Went well. They were communicative - called throughout the day to inform of arrival time. They did as promised with not hitches.

They showed up on time at 10 am, had every packed up by 11:45, they grabbed a quick bite to eat and had everything delivered and un packed by 1:45 pm. The three drivers were very friendly and knowledgeable, my only issues was the price at the end. When the reprehensive came to my house to give me a quote he said minimum charge 5 hours plus 1/2 hour travel time. I agreed to this knowing I would be well under; even though they and others run cheaper adds on Angie's list. When I got me bill it was for 6 hours plus a 1/2 hour travel time. I was surprised, the driver told me he was told to charge me the 6 1/2 hours, even though they knew I had only used 3 hours and 45 minutes. I had to call up to dispute the bill while the driver was here, and they did change it back to 5 hours and 1/2 hour drive time, which is what I agreed to. I took the reviews and did not shop around and that was a mistake.

It went great from the initial consultation to the completion of the project. Would recommend to anyone.

We used First Class Movers for a move for 4 bedroom home using a 26 ft truck. Curtis provided a prompt estimates and was very responsive. We had a 4 man crew who worked from 8am to 5pm. Everything went smoothly. The price is a bit higher but is worth the peace of mind using a reputable company with hardworking and careful crew doing the move.

First Class Movers did a great job with our move. The crew of 4 men showed up on time, took a quick look around the house, and got immediately to work. They guys were fast, professional, and friendly. The owner called me a few days later to see how the move went, and at that time he informed me that the foreman had made a mistake when writing up my invoice - he had forgotten to credit me for the Angie's List deal I had purchased ahead of time. So, the owner told me he would be sending me a refund check in the mail. I had not even caught the error. In a world full of moving company horror stories, that kind of integrity and honesty is welcome and appreciated. This was our first time using a moving company and I would not hesitate to use First Class Movers again. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a moving company.

I bought the $299 deal for 3 men for 3 hours and they explained it would be $135/hr extra for each hour after the 3 hours. The representative wrote an estimate that the move would take 5 hours; I asked him if this included the 3 hours I already paid for with the $299 deal, and he said yes. He said to call the police dept. to clear a 100 foot space in front of the building for the truck. He also said to get a friend to watch the truck so the move would go faster. I called the police dept in Queens and NY, but they said there was no such thing as clearing a space on the street for a moving truck. I called the representative of the moving company and explained the problem; I even offered to put out cones to reserve parking for the truck ahead of time. He said not to worry, that he would take care of it. I got a friend to watch the truck so all 3 men could work on the move. The movers arrived relatively on time, but even though I brought a friend to watch the truck, one guy still spent all his time in the truck. After while, my friend came in from outside, saying they were not needed. About an hour into the move, I went out to the truck to see what the 3rd guy was doing, and found him asleep in the truck, with the truck door wide open with no one guarding my stuff!!! I sent my friend back out to watch the truck, but found that extremely unprofessional. They also took 20 minute breaks often, chatting away with us in between trips. I asked them to please resume working, but the head of the crew said not to worry, that I wouldn't be charged for the breaks. The head of the crew then informed me that they got a parking ticket! I asked him why Curtis, the representative, had said he would take care of the parking arrangements. He had no answer. I wondered why they didn't let me put out cones to reserve a spot. When it was all done, they wound up charging me for all their breaks, as well as the parking ticket. So the move of a large studio's worth of boxes and furniture was now an $800 job. I called the owner, Mike, to say this job was way over quote because the movers took so many breaks and that Curtis said he would take care of the street parking with the police, so I shouldn't be charged the ticket . Mike just argued rudely with me. These guys aren't trustworthy regarding pricing. They got the job done and didn't flake on me, which was good. However, I found them a bit dishonest.

It went very smoothly. Work was done in an excellent, professional manner. I would highly suggest this company again.

It went very well. They cam in advance to our place and provided a written estimate (as required by NJ law). The estimate detailed the per-hour rate. They told us that if we were able to move some stuff ourselves that would reduce the time the move would take and therefore the cost (there is a 5 hour minimum). We did a lot in advance, and our move only took 5 hours, instead of the 9 estimated. And, we only had to pay for 5 hours. The men were motivated and worked quickly (it likely helps that the company pays them for 8 hrs minimum). It was a great experience and I highly recommend First Class Movers. Great experience.

