Description of Work: I needed glass shower doors for two showers. I was sent a questionare with 13 questions, including measurements, to answer. When I completed these questions I was told I will be sent an estimate. If I agreed with the price a man would be sent to my house who would take more accurate measurements and I was to give him 50% of the cost. If I didn't, I would be charged $125 for the estimate. It was explained to me that this is because they are very busy. I guess they are too busy for my business. No thanks.

I do admit that I called safelite first as it was the only name I remembered, but they did not do Mobil in my area and the cost was almost $100 more. I am very happy I looked further . American Mobil Glass was one of the smoothest transactions I have ever made , I requested a quote on line on a Sunday, received it via e-mail the next day and the window was put In on Wednesday. I had recently paid this company to install a rear window on my vehicle and it was installed incorrectly, I was given back the parts required to align the glass by the manufacturer of the unit and was told by american mobile glass that the parts are not necessary. The glass is not properly lined up, I had gotten a second opinion on the repair and was told that it was clearly installed incorrectly. When I asked american mobile glass to repair it I was met with hostility telling me its normal and i dion't know what i am talking about. I am a certified automotive technicial as well and I am well aware of when something is installed incorrectly. American Mobile glass had also damaged the trim on the vehicle, scratched the paint and left glue on the body which another glass company had noticed immediately. I had supplied the glass which i purchased as a cosmetic upgrade to my vehicle from an online company and I was told by the office manager that they don't install or guarantee aftermarket glass and they don't install customer supplied parts after I had complained about the work. The office manager had said to me they were not even supposed to do that kind of a job and the faults in the work were acceptable and expected due to the nature of the aftermarket glass. They do not want to repair the damage considering I heard the office manager screaming at his mechanics that they break too many things and he gets too many complaints from customers because they are rushing through the job. I now have to order a new glass since it cannot be removed without damaged to have another company install it correctly. I was also told by Pat the office manager that that's what I get for being cheap and buying aftermarket glass considering it was a cosmetic choice on my part and it was about the same as a factory unit. I have finally taken my vehicle through a car wash for the first time since the rear glass was installed and I had noticed the glass leaking from three different spots. I had contacted American mobile glass and the office manager Pat had told me it is normal for aftermarket glass to leak and there is nothing wrong with that, I know than an average person without automotive knowledge can tell you this is wrong and considering I am a certified automotive technician and have been for the last eleven years I have never seen such disregard for cutomer concern and such poor quality repair performed by someone whio claims to be in the business for 28 years.
