They did a great job, They are trustworthy and excellent. I will definitely recommend this company.

After several consultations and quotes from other bath renovation experts, we felt the most comfortable and confident with James. We never felt pressured or rushed into making decisions on tile, fixtures and finishes. James was very open to our design ideas and did a great job bringing our two bathrooms to light. Having a showroom was super convenient. Kudos to all of his pros (electrician, tile guy, plumber, carpenter, demo guys), all were respectful, friendly and neat.

The only part that was done well was the demolition, they were professional and clean. The rest was a headache the only thing Joel wanted was to get done and last payment .. the workers came at all different times of the day some started in the evening after five every time the workers left I had to clean up , or fix something myself , The work could have been a lot more organized. the electrician ,plumbers and tile people all would have to stop and come back different times as each craft did finish up or left more to do. just numerous problems . Just REMEMBER THIS WHICH I DID NOT KNOW all people are subcontracted by master kitchens and are not full time workers of master kitchens and some are doing this part time after their regular jobs. The appliances were to be put in, all they were was set in place. In the end I had to level the appliances set the dishwasher and thankfully I did as the return hose for the dishwasher was kinked and would not let the water drain I had to shorten hose and refit and level,behind the stove the outlet was smashed and caused the breaker to trip . I had to replace the outlet . this could have caused a possible fire. THIS is the kicker three weeks after paying balance( just to get them out of my life) the electrician calls crying JOEL wont pay him for extra outlets(2) and three dimmer switches, because he didn't submit it to him on time. I wanted to be fair so I'm sending him the $135

The installation was done professionally. Mario and Vlad were clean, caring, and hard working. They made sure to ask questions to make sure installation was done to my specs. I give these guys an A+. Very honest and trustworthy.......(ask for these guys to install) Jaye at Master Builders came up with a well planned functional design for the kitchen. She kept all her promises and wanted to make sure things were done to my satisfaction. Kept on top of the progress, came out to inspect the work done by installers. Promptly took care of some minor bumps that go along with the install. Returned all calls and did not disappear when need to fix minor issues. Also A +................

All the grout where the tub meets the wall was coming undone. They explained it was due to settlement. I contacted them about it and they came out to "fix" the problem, which was taking grout and putting it on the cracks on the tub and the broken tile work on the floor. This was not the correct way to fix the problem. Because it was not fixed correctly, it continues to crack and has done so an additional 6 times. They refuse to come out again to fix it. Because of this faulty work I will now have to replace the entire floor of my bathroom.

We are very satisfied with the service from beginning to end. Irene Strauss was very knowledgeable and professional throughout the process and we are extremely satisfied with the finished product.

Master Kitchens and Bath did a complete renovation of our bathroom. We were recommended to MKand B by a friend who used them for her bathroom renovation. We met James, an owner, at his showroom and explained what we were looking to do with our ONLY bathroom in the house. Aside from quality we were very concerned with timeliness as we would be without a bathroom while the work was being done. James gave us a written list of what work would be done on what day and gave us a timeframe for the work to be completed. James visited our home to look at the existing bathroom, take measurements and tell us what in his mind would work best for us as far as design. We visited the showroom again to review his design and pick tile, fixtures and accessories. Their showroom is very extensive with many choices available. James guided us through the process of making our final decisions on how our new bathroom would look. He's very professional, knowledgable and friendly. We weren't rushed in any way and were given the opportunity to and quot;sleep onand quot; our decisions before materials were ordered and work begun. We were able to choose a start date that worked for us. James was flexible to meet our needs, communicated every step of the way personally and was present to inspect the work after every major step. His contractors performed quality work, on time, cleaned the work area at the end of the day and were all very friendly and cooperative in every respect. We are looking to renovate our kitchen in the not too distant future and will be using MKand B to do the job.

I had a good experience with Master Kitchens and Baths. They can be an all in one shop. . They were easy to deal with but if you want very specific things, you can ask but it is easier just to use them for everything. I did buy my own tile as I wanted a particular tile that I had already picked out and they accommodated me. The reason why I used this type of place is so I could get a handle on what the real cost of the job was going to be. I would recommend doing it this way because it can get overwhelming using a contractor and then going out and buying all the materials yourself. The outcome was great. I am very pleased. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

We had a gut and replacement of a small 5x8 bathroom. James promised the work can be completed in 2-weeks with the caveat of unforeseen problems We had some issues, but James and his subcontractors were very responsive and did manage to have the bathroom in working order and nearly complete within the 2-weeks. They remained responsive in completing the outstanding issues in a very professional manner.

They wasted my time.

