They were 1-1/2 hours late for the initial installation. The job was done so poorly that I may as well not have had a storm door installed. The cold air still came through. I called Home Depot to complain and they contacted Mac Window Systems to correct the problem. Unfortunately, Mac Window Systems sends the same person who did the initial inferior job to correct the problem.. His fix didn't do a thing to correct the problem.
Description of Work: They are Home Depot's sub-contractor for the installation for storm doors.

Absolutely the worst in the business I have ever dealt with. They were the exclusive door installer for Home Depot in Hackettstown NJ. My special order door came in as scheduled with Home Depot. Mac Window took 3 weeks to call me for an instalAbsolutely the worst in the business I have ever dealt with. They were the exclusive door installer for Home Depot in Hackettstown NJ. My special order door came in as scheduled with Home Depot. Mac Window took 3 weeks to call me for an install date. They did not have openings for 8 weeks when they called. So we scheduled and waited. I took a day off for the install date and at 830am they called and said the installer (which we waited for 8 weeks) had an emergency and would not make it. They did not have anyone else available nor did they have a time or date to re-schedule. They said they would call back in a few minutes to re-schedule. Minutes turned to hours and I called back and they told me to be patient and someone would call me back by the end of the day. 3 days later I called for a status again as we were nearing the 3 month anniversary since we ordered our door. When I called they put me on hold and kept picking up and renewing my hold status for 20 minutes. So I called and asked for a receptionist instead of the scheduling department (which is the root of all their problems with rude and uncaring representatives), and I was told that they are no longer installers for Home Depot. Surprise! So I called Home Depot and they said they would pick up my door since it seems that Mac Window Systems would cancel their installs on many customers and they basically took away the account from them due to poor customer service. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY unless you want grief. If there was a zero star rating I would give them 0 stars. Bad customer service, rude representatives, I'd be surprised if they are still in business in 2015 It is a shame they stole the trademarked MAC name from Apple, because they are the opposite of the service you receive from Apple.
Description of Work: Cancelled appointments on installation no call backs no rescheduling rude people on the phone leave you on hold for hours. All we wanted was a storm door installed as they were the installer for Home Depot

I scheduled an appointment for Friday, August 23rd between 2-5 pm to adjust a storm door that they installed several weeks earlier that was not closing properly. I took the afternoon off and waited. At 4 pm on Friday I called to ask when he was coming. I was told he was running a little late and would be there at 5:30. At 5:50 he still did not come so I called the office. There was no answer as the office closes at 5 pm. He never showed up and never called. I called Saturday morning and was told there was a mix up and he would call me in the morning. No explanation as to why I was never called on Friday. At 1 pm I called again since I never received the phone call. There was no answer. I called 3 more times and still no answer. At around 6 pm Saturday the installer called and said he could come Sunday morning - no explanation as to why he did not call or show up on Friday. He did come Sunday morning to adjust the door, but I had wasted all afternoon Friday waiting. Horrendous customer service!

I made the mistake of buying two different doors through Home Depot. While the store reps wer u could hope for in a company representative, when the ball was passed to Mac...everything went south. 1. Scheduling. Not sure about most other people, but I work a job where I can't easily take the day off. Is that a concern to Mac? Of course not! Mac waited until the day of the install - when I'd already taken a day off work - to let me know that they wouldn't be coming due to weather (it was slightly rainy). While I appreciate that you can't necessarily predict the weather, some sort of advance warning that the job MIGHT be cancelled due to weather would have been appreciated. 2. Contractor. After rescheduling the job and waiting almost another week, I received a call from the Contractor to let me know that he no longer works with Mac. Apparently they haven't been paying him for his work. He apologized profusely for the inconvenience and said that he was just as frustrated. I asked him what I should do about my door and he told me to call Mac as well as the Home Depot. 3. Follow-up. When I called Home Depot the rep I spoke with sounded disgusted (but all too familiar) with Mac - it was clear this kind of nonsense had gone on before and that they've received multiple complaints. They advised that they would look into the situation. This morning I received a call from Mac to "reschedule", yet again. When I explained what happened and asked if they could provide some sort of guarantee that the work would actually get done this time, they actually laughed and said, "Yeah. Well we'll come out NEXT Tuesday." Oh really? So I should take off another day from work to accommodate Mac? I offered to additional days and was told, "Yeah, that's not going to work - it's supposed to rain." Bottom line: this is a ridiculously unprofessional company. It sounds like they treat their contractors like crap and the end customer (both theirs and Home Depot's) much worse. Do yourself a favor: if you have to buy your door, windows, etc. at Home Depot, go right ahead - you'll get great service. But skip the install, or at least confirm that it is NOT Mac. You'll be saving yourself a lot of time, effort and money.
Description of Work: Mac is Home Depot's sub-contractor. When you have a door or windows installed through Home Depot, they farm it out to Mac.

We were approved for a 203k FHA loan (Restoration Loan) through Wells Fargo and had to hire a contractor to do the work. We did our research and decided to use a reputable company like Home Depot to do the job. This was the worst mistake ever. They sub-contracted this job to a company called MAC Window Systems, LLC in Fairfield, NJ. A 45K job Gone completely Wrong.....This Company's business is horrible!!!!! They started work and did not finish. They lied and cheated us out of money. They made broken promises. They were not at all punctual. They did a sloppy job on the work that was done. We still do not have a functioning kitchen since December and have to spend extra money on fast food. Did I mention that they were LIARS!! WATCH OUT OR RICH GIBBS!!!!! He is a horrible owner, employee, worker and businessman, if that's what he really is. It's is very sad that he actually has a career. He may know how to hammer a DUMB nail, but running a business and customer satisfaction is far from his intellect. He gives this company a Very Bad Name. Home Depot needs to cancel the agreement they have with these guys!! I WILL NEVER USE EITHER OF THEM AGAIN!!! WATCH OUT FOR RICH GIBBS, he's a liar and a cheat!!! RUN when you see them...Trust me!!! Someone, please put this company out of business!!! If you won't I will...I will also make sure the everyone hears about this Mistake of a company; BBB, Facebook, Angie's List, FOX 5, MY 9 ect...Stay Tuned!! Justice Must Be Served!!!
