Arthur and his crew built two porches for us, front & side both came out beautifully. Arthur kept in touch every day. The craftsmanship was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Arthur.

He was very patient and informative and knowledgeable.  He wasn't trying to push anything financially on us. He was just trying to help us move forward with our project.

First of all, we were enormously satisfied with Arthur Hubert as a person and as a contractor. If he is available, grab him!  This man knows construction!  He is one of the nicest people you could meet, was constantly in touch with us at a moment's notice,and sent us extremely competent people to do each portion of the work.  Even our insurance company'sgruff adjuster volunteered that he had done a really good job! When a second leak started from another source, Arthur left his father on his dad's birthday and drove out to see what needed to be done.  When the sheetrock was removed, exposing  the main water pipes and valves behind the walls, Arthur immediately warned us that they were rusted to the point that they could cause a tremendous flood, and got the condo association to send a plumber down the next day, at the condo association's own cost, to replace ours and our upstairs neighbors pipes and valves. Arthur also dealt with the insurance adjusters, getting us the most we could from our insurance companies. A first class experience all the way!

Our deck railing was severely damaged from fallen tree limbs during a major windstorm.  We called in Arthur Hubert Construction and tw0 other contractors for bids.  Arthur was able to restore the deck and also suggested some safety improvements to the steps leading from our porch to the deck.  He also pointed out some structural problems with the foundations that needed shoring up.  He quoted this additional work and was able to complete everything within the time and amounts specified.  
We also used Arthur for a complete Bathroom renovation.  He scoped out the project, suggested a few dealers for the fixtures and tiling, and personally followed up with the dealers we chose.  His plumbing and tiling people always showed up on time, and were very professional and courteous and always cleaned up at the end of the day.  We were very pleased with the end result and everything was done within our budget.
 Arthur was always available to meet with us and would return phone calls and emails promptly.  We highly recommend A. Hubert Construction as one of the most professional and quality contractors in the area.

This was a huge job done over fall 2013 and winter of 2014. I liked Arthur Hubert immediately and my trust was definitely rewarded. Arthur was incredibly straightforward throughout the process. The job took nearly six months to complete but all the work was done to our satisfaction whether done by Hubert construction or their hand picked sub-contractors who were all first rate.Arthur was on top all of the stages of work to make sure my wife and I were satisfied. Once completed they left my home spotless. We will use them again in the future.

The quality of the work that he and his team performed was outstanding.  Arthur is all about making the client happy and he delivered on that promise with our project.  We had a few bumps along the way primarily with the Bathroom fixture suppliers that we used, but Arthur was with us every step of the way to smooth out the wrinkles. Arthur is a consummate professional.  His communication skills are outstanding and he was always on top of the work being performed on the job.  The tile work that we wanted done was intricate and complex and was executed to perfection.  Arthur installed crown molding for us as well and he ensured that the corner cuts were a perfect fit.  He actually used the coping saw himself to do the job.

We highly recommend Arthur Hubert for any of your
construction needs.  We found Hubert Construction on Angie's List in the
fall of 2013.  All of the positive reviews do not do Arthur Hubert
justice:  He is better than the reviews.  Arthur is overly-accommodating
in trying to meet his customers' needs.  He takes his client's visions and
tries to make them reality.  The word PROFESSIONAL truly applies to Arthur
Hubert.
We hired Arthur over the winter of 2013 to remodel
our home.  We wanted to add a master bedroom addition, redo our kitchen
and bathrooms, and do some remodeling around our home.  Arthur was
instrumental in creating the design of the remodel.  He and his team of architects and engineers
put together the architectural sealed plans and was ready to submit the
permits.  He revised the plans with the architect to make our dream home a
reality.  Arthur worked on the proposal including providing us with the
estimates from the electrician, plumber, framer, mason, HVAC, etc.
Arthur's enthusiasm is unparalleled.  He is
not only focused on the job at hand, but he truly enjoys his work and wanting
to fulfill his clients' dreams.  If there was something that might not
work, he would go out of his way to make it work.  Arthur would make
suggestions and give us ideas that we did not think were possible.
During this entire process, we were applying for a
federal construction loan.  The loan process involved drawing-up a
proposal from beginning to end.  It needed to be broken-down by the dollar
for practically every nail and screw.  The application process was far
more complex and intricate than we ever imagined and Arthur had to restructure
the proposal several times to try and make it work.  The loan process was
very frustrating, but Arthur was always there for us to try and make things
work.
Unfortunately, we did not get the loan. However, this was not a
reflection on Arthur, but our home assessment came back much lower than we had
hoped.  Despite our financial set backs, Arthur still offered to work with
us to try and remodel our home.  After working with Arthur for the past
several months, I can truly say that he is not only dedicated to his craft and
his clients, but he goes above and beyond what can be expected.  I would
definitely recommend Arthur Hubert for your home remodel needs.  

