Will not give back my deposit when I wanted to cancel the job.

Sent a technician to check my AC. Told me the compressor and fan are bad, need major work or total replacement. It will cost thousands of dollars! I called a local AC guy to double check, guess what? Just a faulty circuit breaker, there was no 220V current come in, how can compressor and fan work? Their technician don't even have basic skill to check if current is present . Very disappointed, I even need to pay them $150 for wrong diagnosis. Don't use them, or you'll end up like me.

The team was very professional and did an excellent job removing my old condensor and air handler and installing the new one. The gave me a fair price and back up their work with a 10 year warranty on parts AND LABOR!!!!

Alfano originally quoted state tax on a gas furnace, which is not charged in NJ (with a form ST-8). If I had not caught that, it would have resulted in ~$280 overcharge. During installation, the tech insisted on another $250 for a condensate pump which was not in the original quote. They had already removed the old system when they discovered this problem. The installation tech said the condensate pump would be whisper quiet. While it runs only for a brief time, it is annoyingly not - more than audible inside a room where we watch TV (the furnace is in a ventilated closet). The piping was installed in such a way as to make the humidifier annual service difficult. The routing could have been changed to avoid this. I had worked out, in writing, a price which included the town construction permits and fees. I submitted the contract with this term. They took my deposit, installed the furnace, and took my file payment but did not file, much less pay for the permits. According to the building department should be done BEFORE the job starts. After over a month of numerous emails and phone calls, and 3 requests for the owner (Phi) to call me, Phil called me, talking aggressively. I had to stop him several times so he would listen to the facts I gave him my understanding of the permit fees - under $200 on $3,500 job. Only after insisting that he cover 100% permits/fees did he promise to take care of them; and contact me if the permits were more than we talked about. A week later, I contacted the town building department. The permits have still not been filed. I notified Alfano. No one has responded so far. It has been nearly two months, with about 10 emails and phone calls, to get just get the permit issue resolved. Not happy.

The conclusion: I paid 300 dollars to this company, they did not solve the problem. And, I tried to communicate with them to solve the issues, but they do not reply my phone call and message. I found by looking nearby service for heating radiator loud sound and air vent leaking, and recommended this company, they called me to schedule a time. One technician came and I told them the problem, the technician said they will start to put Squik chemical in the heating tank, and would come back in one week to check if that works. They charged me 300 dollars for that, after the technician put the chemical, he said he would not need to come back to check, and insisted to charge me 300 dollars at one time. I asked the technician to wrote me a note on the receipt, and said, if after 1 week, the solution does not work, and loud sound problem still exist, the company would came back to solve the problem and will not charge additional money. I have the note. The second problem is air vent leaking, I asked the technician to change the air vent, but the technician said he did not bring the air vent. Then the technician left. So, basically, this company came, charged me 300 dollars by adding some Squik powder in the heating tank, and the total time he worked is less than 30min. If this solved the problem, that is fine, but the problem still there, still very loud sound from the radiator, and air vent is still leaking. I called them three times, the first call, the receptionist was polite, she said, she will talk with the manager, but I did not get any reply, the second time I called, the receptionist was also ok, she said she would talk with the manager again. On the third call, a man answered the call and said he is the owner, and is kind of rude and after I complained, he said: Good luck. Then I called the technician and sent him a couple messages, but he did not reply. I still have the receipt and note from the technician which said, if the chemical Squik does not work, they will come and solve the problem without additional charge. I could provide a copy of the receipt and note to prove what I posted here are facts.

They were able to fix the issue. Provided a good competitive pricing for new system. Never new how bad was the old system after they install the new one in.

Saved me from a cold weekend. What else can I say. They took my request and responded quickly, efficiently.

They came in to fix the furnace. That one they fixed. As they were here, I asked them to check the leak in the escape valve of my water heater. They confirmed they could fix it. For the total service on both heater and furnace they charged me almost $700. Pretty expensive, but they promised it would be perfect afterwards. The leak never stopped. It flooded my utility room a couple of times. They finally came to take another look, just changed the valve and said they would speak to the owner to try to find out how to fix the leak once and for all. It has been two weeks and I haven't heard from them. I am not familiar with prices for these services but I have the feeling I have been overpriced and underscored.

We are working through an issue that happened a month after they came to work on the furnance. Hoping to find a resolution with that. We paid in full for both the furnance and the air conditioning and the work has yet to be completed on the air conditiong, and we were left suffering in over 90 degree heat this past weekend. I have dogs and a husband with asthma so it was a stressful time. They are hard to get in touch with, and I will update or change my review once the air conditioning work is finished. Again have not had the best experience, and we are still waiting for them to come finish the air conditioning work that we already paid for in full, months ago.

Have to get the right contractor, we got Gold Medal before seeking advice from home advisor their suggestion was have to change the whole system for a price of $25,000,00. That is crazy. They donâ t know their business . Gold Madel is also recommended by you. I strongly against and doubt their ability in business.

Alfano came to our house and fixed our furnace on a Sunday before anyone else on Angi even responded to my request to be contacted. The technician came back later in the day when his temporary fix didn't work and saved us from being heatless in 20 degree weather. Permanent repair was completed before lunch the next day. Very nice people- highly recommended!

Called on Sunday ,oil burner grinding and not getting radiators hot and leaking water, sent a man down right away (on a Sunday), 2 days later I'm laying next to a warm radiator ( only because they had to order parts for my acient system), thanks slot guys really appreciate all that was done and a reasonable price too!!!

They came in and laughed at me. They also messed up the job and my daughter heard them saying **we will be back**... Them laughing again. The next day, I had problems no heat. Just like before. I had to call another company to fix the problem. I will never use them again.

Alfano Mechanical we're wonderful to deal with from start to finish. They explained everything thoroughly and did what they could to get my heat running. Though they were unable to fix the real issue at the time, they made sure everything else was in working order and cleaned up before they left. I would highly recommend using this company for your heating and cooling needs.

The 2 mechanics were polite and courteous. Their work was very good and professional. They ran into some problems with the new part. They had patience and dedication to resolved the problem and complete the job. I appreciate a Job well done Ed

Hire at your own risk, Alfano made my problem worse, and failed to turn up on two separate occasions when I called for help. I finally had to hire another company, and was told by the technician that all he had to do was redo the work done by Alfano to repair my system. I am currently working at getting a refund or I will likely have to pursue legal action against them, as I feel I was overcharged for incompetence and given poor customer service to round things out. Go with anyone else, Alfano has no idea what they're doing and didn't seem bothered by the fact that I was without heat or hot water for almost 2 weeks after calling them for a minor issue.

Great company. The owner is truly genuine about his company and his staff.

Do not hire this company, they use unqualified and unlicensed people to work for them the owner is very disrespectful and hangs up on customers. They came to my house looked at the furnace said it needed a thermostat to replace it and left did not turn the furnace on again for a month because of the nice weather when I turned it on it did not come on called them they sent an unqualified person who said there was a problem with the gas line which was a lie because the boiler was running then the guy demanded 180.00 for looking at the furnace so I did not pay him and put him out please whatever you do do not hire this company, keep in mind that if you hire them and GOD forbids the house burns down the insurance company is not obligated to pay because you allowed unqualified unlicensed personal work on your furnace, please be aware of this fraudulent company

This service should not be used. Employ the services of a different professional to complete your repairs. They did severe damage to our home, and when requested to repair it, the owner, Phill, hung up the phone.
