Had my 13Kw system installed 2 years ago. I wanted to wait to see how everything was running before entering the review. The system is working great and no animals are getting in under the panels. Solar Living made sure the panels were well protected. The design is good and was able to add as many panels without compromising the look of the roof. In 2 years, one of the Enphase IQ 7 failed and Solar Living automatically contacted me to schedule a visit to replace the unit. It's great to have peace of mind where the system is being taken care of without me maintaining it.

The banging sounds in the tubes have ceased and the system is functioning normally again.

I have been using them for almost 20 years since my pool went in. They installed the original system which at this point has save me thousands of dollars in heating bills and they still come out to repair the system. After 20 years they could have sold me on a new panel system, but they gave an honest assessment and repaired the panel.

Work was done timely and efficiently. Responded to all requests for information, even after project was completed. Would definitely recommend.

We had an issue with the backup hot water heater and Solar Living determined it needed to be replaced. They were able to contact the distributor and assure that the cost of a new heater was still covered under our warranty. They found the problem and were very responsive with help -- following up until they were able to obtain the new heater. They were able to work with our existing pipes and, at the same time, installed a new regulator. They removed the old equipment and installed the new and left the work area spotless. We've worked with them before and they are always responsive and very professional. They are on time and do excellent work. I recommend them very highly.

The Solar Living team definitely deserves straight A's. From my first contact with them, they displayed a high degree of professionalism. When performing the work, they were prompt and extremely respectiful of our home. Before they left, they made sure we understood the systems and were happy with the quality of the work performed. Solar is a great way to reduce (or in some cases, eliminate) energy costs. But having the right company doing the installation is essential. It seems that companies pop up daily claiming to do solar systems. These guys are the real deal! I recommend them whole-heartedly.

Mike and Ethan are great. They have been tending to my 20 year old solar pool heating system for years and always do a great job. They are straight up about what is worth fixing and keeping the system working at it's best. Mike shows no hesitation, climbing up on a roof which I dread to tread on, to repair my solar panels. Plus they are just nice to work with and they care about doing great work!!

Ethan and Mike from solar living did a great job. From the first time I contacted Ethan he was very communicative. He provided a detailed description of the steps needed to complete the job and a price estimate. A few days before the job he called to confirm. Ethan and Mike arrived right on time and went straight to work. Before beginning the job the system was checked and Mike and Ethan ensured that the panels and frames could be removed and the roof etc would stay intact. This was a messy job as these old solar panels were all broken down. The panels were removed and metal parts were hauled away. The work area was left in pristine condition. Ethan and Mike were very knowledgeable, efficient, and pleasant to work with. The cost of the job was right on point with the estimate I would highly recommend Solar Living for any of your jobs needing expertise in this area.

These guys really know their stuff!. We couldn't get the original installers to respond and reached out to Solar Living. They responded quickly, were able to come to the house to check out our situation the same day because they were nearby and then sent us a detailed estimate explaining exactly what they would do -- removal, temporary storage, meeting flashing requirements, electrical work, sealing for each penetration (our original problem with the roof), materials; their estimate included information on building code requirements and an offer to add rodent protection for the wiring. They completed both the removal and reinstallation (after two hard rains) as promised, on schedule. They are very knowledgeable about solar equipment and excellent communicators about any work that needs to be done and why and how. They are very professional and worked well with our roofers. We are ordering a new solar attic fan for our house from them and have already recommended them to a couple of friends.

This is the most professional, courteous, friendly company we have ever encountered. Appointments were kept, phone calls returned promptly. They provide a high quality product that is locally manufactured. When Ethan came to give us an estimate, he looked at the pool and pump location, measured the roof, sat down with literature and explained the system. What was most refreshing is there was no high-pressure sales pitch. It was very casual and matter-of-fact. We gave him a deposit that day, he put us on the schedule, we had our installation in less than two weeks. Ethan and Mike did the installation themselves, they were quick, clean, and did a great job around some close landscaping. They did not break twig! The job was done in June (2018) The pool warmed up after 2 sunny days. We’ve had our pool for 12 years and was only able to enjoy it during a heat wave. I’m anxious to see how quickly it will warm up when we open it next spring. For anyone thinking about solar heat, I HIGHLY recommend this company. Thank you Ethan & Mike

Solar Living was great. They deserve their excellent reputation. My job was fairly small but very frustrating. I called them for a simple repair and they noted that my panels were potentially under recall. I appreciated that because I had no way of knowing. I immediately contacted the recall administrator. Long story short, it has taken almost 9 months to work this out and zero amount of delays were due to Solar Living. They were flexible and responsive and helped me to make sure my system would be both operationally fine as well as safe. (Note my cost was higher than normal because of delays that required them to have to completely remove and re-install my system). I recommend them highly.

It went perfectly. We scheduled the installation in the fall of the panels and piping. In the spring when the pool was up and running they completed the electrical portion and tested the system. They explained how to use the system and clearly identified all the parts for me. I found this company wonderful to work with and easy to get in touch with. I know if there are any issues (which there are not), they will be quickly. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to heat their pools.

Contacted the company through their "Contact Us" form after hours on a Tuesday night. The owner, Ethan Horvitz, personally called me on Wednesday morning and was able to visit my house that afternoon to repair a major leak in my solar panel array. Very friendly and knowledgeable, he educated me about my system and presented me with multiple different options for how to fix/improve my system. He counseled me away from the most expensive option because he didn't think it was the right choice for my needs. Very happy with Ethan, I am signing a contract this week for additional work.

I highly recom them for solar energy

Very well. The original installer 30+ years ago retired. I researched and decided to call Solar Living in 2014 to replace the roof panels. He did such a great job that we did not hesitate to call Solar Living again for this problem. Although the price may seem high, the parts were the majority of the expense not the labor.

I had Mike and Ethan install pool heating a few years ago. They did a great job, explained everything well and in general made me very comfortable. Lat year one of the valves broke (as it turns out due to a part defect). When I called for help I got it very quickly and everything was fixed under warranty. This year when I just reached out with some questions about the set up I got answers in 30 minute at 7am (I send an email, did not call :) ). They even looked up old installation notes to help me. I wish there were more contractors like these. Thank you guys!

Working with the folks at Solar Living was a pleasure from beginning to end. They were very patient and thorough in explaining the benefits of the system and the procedure that would follow thereafter. They were involved in the process and handled all aspects of the project from applying for permits, installation, state certification, photovoltaic system asset registration etc...They intervened whenever necessary and made sure that we were aware and involved in all aspects of the project. If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely choose Solar Living!