He’s great, the way he works with us is fantastic. He's very informative and extremely personable.  He's up front with prices or an average of costs. We've been so happy with the work he's done and he's done so much for us already.  Both himself & the crew always clean up their area.  He's always been on time and his crew has always been on time too.

We planned to remodel our bathrooms but had never hired a contractor before so we signed with Angie's List.   We checked out a few contractors, listened to what they had to offer and selected Hubert Construction, owned and operated by Arthur Hubert.   Judging from the end results, we knew we had made the right choice.

We made an appointment with Arthur for 6:00PM on a Thursday evening in late November and at 6:00PM, he pulled  into our driveway.   Arthur presented himself in a friendly and professional manner, fully explaining what needed to be done, how it would be done and the timeframe needed to get the job done.  After giving us an estimate, he also made us fully aware of the remote possibility of extra charges depending upon what, if anything, was found behind the sheet rock such as mold, water damage, etc. saying he would work with us on a fair price.   He even suggested some suppliers to check out where we would get the proper assistance in choosing the right fixtures and tile we would need to complete the renovations.   By the time he left that evening, we were so impressed with him that we decided to hire him immediately, with no reservations.
One month later, the work began.   When we met Arthur's foreman (Rich) for the first time, we were so completely at ease with him, we gave him the keys to our house so they could have free access to to their work if we were not there.   Through the entire remodeling, not only did all of the workers conduct themselves in a friendly, respectful and professional manner at all times, they came on time, cleaned up thoroughly every day, operated as a team making sure that everything ran smoothly, were hardworking and trustworthy, didn't leave until the day's work was done and displayed high quality craftsmanship.  Arthur was hands on throughout, calling a few times a day to see how everything was going and/or coming to our house to see the progress.  Eleven days later, the job was completed as per his original schedule and estimate.  Again, our thanks to Arthur, Rich, Bryan, Doug, Tony and the rest of the team for a job well done.

Art was very good to deal with. He was able to direct me to several suppliers to help me find what I needed for the project. Both his sub-contractors (electrical, painting and plumbing) and his crew (building, tiling, etc) were very excellent, respectful and professional. Art was always responsive and gave options to make sure I got what I wanted. I'm very happy with the end result.

Arthur did an excellent job on replacing our deck. He was very professional and informative about the whole process from picking out the materials for the decking from different woods and composite decks and different options for fasteners. We felt comfortable with Art from the first day. We ordered the wrong size wood for the deck and couldn't exchange it for the right size but Arthur came up with great ideas and made it work. I would definitely use him again and will recommend him to other people. Through the whole process Art just wanted to make sure we were happy with the job and we are.

I can't say enough about how we were treated by Arthur and his staff.  When they started working, they continued until the work was done.  Arthur would usually get in touch with us during the day to let us know how everything was going and when he expected to be there.  Even when he was not actually doing the work himself, he would show up at our house to check in with his staff, see how things were going and make sure to answer any questions that we may have had.  He promptly answered all our phone calls and always had time to talk about any concerns that we may have had.  All of the workmanship was professionally done and the finished product is beyond our expectations.  We would highly recommend Hubert Construction and will continue to use their services for other projects that may arise in our home.

I called Hubert Construction because of his ratings in addition to  several other contractors.  Mr. Hubert responded immediately to my email (Friday two weeks ago) saying that he could meet with me Sunday or one  day that week to discuss my kitchen remodel.  I responded that I could do Sunday and a couple of the other days in that week.  I heard back
from him Sunday afternoon when he said that he would be in my area later in the week and would call at the beginning of the week to let me know when.  I didn't hear back from him until today where he told me that
several issue arose that prevented him from coming to my area.  Mr. Hubert didn't offer me the courtesy of a quick call to let me know there was a problem.  I would have been flexible in making a different appointment.  Given that he was relatively unresponsive, I don't feel confident in using his services for my project.

I spoke with Arthur to set up the initial appointment and he was very nice and professional. He could not give me a firm time for our appointment but assured me he would call me if it was going to be aft 7 pm because 8 have a baby's who would've going to bed at tat time, We waited all evening for him, be never called and never showed. We were very disappointed.

