Description of Work: If you are looking for a good electrical contractor, I would recommend KRANTZ ELECRIC in Fairlawn NJ. The owner was at our house back in 2016 installing outdoor sensor lights, a new porch light and upgrading our kitchen lights from Halogen to LED’s. He was back at our house in 2020 installing a new overhead kitchen fan and replacing older bathroom lights. We called him again at the end of August 2022 to replace a bathroom switch. Late one night, the switch operating our overhead lights blew. It was too late to go to a local hardware store and I didn’t have the time to go shopping the next day; so I called KRANTZ, told him the problem and he came to replace the switch. He is a licensed electrician who provides reliable and quality service. He is also friendly and professional. He has been to our house three times and will call him again, if necessary.

Description of Work: The job entailed: Installing 2 OH outdoor sensors Installing a new LED OH fixture on our porch Replacing old halogen lights in our kitchen with new LED’s Replacing 2 old switches and installing two new splice boxes

Description of Work: Fixed a variety of problems: replaced a lamp, replaced a burnt out dimmer switch, restored power to a dead line which included tracing where the problem was. The impact to us was that (a) the dining room chandelier had stopped to work and the outside Christmas lights were off. Not good when you are hosting a Christmas dinner the next day.

Description of Work: David removed a ceiling fan and replaced it with another fixture, installed 2 ceiling fan lights where there were no existing fixtures. Moved a door bell, and replaced the out door ring button. Wired and hung a flat screen TV. Added a second switch in 3 bathrooms to allow exhaust fan and light to work independently.

Description of Work: The perimeter lights around our circular driveway, as well as the Post lamp, all went out with a puff of smoke from the electrical switch plate and timer inside the house. I was worried that the house might burn down because of an electrical fire. I called our electrician (Trass Electric——selected from Angie's List) who never responded that night. I called again early the next morning with no response. So I went on-line and typed in "Emergency Electrician". I identified several companies, but eliminated all those companies that started with an "A", e.g. allamerican, AAA, allstate, etc. because they are never any good. My eye caught Krantz Electric and they had a cell phone number for emergencies. Well, that was good enough for me. I called at 0735 hours and surprisingly someone answered. He took the necessary information about the problem and my location and told me he would be at my home in an hour. Well, you can only imagine my surprise when precisely at 0835 hours, Dave from Krantz Electric drove up to my front door. He went right to work to diagnose the problem. Unfortunately, there was still a lot of snow all around the perimeter lights, which hampered his ability to find out the exact problem. It appears that the snow and water had entered the wiring outside in the perimeter lights (which he found were now corroded over the past 30 years) and were causing the electrical short. I also found out that the perimeter lights were not installed properly in the first place. Dave and Krantz Electric rate an "A++++++".

Description of Work: Replace storm damaged Electrical Service. Removed damaged service wire, meter pan, breaker panel. Replaced/installed service wire, meter pan, breaker panel. Installed new grounding as needed for current building codes. Attained required permits and inspections.

Description of Work: David Krantz came over the Sunday after Hurricane Irene and removed a light fixture that had filled up with water from a leak in the chimmney.

Description of Work: The company representative gave free advise on electrical line voltage problem we were having. That fixed the problem and saved us money. Dave recommended that we call the electric company to fix an outside line problem. This was the solution.

Description of Work: Krantz increased our electrical capabilities. They installed enough power so we have the ability to run 250 amps of power in our home at one time without burning fuses. I will say my home is 1600 square feet.

Description of Work: They installed a ceiling fan in my kitchen and changed a couple of wall switches. They also did some electrical work on our flood lights outside, so that they would not come on during the daytime.