They did good. Everything arrived undamaged. There were four workers who completed the job in about six hours. The worker was good about itemizing everything and they were honest.

It couldn't have gone any better then it did. From the original estimate from Curtiss Silver to the first knock on the door on moving day. The men where polite, neat, respectful and most of all treated our belongings and family with care on such a stressful day. I would recommend them to anyone moving. Also the quote that we were given came within $40.00 of the original.

The service was excellent. Curtis came to do the estimate and was extremely informative and transparent. Victor and his team showed up on the day of the move on time and handled our furniture with care. They were courteous and efficient and wrapped up the move quickly. We'd use them again and would certainly recommend them to others!

It went great. They were professional, friendly, quick, hardworking, courteous and patient. When we had to wait about a half hour for my daughter to complete the registration process, the crew waited patiently. When it was time to work, the crew worked. I will definitely use them again.

The team was very responsive in all facets of their service. Curtis returned my call promptly and met me a few days later to provide a quote. This was done promptly and at a good price so we decided to use First Class. Our move was originally scheduled for late July but due to closing delays could not be done until immediately after we returned from vacation in early August. They accommodated the schedule changes without hesitation or complaint and also brought a team in to assist packing on the Sunday after we returned from vacation. The load out was done over two days due to the amount of furniture and possessions. The moving team lead by Carlos was professional, polite and a pleasure to work with. The move into our new home occurred this past weekend and the team was lead by Carlos on the first day and his cousin Victor on the second day. The team was many of the same workers that assisted on our move out. We had just had our hardwood floors done and they had to pay particular attention not to slide anything since the floors were not fully cured. In two days of moving, not a single mark was noticed on the floors. They even assisted with putting felt pads on the legs of each piece of furniture to help protect the finish on the floors! The move went flawlessly, items were assembled properly with no lost parts, all the contents were placed where we requested. The actual cost of the move was slightly higher than the estimated quote due to our request for additional packing and additional storage time. If we had moved when originally scheduled, the actual charges would have been below their estimated quote. I can't say enough about what a nice group of guys we had working on the move. There is nothing quite as stressful as entrusting all of your personal belongings to someone and First Class did a fantastic job. We would not hesitate to use them again and will recommend them to anyone that needs a moving company.

Great experience with First Class Movers. Their rep was friendly and on time for our scheduled meeting. The estimate was very competitive, and they had a ton of great reviews here on Angie's. I can see why. We set our move for two days, since we were moving out of a condo building and could only use the elevator for 3 hours. Day 1 was to pack everything. Day 2 was to move. Packing went smoothly. The team showed up on time and worked very efficiently. I'm wasn't 100% thrilled at how a few items (receivers, speakers) were packed, but they were secure, arrived intact and seem to be in working order. I would have preferred to see electronic equipment packed into their own boxes rather than jointly packed with other items. Still haven't hooked everything up to be 100% sure, but will get to that sooner than later. We opted for the additional insurance just to cover anything that might pop up. Moving day also went very smoothly. Team showed up on time and got started. The move went a little slower than expected, and we went over our 3 hour window on the elevator. But our building was understanding and it didn't cause too much of a problem. We did have a hiccup getting a sofa out of a door, but Mike - the company's president - handled the situation personally, inspiring a tremendous amount of confidence in the company. He showed up the next day to personally oversee the post-move inspection and fix any issues that we had. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The whole team was friendly and pleasant to work with. They were extremely accommodating towards the restrictions we had, and made the move unbelievably easy. Having their team pack was the best decision and best money spent. It doesn't add much to the cost of the move considering the time you'd spend packing yourself, buying all the packing materials, and having to live with increasingly less stuff while you pack it away. Mike, Curtis (our sales rep) and the whole team did a great job. I hope we don't have to move any time soon, but if we do, there is no doubt that we'll be using First Class Movers again.

If I had to do it over, I would have requested the packing and loading be done in one day instead of two. It really dragged out the moving and was exhausting. I have used this company before and they are excellent. The guys are clean and gentlemen. Nothing is ever broken or damaged. And, they are very patient when you get to your destination and have to decide where everything goes.

They were very accommodating finding time to move us in a last-minute move during the busiest week of the year. Everyone from the people at the office to the movers at the house were extremely kind and professional. We had three movers, Anthony, Jesus, and another, whose name sadly forget, and they were excellent. The move went very fast and they assembled furniture, opened some boxes and were generally very helpful. Will definitely use them again and recommend them. We've made three moves in three months and these guys were the best!

