+ 1 moreThey use cheap material. The posts holding the deck are shifting. Never came back to correct this. They damaged the ceiling below the roof with the nails. The roof deck overhang is not properly done, birdnest can get under the overhang.
Description of Work: Repaired and Replaced the roof deck with fiberglass. Replaced railings.

+ -1 moreI was very impressed with South Shore. Before getting an estimate from them I had been told many different stories about my roof. I decided to get a home inspection done in pursuit of the truth. South shore immediately offered to communicate with the home inspector and review the inspection report so they could address all areas of concern. The employees were super friendly. The owner was very responsive. He would check his emails and respond EVERY morning. I felt that I could trust him from the get go. I could tell that doing a good job and charging a fair price was important to him and that company longevity via a spotless reputation was a goal. They guaranteed the work they did when I was told by others no way unless we do the whole roof for 20k. These types of situations are scary for a homeowner but South Shore really took care of the situation. THANK YOU South Shore. Definitely referring you guys!

Description of Work: South Shore Contractors helped me with a total restoration of my home. |They performed work that was relevant to their core expertise of roofing , drywall, bath , bedroom , and preparation work required to provide a solid foundation for finished carpentry , natural hardwood bamboo and tile flooring installation , new kitchen , walls , ceiling etc.. |South Shore referred me to reputable contractors who specialized in work that was not their core expertise which exemplifies that South Shore truly has their customer's best interest in mind. |The restoration was completed 7 years ago and our home is still better than new . |

+ -1 moreI was really disappointed when the representative came with an estimate that was written as a draft. I called and requested an official proposal with all of the details. He told me that he would do that, two weeks have passed and he hasn't gotten back to me. I also told him that his draft price was several thousand dollars higher than some other proposals that I received, he said he would review it and get back to me, once again he hasn't. Also on his handwritten draft it was broken down into two seperate and quot;projectsand quot;, I don't understand why when it was all one job, all other estimates were all inclusive of all work to be done, roof, gutters, fascia, etc. In fairness I can't give a good rating for the above reasons .

Description of Work: I was told by the owner's daughter that he got my messages but he has not gotten back to me. I waited until past dinner time yesterday for his call and never heard from him. It has been one week now. I had spoken with his workers and with his daughter and they both informed me that the message was received, I have yet to hear anything.