This whole project couldn't have gone better from start to finish, my husband and I were very lucky to find a contractor like Art who was not only very knowledgeable and professional, but also such a caring, great guy.  He was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive option that we had to choose from when we were trying to find a contractor, but he was by far the best of the best.  From the beginning, Art worked with us to ensure that everything would stay within our budget, referring us to a variety of bathroom showrooms and tile companies - complete with contacts at each one.  Thanks to him, we were able to find high quality materials that fit within our aesthetics and our budget.  Once everything was ordered, we got a call from Art letting us know that he was able to move our project up a few weeks if we wanted to get started on it (which he knew we did, due to the fact that the only things keeping us from flooding our downstairs neighbors condo were a few tupperware container that had to be continuously emptied)!  Art and his crew came in and immediately went to work.  Everyone involved in the project kept myself and my husband up to speed with the goings on and even took the time to explain why they were doing certain things and any additional issues that were found.  For each issue or roadblock, they gave us a series of fixes, providing us with all the information we needed to make informed decisions, there were no surprises.  Even though Art was the contractor and other crew members completing much of the work in the bathroom, he made sure to stop by frequently throughout the project to check in on us and the progress being made.  My husband and I are both perfectionists and were nervous about asking an outsider to complete a project in our home seeing as we have a very critical eye, but luckily Art and his crew are also perfectionists and we could find nary a complaint about what they were able to complete.  We even through in a couple of additional requests as the project was being completed (adding in a paint job and hanging some shelves in the bathroom as well) and it was all received without hesitation and without adding an exorbitant amount of additional timing being added to the project (we went an additional day over the schedule but that was due to a mixup of something my husband had purchased and the additional time for the paint job to be completely dried.

Once we finally got ordering done and a schedule set, it went smoothly. Work was done professionally. Little extras were thrown in. Other work was recommended, like replacing the doors in the hall, which I was going to do eventually anyway, and had them do.
When they started my house looked like it had had been lived in for 50 years by a family (35 was us). When they were finished, my husband said it was "too nice for us". What a difference. Rich is a genius, with tile work, especially. And the work crew was wonderful. They even worked without complaint around a huge pile of topsoil in my driveway that was part of another project.
Everyone who has seen the house since they finished, and even before, have been impressed and admire the workmanship. I have to add even the boys in the work crew, who hadn't seen the kitchen since before tile work was done, were impressed with the design and workmanship.
I am definitely calling them in again to do work. Thanks a ton, Art. Well worth the money.

Hubert construction did provide us with an estimate for renovation after
damage by hurricane Sandy but we used another contractor. His estimates
were significantly greater than estimates from two other contractors.

Prior to hiring Arthur Hubert Construction, I interviewed 4 other general contractors. Arthur stood out above the rest because of his vision and obvious excitement about every project he takes on. He made me feel that my job was the most important thing he ever tackled. Every step of the way, he had a resolution to every design issue that came up and was very creative with my budet to ensure he could provide me with everything I wanted done. He even gave me two bonuses--an updated sunroom and a new roofline.
Arthur always made himself available to speak to me about any new ideas I came up with and any concerns I had. He also called me often with questions he had to ensure we were both "on the same page".  Art always returned my calls promptly.  
If you are looking for a bargain basement contractor, Arthur's team is not for you, but If you want a high quality visionary and designer, Art should be your choice! I recommend him highly for any project you might have-no matter what size. I think that it is obvious that I would hire him again and again and again!

Arthur has a ton on integrity and really cares about doing the right thing. Even though I needed to put my project on hold due to my own personal circumstances, Arthur still spent a lot of time giving me advice and information.  I don't know too many people that would do that solely out of the goodness of their heart, but Arthur is one of them.  Kudos to Arthur for going above and beyond what was expected.

On January 14th I made an apointment for an estimate at 10-12 on that Sunday. When Sunday came around there was no word from him and he didn't show up. I sent an email to him at 12:01 wondering why he hadn't come and that I was very dissatisfied, when I said I would write about this on Angie's List he called back immediately to apologize but I was done with them at this point.

I called Art to get an estimate for a project we were planning (opening a load bearing wall and adding french doors). Not only did Art call me back within the hour I left him a message (two others never called me at all), but he was extremely pleasant to talk to on the phone, understanding what I was looking for and able to schedule an immediate appointment for an estimate. My husband, who met with him, was extremely impressed by his knowledge and professionalism and we were provided a written quote very quickly. When I called him to clarify the details of the quote, he was happy to explain everything to me very thoroughly and explain everything. Unfortunately, his price was higher than we could afford but I whole heartedly recommend him to anyone - he seems like a consummate professional.
