Contacted the main number and spoke to the owner. Set up a service appt for the next day. I was given specific details as to when someone would come, when I would be contacted and the initial fees assessed but waived if they were able to fix the dryer and we used their company. Adam called me the next day to confirm our appt and time. He was able to detect 3 problems and intelligently explain what happened, what he could do and how much everything would be. He was very well versed in this repair and thankfully was able to fix it right on the spot. Very happy with this company and will DEF use them again. Thank you!!!

The gentleman who answered the phone walked me through a diagnostic procedure with the drum of the machine and told me not to bother with service (which they could have profited from) and instead advised me to go buy a new machine. LOVE honest companies. I will recommend them to anyone looking for appliance service.

Adam was great. He fixed the oven sensor in a few minutes and then looked into the banging noise that my washer was making. Of course when you have the repairman there the noise doesn't happen! Adam suggested that I wait and call them back if the issue persist so i won't have to spend additional money for him to take apart the washer in order to investigate. He may find nothing! Good thing he suggested that, while he was writing up the bill the banging started!!! it was a matter of turning a water valve back on and tightening the hose to stop the leak! WOW!!! not sure I know how the valve was turned off but im glad he suggested I wait!!! it saved me money and him time! I will definitely call again when needed! Adam was professional and very detailed! he explained everything to me and provided options!

Great service. Arrived on time, got right to the jist of the problem. Explained it both technically and plainly. Had part to repair washer right in his truck. Completed the work quickly and efficiently. Very happy and satisfied with the quality of work and the speed in which it was provided. Jeff was very prompt (called with a timing update) and professional. He explained the problems with both drawers clearly and thoroughly. He also was very upfront about whether I needed a new part or could hold out a bit longer as well as being clear that I WOULD need a new part at some point in the future. No surprises and great work all around.

Jeff came the same day I called, even though his father said they were fully booked and probably would not make it to my house till the next day. My dishwasher was leaking and, as usual, the Miele service department was not helpful. Jeff was quickly able to diagnose that the problem was with my disposer, which caused leaking through the dishwasher. He disassembled the dishwasher, drained it, and cleaned the drain. He then went through diagnostics with me. I was very pleased with the encounter. Jeff was smart and polite. He quickly took care of a problem that the Miele service department would have had me wait a week for. I would definitely call A-1 Appliance Repair again.

Adam quickly identified problem. Unfortunately, it took about a week to get a replacement board as the Japanese company who supplied them got wiped out in the tsunami of a few years ago and it appears no one has really picked up the slack, though there is a company in Iowa who is able to rebuild these boards. This was clearly stated so it wasn't a surprise. The board arrived as promised and Adam replaced it. Service was very professional and honest. No hidden costs. No BS. Was it expensive? Don't really know for sure as there's no basis for comparison. But the price quoted was the price paid and, as mentioned, the work was done as scheduled and, as the fridge has been working just fine since, successfully. I wouldn't hesitate to call A-1 again.

Adam called early this morning to arrange a time for the service. He said he would be here between 10 and noon. He called a few minutes before noon to say he was running late. I appreciated the call. He arrived by 12:15. He quickly got to work trying to diagnose the problem. After determining that my high temperature thermostat was not working, he called DCS to make sure there was not something else that might be going on, since my fan was still working. When they assured him that there wasn't he checked his van for the part and replaced it. Adam was professional. The total cost of the repair was $210 plus tax. This included the part and service.

Professional and knowledgeable company. Tried using a GE technician to repair prior to calling A-1 and they could not fix the problem. Keep in mind this is a GE stovetop, and A-1 knew exactly what to do and made great suggestions to avoid future problems. Thanks A-1 again for great reliable service.

Instead of using the LG provider service which was $150 before even being checked we went for A1 since they were local and their great reviews on Angie's List. They were available to come the next day after I called but I had to wait until today due to my schedule. Arrived promptly at 8 and took about an hour. Took apart the whole machine found an unfortunate mouse who shorted the ignition. Replaced part, removed mouse, and put back the now WORKING dryer. Thanks A1 for the A+ service.

They always do the job satisfactorily. But if I recall, there were some issues with my dishwasher that kept happening, but we've used them a number of times. They do a good job. They're thorough. They're easy to schedule. They work around my schedule so that's particularly a good point. Scheduling and flexibility I guess is excellent. They always do the job. They always fix what needed to be fixed.

A-1 diagnosed and repaired a noisy gas dryer. The tech was thorough and very skilled in isolating the issue, had the parts needed, and made repair quickly. He also gave good advice as to symptoms to watch for in the future. Would definitely use them again.

Honesty! The new part alone would cost almost as much as a new machine. This service is to be trusted. I haven't expected such honesty from anyone who bills labor and parts. Thank you!

I called at 11am and there was someone at my house by 4pm. He was polite and explained everything about my stove. I am very appreciative!

My dryer stopped heating up. I left a message on Saturday afternoon, and got a call back early in the evening. He was here the next morning, and was able to quickly diagnose the problem. He had the necessary part with him, and fixed it on the spot. Quick, thorough, and friendly, he also gave me advice on how to prevent the problem from recurring.

Identified the correct part and performed repair on unit that was not designed and built to be easily serviced. This was our second experience with A-1; both with great service at a fair price.

I always use A-1 for my appliance needs. They are always professional and honest. They are prompt and clean up after themselves.

Way too expensive for the work performed.

I was able to easily schedule a service call the following day for them to check out a leaking dish washer and an ice maker which wasn't working. He clearly explained what the charges would potentially be depending on whether he had to take apart the appliances or not. After he arrived on time, he quickly got to work and did everything very fast (almost in a rush, but he did everything well so not a problem). He was able to determine the cause of the leaking dish washer - a loosened screw - by looking underneath and without taking anything apart, so it saved me money. Next, he looked at the ice maker and determined that the whole unit needed to be replaced. After discussing the cost, I agreed to the work and scheduled a follow-up appointment soon after the part came in. Again, he arrived on time and quickly replaced the unit. He was very professional and efficient. We haven't had any problems with the ice maker or dish washer since. I will definitely call him again if we have any appliance problems.

They responded to my call on Sunday evening and set a time for service on Monday. The technician called Monday morning to get an idea of the problem, came as promised, and was prepared with the correct part. He knew exactly what to do, cleaned up, and explained clearly what was entailed. He was courteous and we found him to be knowledgeable.

They did very well, pointed out that the problem was user error so he was very honest and I appreciated that.

Adam was very good, punctual and got the job done, and even came back when the first visit didn't resolve the problem.