It was excellent! The workers were very professional, helpful, and they did an excellent job of packing. We had them pick up boxes at one storage unit and then they came to our house, dropped off some furniture in a storage unit in VA and dropped the rest off at our new home. They did all of this very well. They packed, protected the furniture in an outstanding way, and they just did an outstanding job! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Curtis was my POC for the move and was great to work with. I had a near last minute change to my move plan due to my floors not being ready to move in on on my scheduled date. Curtis worked with me and had his team drop all of my stuff off in my basement and scheduled a time to come back when the house was ready. Everything went off without a hitch and they really made my day stress free. Would recommend to anyone, I used another moving company before and these guys blew them away!

This is the company I first wanted to use for my move. I initially thought to move in late August 2013, at which point they were unavailable. I ended up moving in November 2013 and was happy to learn I could book them for my move! I was VERY apprehensive, as this was a cross country move and the horror stories of movers are endless, which is why I went to Angie's List for referrals. The whole process was wonderful, from the initial booking to the move itself. Everyone was courteous and professional. The gentlemen packed up everything with the greatest of care and only 1 thing arrived damaged/broken - a plate that I had packed myself! (that's why you should have the movers pack the china!). I only have one complaint, and that is that they hired a local company in NV to help with the final unpacking - they had to load the large cross-country truck into 2 smaller trucks, as the larger one couldn't get into my condo complex. The local gentlemen were disrespectful to my mother, who was helping me in my new location. Other than that, I HIGHLY recommend First Class movers

By doing a room by room review the company provided detailed and accurate estimate. I had to change the moving date twice which First Movers was able to accommodate. We had to put our belongings in storage and will be moving the contents at a later date. This was the only moving company that suggested using quilted "paper" blankets (used for international shipping) to protect the furniture in storage and in the future move. Besides the blankets, every piece of furniture was stretch wrapped. When we do move the contents, the items can immediately be put on the truck with no additional work. The move t went very well. Movers arrived on time and immediately went to work. Use this moving company -- you will not be disappointed.

Had a really terrific experience with these folks. From the beginning they were responsive to emails and calls, very fast at scheduling appointments, prompt on all arrival times, and very specific and thorough with each estimate. Curtis was extremely patient with my wife and I as we changed a moving date, added and removed services, and called pretty regularly with questions and concerns. They were flexible, they anticipated our needs very well, and both moves went very smoothly. The helped us pack the day before, they were terrific about helping us place items in the new house, helping us reassemble items, etc. Price seemed reasonable, especially considering how much they assisted, and we couldn't have asked for better service from the team that handled the hard work. Best review I can give them is they did what they said they would do, the way they said they would do it, at (in fact below!) the quoted price. Would definitely use again, and recommend unreservedly.

Wow. Better than expected. First, they come to your house prior to quoting and look at what they have to move, so you get a "live" estimate. Then, because of Angie's list, they drop off a lot of boxes prior to the move. They were in constant contact, easy to reach and very professional. Three guys showed up on time, were very professional and friendly and worked really hard. We were amazed that the final bill was a couple of hundred less than the quote! My friend just used another company and her bill was $400 more at the end, so I was kind of scared about that. Everything was delivered fine and no damage to anything. They moved the house like it was their own. We will definitely recommend them in the future. Hopefully, we will not have to use them for a long time as moving in general is not fun, but they did take some of the headache away. This was probably the easiest thing about our move.

It went very well. I was very impressed. The people were very accommodating. They protected all the floors. Any issues that I had, they handled on time. I was very happy with that. I would grade them an 'A' overall.

Curtis initially came to the apartment to give us an estimate for the move. He professionally took inventory of everything we had and answered our questions. On the day of the move, the movers were late and I couldn't get a hold of anyone in the office. Additionally there was miscommunication between the managers and movers, causing them getting lost, which delayed our start time. Overall, the movers were pleasant, and properly pack and secure our belongings. Although there were several mishaps, Mike, the owner, called the next day to follow up on their services and decided to refund the time the movers spent driving around lost reaching their destination. This was our first local move, so any stress and bumps were expected. But I very much appreciate the follow-up, and responsiveness the company had towards any issues that came forth. We're in fact looking to move again in the near future and will definitely call back to obtain a quote.
