Response from FIRST CLASS MOVERS INC
I am starting to understand that some people will go to great lengths no matter how you try to cooperate with their request for additional work to be done, to not pay for it. We had three different family members at three different locations, (all in charge),having us move things, with different directions than were originally requested at each stop. All the changes increased the original price from 3 hours of work to 7 hours of work. During the course of the day at each stop the crew chief would explain to each of the family members that the added work would increase the time, and the overall cost. Each time the crew chief was told to “simply do the work and hurry up”. At one point the crew was getting ready to leave, and the customer was so unhappy with us that they were trying to get us to move a very large delicate Armoire that was in pieces to another location 1 hour away, (where it would have required extensive time to reassemble it). Since we had to get to another job we had committed to for that day we declined. The other thing that they failed to mention in their review was our movers were required to shovel snow off about 50 feet of ascending steps at one of the stops, (it had snowed 2 days earlier), so we could move the extra furniture into one of the houses that we worked at, (I might add that we also used our salt from the truck which we didn’t charge them for). We had explained to this customer prior to their move day that they were responsible for clear safe passage way for us to work at the different stops which they claimed they understood. As for the 6 packing boxes we took away, they were filled with garbage , that most people would have appreciated the fact we took them away for free. Most reasonable people understand that extra work requested translates into extra time and money, (not these people). Throughout the review not once is there a reference to poor quality, or a lack of work being performed in a timely manner, that speaks volumes about this customer. This is a classic example of people that wanted something for nothing. Since the time that this customer posted this review, we have tried to discuss it with every one of them, but they have failed to return all such attempts to discuss it.
