He came out and fixed it for a reasonable price. I would definitely hire them again and I would recommend them as well.

They had done work for me before and were fine but this time around, it's more about communication. I called them first as they had worked here before. The young girls they have answering the phone new nothing about service or pricing. I had a straight forward job and was able to provide photos and measurements and couldn't get a price. They were fixated on the price of the service call and couldn't even tell me if that would be deducted from the price of the work as others often do. Completely clueless. Then when they came up on your site I gave it another shot, but again no one wanted to give me a price, they wanted me to call and talk to the same folks who didn't know anything about the services and prices outside the initial service call. They need to train their staff better because the one that could give me the answers and pricing got the job.

Great--showed up and was very helpful but ended up not needing his service.

This company did a good job. Problem was a bit difficult to pin down, but the repair person persisted and finally got it fixed. The price I paid was very reasonable for the amount of time that it took to fix the problem.

Both service techs were gentleman and professional.

I just got off the phone with Tim, the technician who assisted Glenn on my installation. Today is Jan 2nd, 2016 at 8:30am. My installation was approximately 1 week ago. The door is already not closing properly. In addition, the coils are making a loud screeching sound, and taking on a very strange shape when opening. Tim's goal for this phone call today was clearly to get out of the service appointment, telling me over and over "that's the nature of the beast" and that "the door worked fine when we left you". He took the next few minutes to yell at me and tell me that "you are trying to get something for nothing, I KNOW YOU". Tim, you have met me once. And the only reason he met me is because the original technician took 3 different visits to properly measure my springs. Why it took 3 visits? Who knows, but it did. And each time I had to change my work schedule to be there for them to come. Understandably I was not happy, and requested some discount on the service, for the sheer inconvenience of this all. (which the manager Bob did give, - it was nominal. Still, I appreciated the gesture). Now today, Tim has basically refused to do anything for me "I will come out there, but I'm not touching anything!". He says that the problem is the motor, not the work they did on the springs. However minutes earlier, he told me that the new springs essentially make the door "lighter" and this is why the door isn't closing fully. Wouldn't you think my door should continue to open & close properly only 1 week after they installed the springs? Wouldn't you think this was included in the service warranty that they provide? Apparently not. I am very very unhappy with Tim (who originally was very polite & informative - I don't know what changed). I am also very unhappy with this entire experience.

This was the best service I've ever gotten from anyone for anything. I went to Angies List about 1PM to search for a technician to replace the key pad on my garage door. Two days previous I went to a local company who never even called me back to make an appointment. I booke with Precicion around 1:15PM and the tech was at my house at 2:45PM. Tim was polite, neat and knew exactly what he was doing. He worked quickly and had the job done in minutes. By the way the quoted price was the same as the other company that never called back. I allowed Tim to upsell me on new door springs and the safety device while he was at my house, and everything works fine. I couldn't be happier with the service of Tim O'Brien and Precision Overhead Garage Doors and will recommend them to everyone.

They were very professional. They were thorough with their explanations. We never felt like they were trying to sell us on anything just giving us our options and letting us make our own decision. I definitely recommend their service.

The tune-up and replacement went smoothly. Drew called and showed up on time. Pleasant to speak with and professional. He addressed my concerns and questions with ease. The job was done quickly and proficiently. Will definitely use Precision Overhead Garage Door Service again.

We scheduled an appointment to get an estimate on a new garage door and we were told that technician would arrive between 8 am and 12 pm today. 12 pm came and went. No call from Precision Garage Doors. I called their office and they said the technician was running behind and would be there within a couple of hours. Another two hours passed. No call from Precision. I called again and they said the technician would be there within an hour. Another three hours passed and no technician. Not once did they call on their own to tell me that they were running behind schedule or to give me an accurate estimate on when they would arrive. I wasted an entire day waiting for them to come with no information. I ended up telling the technician that we were going to choose to do business with a competitor instead. Total lack of professionalism and courtesy

two technicians came and they did a tune up. I asked them to please check the remotes to find out what was wrong and repair them. They disconnected the remotes, checked the wire going from the remote to the logic board, checked some other connections at the logic boards and concluded that both logic boards were no good and I needed two new garage door openers,. The cost of purchasing two garage doors were $500 each so I said I will get back to them. I called New Milford Overhead Garage Doors and set up an appt to meet with Michael, the owner/technician. (I think he's the owner). When he came I explained that I was told that both of the garage doors needed new openers and was going to buy a liftmaster from him. He said "let me take a look at them". So he proceeded to disconnect the sensors to make sure they were operable and then checked the wire from the sensors to the logic board. He noticed that one of the wires going to the logic boards was disconnected and the screw that held it in place was removed (on both doors). He got a screw from his truck connected the wires and voila the doors work. So what can I say about Precision? their technicians were presentable and professional and didn't know how to fix the doors. And although it is not of primary importance when they removed the screws from the logic board they didn't replace them. I could have sent $800 on garage door openers that I didn't need and all I had to I spend was money on a service call.

I asked the guy if my garage door can be lifted up a little because its saggy. He said only option I have is to replace the door and quoted me $2000 for the door. I said home depot gave me better quote and he said then you can go with home depot and charged me $74 as service fee for not doing any service. Beware of these guys!!!! Service fee they charge you is just for them to come out and give you a quote for new door or may be new motor and not for doing any service. I dont know how these people are still in market. Anyways one big mistake for me and will never again.

My husband and I were very impressed with how the serviceman explained what he had to replace and how our friend had really not known how to install it. He said we didn't need a new door, but the cables and springs, etc. had to be replaced. We just had it done, but, it is quiet and works beautifully! What a relief. They came within two days and it only took about one hour to do all that work. Thanks to Precision for explaining clearly what and why it had to be done. They were prompt and arrived exactly on time.

Came right away. Were professional and did a great job. Just thought the price was too high to replace springs and adjust cables on two doors. However the price was offset by the service so I would definitely use them again!!!

For such short notice, Precision arrived at the appointed time, which came as a complete surprise, as I was given a three hour window. I expected an arrival time later rather than early, and the tech arrived before I could get home. As per above this was a great job and I would highly recommend Precision to anyone who needs garage door repair.

Installers showed up on time, very friendly and informative on installation process and how system works. Have had electric door openers and many friends and neighbors have them. This installation is one of the best, perfectly balanced, no vibration. Previously had double garage doors with Sears installation, units probably comparable but this is a much better installation.

I bought the garage door tune-up service through Angie's List. A few days after the purchase, I called them and was able to schedule an appointment for the same day. They did the tune-up, but also pointed out a few places in the garage door mechanism that obviously needed fixing. They were able to perform the fix on the same day as well. Overall, I am very satisfied!

The technician (Scott M) was very thorough and explained all of the items which were in need of repair. He replaced all of the items and the door works like new. Very happy with the quality of work and professionalism of the technician. Would highly recommend if you need any repair work on your garage door.

Came as promised. I think they did quality work. Very, very expensive, I am certain I was overcharged. However, I had to get the work done.

The work was okay. We called a few people initially. They were good monitoring people. The people who came out to do the work were good. They were fast and finished the job quickly and correctly. I have a reservation about them. I think they play good marketing. Their price may be higher. They are okay.
