Work was OK, but there was a disconnect between estimator and crew that did the work. Promised items were not provided or it was not clear if they were. Overall I am satisfied with the work and value, but I am not sure I got what I bargained for.

The chimney cleaners worked carefully and professionally. They covered my carpet and furniture before starting the job. They were careful and cleaned up before leaving. I would recommend them .

Got a few estimates for a chimney cleaning and replacement of damper. They were the most reasonable but I can see why. As soon as the crew got here?which was more than 48hrs later than they said they would come?the guy starts off by saying ?I?m no salesman,? which is code for I?m a really bad salesman since I?m about to crudely try to make a sale that I will inevitably butcher. He then said ?this is the worst chimney I?ve ever seen.? He vaguely pointed to the chimney on the outside and said we need to tear down the whole chimney and rebuild it. The ?other option? is to just replace the part of the chimney that is above the roof, with a $4500 estimate. He said you shouldn?t use the chimney until this gets done. Then he threw in this gem of a line: ?as soon as I hit the stop sign I?m going to forget about this house.? I had no idea what he meant but when he said it another few times I asked what does that mean? His response: ?I don?t care what you do this is no big deal to me.? My response: ?it?s a big deal to me.? I asked if there were any other options and he made some off color comment about how I could ?get some guys who don?t speak English to slap some cement on it.? He then showed me a spot in the fireplace that needed repair and uttered ?cmon bro this is obvious, how did your home inspector not catch this? You clearly got the worst one in history.? I don?t remember the guys name, but he was completely unprofessional. Even if there is significant damage in need of repairs, this is not the way to tell your customer. You don?t try to bully them and speak condescendingly, which only shows your ignorance. If it was ?that bad? why did the guy who came to do an estimate not notice it? Or did he and that?s why he came in low on the initial repairs so he could try to up sell later? Either way, there is no way I?d use or recommend this company to anyone. I highly suggest looking elsewhere.

Initially, the chimney was inspected and I got an honest appraisal for the scope of work that required doing. A few days later, the cleaning crew arrived and efficiently cleaned the chimney and installed a chimney cap. They left the fireplace area clean. They arrived on time. It was a good experience.

Matt came, looked at the chimney, made a pictures of the inside to show me and told me that the chimney was clean as it was. In other words, Matt did not come up with hundreds of dollars worth of unnecessary repairs as is customary. This is professional honesty! Thank you, Matt.

Did not like that I was quoted $200 for reg. FP and $150 for Franklin stove, the prices were OK but then all of a sudden the price jumped up to $3,900. to have the bricks replaced etc. that really annoyed me as I only wanted the chimneys cleaned. Also I didn't realize there were two guys working until it was too late. One guy came in to get my signature I asked him if he did all the work, he said yes, so I gave him a $5.00 tip. Then as they pulled out I say the young man who really did the chimney sweep, but it was too late, they were pulling out of my driveway. Now that REALLY annoyed me...
