We started our pool project in March 2021 with the expectation, set by the sales representative, that "fiberglass is a quick install" and we would be "swimming by August 2021." However, by August 2021, we had heard nothing from Picture Perfect about the installation. The installation finally began in May 2022, but it was far from quick. It took over three months before we could use the pool, and it was a challenge every step of the way. We dealt with disgruntled managers, work continuing through holiday weekends like July 4th, and long delays getting the work done and stalling progress over the summer. Our sales representative also recommended a waterline tile, which we thought would add personality to the pool. We signed the contract expecting the tile to be installed at the factory. To our surprise, the pool was delivered and installed without the tile. Heading into winter 2022, we were shopping for pool covers and had a reputable company come out for a quote. The representative asked peculiar questions like, "Does this pool have a leak?" and ultimately didn't want to take the job due to their concerns. I didn't think much of it because the pool was brand new. During the summer of 2023, we finally had the opportunity to use the pool, but something seemed off. I reached out to the fiberglass manufacturer for clarification but never heard back. It seemed like the pool wasn't level in the ground, which raised concerns in my mind about eventually adding the waterline tile. After months of waiting and numerous phone calls and emails to Picture Perfect, the team finally agreed to install our tile. In late fall 2023, the team came out to do the work. They drained the pool and the installer realized it wasn't level in the ground. I was asked if we wanted a "level pool" and if they should fix it. Of course, I wanted a level pool. Why would they install an uneven pool in the first place? The pool was so uneven that the tile was completely out of the water on one side by three full tile heights and completely submerged on the other, with less than one tile visible. This would have looked awful. We agreed to level the pool, or so we thought, but the team only worked on one side and apparently without a level, as the rest of the pool remained uneven. We were also informed that the team would bring out new bullnose for the pool coping, but they only replaced a few, compromising the integrity of the coping as blocks from different lots are different. As a homeowner, I never thought it was my responsibility to stand over the team and micromanage every part of the job, especially the leveling of a pool. So, in late fall, with "expensive tile" and "expensive mastic" to adhere the tile, the team worked in the bitter cold. Needless to say, with an uneven pool and cold mastic, the tile looks awful, and so does the pool. Additionally, it appears the team used the wrong glue behind the clear tile. One side of the pool, tiled on day one, is very white with a haze underneath, while the other side, tiled on day two, is clear. I originally thought the tile hadn't dried correctly, but in March 2024, while cleaning the pool, I discovered a tile in the water with a huge glob of white caulk on the back, indicating the use of the incorrect product. After "leveling" the pool and installing the tile, which looks awful because it's uneven, light on one side and dark on the other, and with big gaps around the coping, the pool was filthy. Given the work around the pool, we couldn't put the cover on last season. The pavers were uneven and we were missing pins, so the cover would have been laying in the pool and not secure. Come Spring 2024, the team refused to clean it on my initial request but finally came out and did a half-baked job. Picture Perfect argued that it settled on its own, but this is not the case. During this time, I was able to connect with the manufacturer of the pool, and they shared with me, which confirmed my suspicions about the poor installation and leveling issues. Overall, our experience with Picture Perfect Pools has been extremely disappointing. The project was delayed by over a year, the installation was poorly executed, and the customer service was lacking. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking to install a pool.

Be careful when dealing with Picture Perfect! We chose this company to do two handyman projects – remove a small section of chain link fence and repair a shed. When Joel, the Picture Perfect rep, was here we had shown him the shed, which needed extensive exterior work including new shingles, door repair, and paint. He didn’t write anything down while he was discussing this project but we thought he knew what we wanted. The description on the proposal we received read “Repair shed, remove rotted wood and dump. Replace with same material, outdoor bead board and paint. Install gravel, fabric, slate stepping stones in the front of the door”. As you can see in the picture what they actually did was work on the front of the shed and put the slate stepping stones. The roof is the worst part of our shed and what we wanted repaired most of all. We also wanted the whole shed painted. Picture Perfect did not paint the sides or back walls of the shed and not touch the shingles at all despite us having discussed it. We now need to hire someone else to finish the repair. Initially we considered using Picture Perfect to put new landscaping in the front of the house. The landscaping proposal was VERY general (e.g. 20 perennials, 4 fill plants) with no way to visualize the final product. We requested a sketch and Picture Perfect agreed….but they never provided anything. We made the decision not to use Picture Perfect for the landscaping. I’ve learned a few hard (and expensive) lessons dealing with these folks. Make sure the quote you are getting is super detailed, don’t assume, like us, that what you discussed is being done if it is not there exactly. Tie them down to a date unless you don’t care when the work gets done. Be ready to be on them constantly for updates as they are never going to communicate to you on their own.

Very pleased with the outcome. Picture Perfect worked with and shaped our design concept which was executed well. Everyone we dealt with was very professional. I recommend them.
