Sean was great! He was friendly and efficient. We had lost our heat and he came within a few hours and fixed the issue. We are not sure about the pricing because we did no comparison. Can’t comment on that aspect but we would recommend them and use them again.

I worked with Sean who could not have been more knowledgeable, transparent, and most importantly honest about the situation. After working with 3 previous companies, all that could not figure out the issues and charged me a lot of money, Sean was able to quickly diagnose the real issues and fix them. He did outstanding work and was an absolute pleasure to converse with as well. Alfano's pricing was also substantially better than all competitors. I would 10/10 recommend Alfano Mechanical to anyone!

Furnace was under warranty but was continuously billed for parts that were covered. Continued to have the same issue after numerous repairs. Feel like I was being scammed. Issue were never documented properly but they blamed lack of maintenance on failures although they were there numerous times & never mentioned anything.

Hmmm. Pretty mixed experience. They DID get a new furnace installed in one day, and worked to 7 PM to do it. The furnace costs about 1,000 dollars, and they charged us 4,200 dollars. That is VERY high labor costs... 3,200 dollars! I reckon it was opportunistic pricing. And, I wish they had told me that the Goodman furnace is the cheapest quality, we would have chosen a different brand. Then, the installer said, all parts are warrantied for 10 years, but the contract they sent after says 5 years, with 10 years for heat exchanger only. The installer said the office will register the furnace with Goodman, you do not have to do anything. When I emailed them, they said, no, we need the serial number!!! The installer could have just taken a photo. Now, it is up to me to unscrew panels and find that number. Grrr. Charging top, top dollar (and then some, maybe), the service should be flawless, it is not. I have had to call then 4 times. Go elsewhere if you expect top quality service. I do, and I am disappointed.

Their service repairman was able to identify and fix a problem that another company charged over $800 for repairs that didn't address the issue. Sean was courteous and very capable as he identified the problem and fixed it so we were able to get heat on a very cold (21 degree) day in November.

The technicians were very competent, courtesy, and professional. They identified several longstanding problems with my steam heating system and corrected them. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

I had an extremely difficult job, as I live in a lake community and on a hill. The only way in and out for a 600 lb boiler is around my house, down a hill, over rocky uneven ground. Two contractors refused to take the job but Alfano came through. They brought in extra laborers, used a winch, and got it done. They kept coming back until everything was dialed in and perfect. They were courteous and very professional. They will be our regular servicemen moving forward, too.

Although I had a prior difficulty with this contractor, on this service visit they made improvements in their customer service to me and gave me a big price break. Sean, the technician was exceptionally courteous and affable. He did have to come back one time tp complete the job, otherwise work quality would have been five stars. Likewise, customer service would have been 5 stars, had there not been issues scheduling the work, which took longer than I'd have preferred.

Joe is very knowledgeable, respectful and professional. They did a very good job. Masks and shoe covers were on all the time. Floor protection was used. Detailed contract was written and explained. I even hired them for another project: install the thankless water heater. Great company.

Joe the technician who fixed my furnace arrived on schedule to my house, diagnosed and found right away the problem. I was watching him while fixing my heater unit, and explain to me how things work, and that’s the part I like to Joe. After the job done he contacted me 2x already making sure the heater is working properly. He gave me his direct number saying don’t hesitate to call him for any problem with the heating unit he fixed! PSE&G Tech. when fixing my cooling system they don’t like being watch, told me he can’t do his job when someone is watching! Maybe he does not know or not sure what he is doing! Too bad!!!

Customer service is much improved from an earlier experience. While scheduling the job took longer than I'd have preferred, the work done was satisfactory. The service technician Sean was courteous and friendly but had to come back a second time to fix a switch issue, otherwise his work would be 5 stars.. However, I got a big price break, so I am satisfied with the end result this time.
