Description of Work: No work was done. Salesman came to my home one time, stayed for about 10-15mins and provided the quote. We never received the 3-D rendering as advertised.. So to be honest, it was a waste of $270.

Schedule The contractor began demolition on Wednesday, January 14, and while there was a one-week period where he could not work because of a window install, overall the work has been sporadic and inconsistent. This is the 14th week this contractor has had this job! We met two weeks ago to define a schedule to get the job completed, and almost none of what he promised was completed. I have made some changes and additions (all of which have been paid for as change orders) but nothing that would account for this incredibly slow pace of work. Quality of Work The biggest challenge is that the workers on the job keep changing. A job is started by one worker and finished by another. No one is communicating information to the workers and so things are done incorrectlyand have to be redone. For example a pocket door frame was installed in one location which I agreed to, by one worker, but another worker arrived a month later and made changes, moving it 3 inches, not the end of the world, but this has been happening for 14 weeks. Thus far I would say the quality of the work is good, but not great. Although the tile installer was exceptional...best I've seen. I will write a final review with pictures when the job is completed, but I'm not sure it will be this contractor completing it!
Description of Work: I hired Broadway Kitchens and Bath to do a gut renovation on a one-bedroom coop apartment in Fort Lee NewJersey. The renovation included a whole new bathroom and kitchen removing and reconfiguring closets, all new baseboards, doors and trim, a drop ceiling with new recessed lighting, and a skim coat and paint job.

My husband and I waited years to renovate our kitchen. We met with and paid many home designers and architects but kept hearing about so many people’s experiences that ended badly and were thus very nervous to launch our project. When we spoke with Jeff at Broadway Kitchen and Bath, we really felt that we were in good hands. His team were so knowledgeable, worked within our budget, had great design ideas and everyone on their team made the project a complete success from beginning to end. They completely exceeded our expectations. From picking out granite to a masterful kitchen/sunroom design, we just couldn't be happier. Everyone who sees the renovation says it has transformed the house! We give a very enthusiastic “two thumbs up” and unequivocally recommend anyone to hire BKB! We can never thank Jeff, Scott and the entire Broadway Kitchen and Baths team enough! - Matt and AnnMarie Massie

The person was pleasant and professional and gave me a descriptive estimate of the work that was competitive and in a timely manner.
Description of Work: I only called them in for a review & estimate to renovate my kitchen and bath. Broadway was one of 4 contractors I called. Their quote was in the ball park of my budget. I went with another contractor and so far am pleased with my choice.
Jeff, Carmi and their team surpassed our expectations. The team was very talented with the initial design and made excellent recommendations for finishes etc. throughout the project. They have great insight and provided great recommendations to improve our project. We especially appreciated that they were on budget and there were no hidden charges or fees along the way. They actually did a little more work then we contracted for. They replaced the moldings around the window and door that were taken away during the demolition, but went a step further and replaced the remaining molding in the room to ensure everything matched. Their workmen/tradesmen were talented craftsmen, extremely hard working and always on site when they said they would be. They delivered our dream kitchen and we would heartily recommend Canac/Broadway Kitchens and Baths to anyone looking for high quality, great design and a reliable company (hard to find). They are a thoroughly professional company which we really value.
Description of Work: Included in the cost was demo to the studs and floor joists, new flooring, electric and plumbing as well as new cabinets and marble counter tops.

Very poorly, the personnel we contacted were not interested in seeing the bathroom to be remodeled and concentrated, instead on pressing for decisions on small details such as faucets rather than discussing the bathroom remodel project. We did not follow up after a couple of initial visits since they seemed only minimally interested.
Description of Work: Visited the showroom in Stamford CT to get proposal for remodeling our bathroom.

Response from Broadway Kitchens & Bath
Please accept my sincere apology for any inconvenience you may have experienced while visiting our designer showroom. I have looked into the situation and found out that the sales associate you worked with had only been with us a short time and was not completely familiar with our policies and procedures. Being both a retail store offering a great variety of materials for purchase and a Kitchen and Bath Design/Renovation Specialist with the ability to provide labor and project management makes us a little different than most retail stores. It sounds like the associate was simply trying to provide you with the best retail showroom experience possible and may not have clarified our policy regarding our in home design consultation. Due to the amount of time and effort we put into our design consultations, prior to scheduling this type of an appointment or making a home visit, we require the client to provide us with a monetary design retainer and sign a design retainer agreement. She may have also been confused regarding how to move forward based on an email received on 9-7-12 that stated " I am totally slammed at the office, and about to go away on a couple of trips. As a result , the bathroom project is backburnered and I expect it to be for some time. I will contact you if I have questions. Thanks" If you are still considering the renovation project please contact us again, ask for Scott and I will personally assist you. If you have already completed the project I hope if went well and the final product meet all you expectations.

All went in well and painlessly, which in home remodeling, was a welcome change! I would use him again. In fact, I wished I had used him for the cabinets instead of the vendor we used. Will next time.
Description of Work: Jeff supplied and installed a Cambria quartz countertop in our kitchen. Reasonable person to work with. A very common-sense approach. Had a good knowledge of the product line and related products (tiles for backsplash). Got a beautiful countertop that was properly installed on time, Jeff adjusted for some last minute changes. Did not try to oversell us on the backsplash. While he was capable of high-end, designer type stuff, he worked with us to get maximum value without the high-design nonsense we were not interested in.