The floor was a disaster. They said it was the joists in my house, and the inspector disagreed. They put a tile floor over a hardwood floor. Apparently they did not do it correctly. I cannot afford to get the floor fixed now, and it is cracking all over the place. They went back and forth about whether or not it was their responsibility. I paid them in cash for everything that was done. They did a fantastic job on everything else, I cannot say anything nice about them now. It is a shame.

Someone from Master and I spent about 1/2 hour going over 2 renovations with James that were needed for baths in our home. Did not hear in 1 week and called. Left message since he was with another customer and they never called back. Called again in week 2 and was told James was going on vacation and he would be back in 10 days. He would get back to me on his return. We waiting over a month to hear something but we never received a quote or any return phone calls. Addendum : They did call back after the review was posted here. Shows you the power of Angies List. During todays call they said they called me twice but admitted they 'but did not leave a message'. So I ask the readers, if someone calls, and no one knows you called, is that 'reaching out personally'? At best, you are hiding behind a phantom phone call. There was no miscommunication on our end. They would not email me the quote. They say you MUST go down to the showroom to see the quote so you can see the fixtures included in the quote personally. In the 2 months we have waited, my wife and I have been to many showrooms and seen a lot of fixtures on the internet. At this point , we do not need to go to a showroom and in fact, we know exactly what fixtures we want in the bathrooms and would order them ourselves or tell them exactly what to order. In addition, this week is bad for us to go anywhere and our newborn twins sometimes make such trips difficult. We asked if the fixtures could be omitted from the quote or just state an allowance (like all the other businesses have done). We were told they do not do business that way and if we did not come down to the showroom, they could not give us a quote. We passed. We prefer dealing with a company that places each and every customer first and treats them as individuals. p.s. As an aside, unlike Angies List, BBB ratings can be bought. Several weeks after deciding to go with the cabinet refinishing, Master Kitchens and Bath had the cabinet specialist, Dan, come out to our home to pick up the doors and drawers. It takes about a week for him to work on the drawers and doors, which worked out perfectly for us since we were going away the following week. Before leaving for vacation we emptied all the cabinets and cleared out the kitchen. Dan set up the date he would come back to do the exterior frames of the cabinets - which was the day after we came home from vacation. Dan and his assistant came in as scheduled and worked all day - making sure to cover all exposed surfaces (floors, counters, stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, doorway, etc.), and set up a large exhaust fan to draw out dust and any fumes. They sanded the wood and applied the finish. Everything was cleaned up before leaving that day (including cabinet interiors). The following day Dan came back to install the refinished doors and drawers and new hardware and hinges. Before leaving, Dan made sure we were 100% satisfied with everything. We are so pleased with the lighter, brighter look of our kitchen.

Overall the project went terrific. They were very well organized. The scheduling was phenomenal. They did both the kitchen and bath over a six week period. It was really an efficient job and the price was excellent and competitive. The people who came were very knowledgeable and very skilled. I was very satisfied and the finished carpentry work was excellent. They brought somebody to do the cabinets and they did a good job.

They started the middle of August with the demo of the klitchen and 2nd floor bath, as the demo was being completed the electrician and plumber started to come in to do all rough work within a week they were ready for inspections, Next week they framed insulated and sheetrocked, and tile and started putting the bath figures in and in a matter of 5 weeks both rooms were just about done. We were extremely impressed with the scheduling of trades and the workers were very clean and neat The cabinets they provide were excellent quality not junk. The carpenter that install everything was a perfectionist and it shows The kitchen and bath looks awesome and we are so happy we selected Joel at Master Kitchens and Bath. It was an outstanding experience. You wont go wrong with this company they are A++

I went to their showroom in Fairlawn on Friday 7/9/10 and met with Irene, their designer. I chose 3 samples of Silestone for the countertop and a tile for the backsplash. Irene said I had to supply the dishwasher, sink and faucet. I supplied a drawing of the space with measurements. Irene said they would get back to me in a few days. Since I hadn't heard from Irene, on Thursday July 15 I called to see if the quote was ready. She told me it was still on the boss's (Joel) desk and she didn't have access to his office but she thought he might be back in late that day. I asked her to call me either way. She said ok but never called. I called again on Friday and mentioned that she hadn't called me back, She said "yeah, I know" but Joel was still out of the office but would be in on Monday. I have never heard from her.

Ultimately he did good work, with the exception of damaging the ceiling and some lousy cabinet work. Unfortunately he didn't follow through with his promises. He seemed to take short cuts anywhere he could. My main complaint is that he dragged the project out way too long, the work started in April and didn't finish until July. I think he took advantage of my medical condition. The bathroom work was quite good. Some of the work I had done was good, yet it was suppose to only take a couple weeks which turned into several months.
