional and always on time. The bathroom area was completed in less 1 week. We are very happy with our new bathroom. The type of porcelain tile and border design that we went with gives our new bathroom a very cool "Romanesque" type of feel and look. So happy with it. I highly recommend using Beautiful Bathrooms for all of your future bathroom designs and remodeling projects.

When we first met Jerome, he seemed organized, knowledgable, and skilled. Soon I realized this was not the case. Aside from the fact that he never spelled my name correctly in any of the email correspondence and on the "contract", such as "my name", the fact that the content (body) of the proposal was never changed, only the heading from the 1-page 'proposal' to 'contract', should have been the second or biggest red flag indicating his attention to detail and character in his work. But, we gave him the benefit of the doubt and decided to hire him based on his website and proposal the first time we met. Starting from day 1 I had an instinctively terrible feeling about the remodel. I also discovered that when Jerome mentioned he and two of his men would attend for the demolishing of the bathroom, he meant that his men would do the actual work, while he supervised for an hour or so to guide his men what needs to be done. Additionally, we also discovered that Jerome (as a General Contractor) don't actually dedicate any work or skills to the jobs himself, but have his sub-contractors do 90% of the work for him. This would have been acceptable if he had disclosed and helped us understand the model of his business and what he will and will not be doing. But clearly, this was something he failed to do. Within a few hours, the agreement cost of the remodel went up due to the discovery of plaster behind our walls. At this point, I had no experience or knowledge of plaster removal and the terms & conditions of hiring an 8x12 trash container, but I was informed by a family friend who is also in the business that containers have an allocation of weight based on the size of containers. First of all, the discovery of plaster should and could have been done/removed on the same day/Day 1 of demo, instead his workers left around 3pm and decided to return the next day, hence costing us another demo day, which proved my suspected time frame the next day. Second of all, the extra couple of hundred dollars for the "additional" weight put on the disposal container should have been nothing for him, given that all of his charges are mainly labor, as we had to purchase all fixtures, vanities, finishes, etc .. ourselves. Nonetheless, after addressing some concerns, I decided not to be bothered with an additional demo day just to remove plaster, and the added weight the plaster will bring to the container. (Note: the only fixtures included in his cost is a basic toilet & basic bath tub (I didn't approve nor like) and shower fixture) For the amount of work and hours spent on supervising the project, including the countless times Jerome asked us to double check measurements and perform work that he failed to do/remember the day he was on-site or when his sub-contractors were here, is not worth the amount he charges for his projects. Not only Jerome takes on too many projects at a time, spreading his time and work thin on individual projects, he also does not manage his time and the projects to the satisfactory that is should be. Suffice to say, there was a lot of work I had to complete once he left my project; such as painting, repairing grout work Jerome stained with silicone, and complete light installation. And being 7-8 months pregnant at the time, it was not a pleasant task. At the end of the day, for the amount we paid, should I have known the partially complete outcome and work we had to put in, we would have spent the extra few dollars with an actual trustworthy & proven business. After this experience, I will be more diligent and research with how different businesses proceed with my projects and who can deliver the outcomes, as consumers, we desire.

As the saying goes "there are two sides to every story" I have been in business for 30 years and plan on being around for quite a while longer. My reputation means everything to me. I am known for going the extra mile to please my customers. Feel free to review many references on my web-site. I am a certified CPR contractor: Clean, Professional, & Reliable! Thank you.
The job went very well. We are very satisfied with the results (quality and how it all looks). We are not on a main street, but we have many people who drive by our house on the weekends and stop to take pictures. We stayed in budget and on-time. Jerome is extremely professional and really listens to the needs of his customers. He has a great work ethic and attention to detail. He is very reliable and trustworthy. He will treat your house as if it were his own. This is why we are asking Jerome to renovate our kitchen/dining room in 2014.
Description of Work: Jerome has completed many different projects for us over the last 25 years. The last project was in 2009 when he installed vinyl siding, and stone work on the front of our house. He also replaced windows, doors and built our three-tiered deck in our back year.

We had five feet of water on the ground floor. I've used this company for over 20 years. I just call them and tell them what I need and they take care of it. They are true craftsmen and the work is impeccable. I trust them completely and have no problem with the work being done when I'm not there. Largest job they've done for me is a six-figure kitchen renovation with incredible results.
Description of Work: Repaired all damage from Hurricane Sandy. New sheetrock, insulation, mold remediation, new HVAC, hot water heater, new bathroom, etc.
