A-1 APPLIANCE REPAIR SVC INC

This is the second time I've used these guys and each time it's been great. They are professionals and I highly recommend them. I called them because my refridgerator mysteriously stopped working and I needed someone to quickly repair it so that I wouldn't lose all the food that was in it. Anyway, when I called - at 7:30am, really not expecting anyone to answer the phone - and spoke to Jeff, he told me that they were a man short that day and that it might be difficult to get someone out that day. Well, I explained my situation to him and he told me that he would see what he could do. Needless to say, he showed up about 9:00/9:30 and got right to work. The problem was diagnosed and fixed by 11:00. Nice work. It isn't very often that I go out of my way to pat someone on the back, but these guys deserve it. Give them a go, my guess is that you won't be disappointed.

Jeff was punctual, friendly, and knew what he was doing. Came the day after I called. Really great service.

Our dishwasher stopped working two days before Christmas when we were expecting 26 guests. It was still under warranty for another 3 weeks but the company who does that service couldn't come until December 30. I joined Angie's list to look for local guys who might be able to help me and found A-1. I called, the gentleman was finishing up a couple of hours away and said he could be there in 20 minutes. He was and 30 minutes later the dishwasher was running perfectly. The original installers hadn't secured the wiring properly causing the problem. I have passed A-1's info on to my entire family as the service was terrific.

I called because my Asko dishwasher was leaving water in the bottom. Mike came out and found a piece of a wooden skewer lodged in the water pump. He removed it, cleaned up the dishwasher, tested it and it's been fine ever since. I was very happy with his knowledge, professionalism, promptness (he even called to let me know he could get here a little earlier than we had scheduled, which was fine with me.) The price was what I'd expect to pay for this kind of service call and repair. Overall I highly recommend.

They responded to my initial call within minutes. Adam the repairman was at my house within an hour. He was thorough and professional.

Called A-1 because our refrigerator stopped working, scheduled an appointment within 24 hours, the serviceman was prompt and the work was done in 25 minutes.

We used A-1a couple of years ago when our refrigerator compressor died, and they did such a good job that I called them again yesterday afternoon when our electric dryer suddenly stopped heating. Didn't even have to wait for a call back--they answered right away and were here this morning. Cheerful and friendly Jeff figured out in only a few minutes that the dryer was fine but the circuit breaker wasn't making proper contact in our electrical panel and so wasn't giving enough power to drive the heater. Still had to pay for the service call of course, but a less scrupulous repair person might have seen an opportunity to make costly and unneeded repairs. Will definitely call A-1 again if we need any more appliance repairs.

I called the company which I chose from Angie's List, Of course. I left a detailed message at about 2PM. That evening at 7PM, my phone call was returned. I was asked to explain the problem. My clothes dryer was not generating any heat. I was asked for the make and model and advised that I would receive a phone call between 7am and 8am the following morning to let me know when the technician would make the service call. The next morning, I received a call at 7:30am to advise that he would be here between 11am and 2pm. He arrived at about 12:30, checked and tested my clothes dryer and described the problem and cost in detail and in a way a layman could understand. He had the parts in his vehicle and performed the repair service within half and hour, presented me with the bill. I could not be more pleased with the professional manner in which my service was handled from start to finish and I am very pleased that I found an appliance service I can rely on and use in the future.

Showed in the time frame agreed to. The tech was professional and highly responsive to questions regarding the repair. He explained how the particular problem was resolved (I thought it was the thermostat and he went through the process on why that was ruled out and, why the motor fan was the actual problem). He even explained the proper way to store items in the frig. in response to my questions. There was one extraordinary service item that needs to be mentioned. I also have a dishwasher that had a leaking rinse disposal (had to refill every 3 -5 days). I was strongly considering spending the additional $225+ for this repair. While I was still talking about the problem, the agent (actually the son of the owner) applied a pair of pliers to the rinse dial, and the problem was fixed. End of discussion, no additional cost to me, over $200 saved. This was totally unexpected by me and reflects a quality and style of service (always my chief concern) that goes way beyond anything I've experienced before, and literally...you can only hope to stumble across. I saved over an extra $200 that could have easily been charged to me and, A-1 Appliance has gained an extremely satisfied and loyal client. I called A-1, they returned my call quickly. The repairman came when he said he would, triaged the situation, gave me the cost to repair, had the parts on the truck and fixed it immediately. I would highly recommend A-1 Service again.

I called the service on Saturday morning and received a phone call back that night. They came out first thing Monday morning (they would have came on Sunday but i would not be home) they got the refrigerator working on that Monday and order the parts they need. He told me everything would be in the following Monday and they where as promised. They are wonderful people to work with and they did over charge me at all.

I was completely satisfied with the service and price from K-1. The serviceman was competent and courteous. A-1 responded with a service call within the hour.

It was very good service. Came on time, repaired the dishwasher and replaced a control board cover. Saved me lots of money by not having to replace the dishwasher. Very nice people and great attitude.

My dryer stopped heating, so I called these guys from Angie's List. Wow! They found a repairman who was in my area on another job, and he came right to my house within 1/2 hour. Nice, professional in appearance and behaviour. Quickly diagnosed and clearly explained the problem. Had the right parts on the truck. Gave me a reasonable estimate, then fixed the dryer quickly. Gave me advice on preventing the problem in the future. These guys will always be my first phone call with future appliance problems. The COMPLETE POLAR OPPOSITE from the horrible nightmares I've had with Sears repairs!!!

I gave A-1 a call based on their review here. At about 1:00 pm on a Friday. One of their repair guys happened to be an a neighboring town on a job, came and did the job in under 2 hours. Turns out these old Frigidaire units have a piece of felt with some plastic pieces that is physically glued to the top of the unit which holds the drum in place. This piece had totally degraded and fallen apart. He replaced that (for $55), plus they charge something like $150 per hour, and they had a fee just to show up (roughly $65, which get's dropped if they do a repair). So it ended up costing about $180 (with tax).

I spent $95, which I thought was a good price. They found and repaired the leak. One of the air filters on the top was clogged. They provided excellent service. They were prompt and punctual. They cleaned up after themselves. They knew what they were doing. I was pleased with them and I?d recommend them to others. I?ll certainly use them again.

I called at about 8:30 in the morning. My call was answered by one of the owners and he promised to have someone call me back within 1/2 an hour, which they did. They said they could come between 10AM and 12N. They came shortly before noon. They had the part that was needed right there with them and were able to fix the problem. I thought the price was fair and they were very courteous and professional.

My washer stopped working on Monday and the store that sold it to me couldn't come out for a week. After a few days of a machine full of dirty water getting stinkier, I decided to try and get someone to come sooner. I called this company even though they primarily service a different county. They said they would come out the next day. They called exactly when they said they would, exceeded my expectations by making me the first appointment of the day, arrived exactly on time and went right to work. The tech was very knowledgable, determined the problem quickly, fixed it, educated me on how to prevent future problems and was very clean and professional. He was finished within a half hour.

I e-mailed A1 with a service request, and I received a phone call within two hours (on a Sunday). We scheduled an appointment for the following Sunday, and the repair person called and appeared as discussed. He was prompt, professional, and works very very fast. The entire diagnostic took about 20 minutes, and the repair took another 20 minutes. Within an hour, everything was fixed and placed back into the original position. Aside from the pricing, I am very satisfied with the job. And even with the price, I would consider using them again.
