BUYER BEWARE! On 1/3/20 I returned from a 2 day trip to find a bag of leaves on my lawn, a tag on the door and a broken lamp hanging from the front of my home. One of my three (9"x 13"x 8") brass, bevel glass lanterns was hit and heavily damaged by some object coming down from above. It is not minor damage with bent metal brass parts along with the face plate and enough force to pull it off the wall. It could not have been done without knowledge. I called Ned Stevens and sent photos the next day with a promise from them of a response. After a week without hearing back I emailed them again on their website. Within minutes I got a call from a manager. He first tried to minimize the obvious major damage shown on the photos then he explained that he talked to his "guys", who are very truthful, and they denied doing any damage. He didn't call me a liar when I challenged him but he had no other explanation. He then tried to buy me off for $37.50 which was further insulting. I refused and would not counter with an offer, not without accoutability. I wanted some honesty, an apology, and some integrity from the company I hired. What I got was denial, dishonesty, betrayal of trust and a broken lamp. I paid Ned Stevens, in full, on 1/13/20 with a bad taste in my mouth but a valuable lesson learned.

After assuring me on the phone that they would clean our gutters by hand (I knew from experience that using leaf blowers makes a mess), they did it standing on the roof using leaf blowers, which splattered dirty water from the gutters all over the siding and windows. They left without cleaning it. The house was a total mess. After I called to complain, they returned to clean the windows, but didn't do all of them, and the siding was still filthy. In addition, they told me that one of my downspouts was clogged and that for $195 they would return to unclog it. When I tested it myself with a hose, it drained normally. Shane, the CEO of Ned Stevens called me after reading my review and seemed genuinelyupset and apologetic. He offered to refund half the price I paid. Based on this conversation, I would upgrade my professionalism grade to A.
