+ -1 moreOwner Frank O'Brien and his crew saved the day for us. Living in an old house meant we had to choose to have ducts installed or try the ductless systems. When it needed repair Frank spent time getting to the bottom the problem, rather than other vendors who just wanted us to purchase another system. He and his workers were professional, honest, knowledgeable and hard working. The price was fair and reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend A-1 Comfort Care.

+ -1 moreExcellent. We signed a service contract with them for the next year. They were helpful and efficient, plus they understand the vagaries of dealing with rental property tenants.
Description of Work: Service was required on a rental duplex. Tenants had frozenthe bottom floor A/C condenser. Comfort Care promptly provided advice over the phone to unfreeze the A/C and arrived at the appointed hour and replaced the interior thermostat (for a locked thermostat to prevent tenants from refreezing the A/C line). Since the rental property is at the beach, they also cleaned and serviced both A/C condenser units (top and bottom floors) and made several minor repairs.

+ -1 moreIt is a specific system called a geo-thermal heat pump system and it is difficult to get someone who can do work on it. They are very efficient in the work they do and really just do the work well. They have a difficult scheduling system.
Description of Work: They came and checked and found that our system that it was low on freon so they fixed that then came back a year and a half later to check it again and noticed that we needed a new coil and replaced it for for us.

+ -1 moreThey are sure not cheap and I did notice that the feedback on Angie's List was not that great about them. Now, in my case, they have been pretty good to me over the years. I don't really know if I will continue to use them though. In general, I would say they are an average company I guess.
Description of Work: They cleaned my heating and air conditioning units recently. I have a yearly contract with them that covers several cleaning and checkups throughout the course of each year.
