It went amazing. They arrived a little earlier than they stated. He came in and checked the chimney and went outside to check where the nest was and if anything had access to get in. He told me the chimney was perfectly clean and showed me a video from his phone of how clean it was. Then he told me we had a protector on top to prevent the birds from getting in so they could not get in, they had made a nest on top. He said our chimney was safe and I had no worries and there would be no charge! I couldn't believe no charge, even for driving all the way out. Definitely use this business... they are honest and that is hard to fine.

Absolutely great. Even when the initial replacement stucco did not match the old stucco in color, Davis brothers repainted perfectly to match.

The work was done over a two day period. The techs were prepared, on time and personable. They were very professional, neat and made sure to clean up after each operation. Since the work was completed we have found that we are burning less wood and getting more heat. The draw is excellent and we no longer get any smoke when we open the stove to replenish the wood. The original price was $4800.00 but we were given a senior citizen discount of $480.00 (10%).

They didn't bring the right color paint, and I waited 3 days for them to get back in touch with me. I did pay them $100 to clean the chimney, and it was a joke. They didn't repair or paint the chimney crown like they said they would. I wouldn't recommend them, their quality of work has gone down since I first used them in 2012.

Quoted me almost $4000 for chimney work and I got another quote from another company who stated I didn't need any major work and it only cost me $950.00 I feel they totally mislead me.

Went to start a fire, a few days after they were here and smoke filled the room. Called the company, who agreed something was wrong. The owner came out, listened to my problem and said that can happen when the stove is old. He didn't seem to want to examine the chimney or the stove. I asked how can cast iron go bad and he said it can and suggested a new wood stove which they could get for me. After he left I checked with some people who said a blocked chimney is what causes the smoke to enter the room. It was unlikely that the stove itself was bad. I then went up on the roof with a friend and ran the brush down the pipe and noticed it wouldn't go all the way down. Shinned a light down the pipe and couldn't see the bottom. Came inside and tried to run a snake up from the stove and a massive amount of creosote broke loose. After much probing, we were able to see daylight and feel cool air. Went back up on the roof and ran the wire brush down the length of the pipe, now being able to run the brush down the entire pipe, and filled the stove with creosote. Bottom line is I should have saved my money and done the job myself. I can't believe they told me my chimney was clean and safe and then the owner, instead of checking the stove , just recommended a new stove which would have cost over $2000.00. I will not use them again and sorry to say I have recommended them to a couple of people. If you use them, please check their work before they leave. I have called the company and reported my findings and feelings.

Great! We originally had called the company to have our chimney cleaned. After their inspection they made recommendations for the above work. It made perfect sense to us since the fireplace was built in 1971 and we use it all the time. They originally had scheduled the job for a day and a half and it took less time. They were extremely helpful and courteous. I plan on using them to clean our chimney in the future.

I recently moved into a home that had a chimney leaning away from the home. The home inspector mentioned in his report that if it leans any further, it would need to be taken down. My Homeowner's Insurance Co however, had a totally different point of view. They sent me a Cancellation Letter, as it posed a risk and was indeed unsafe. Needless to say, this was quite upsetting. Thankfully I found the Davis Bros on Angie's List. From my first call to Hank, who is Awesome, to both Brothers Chris and John, I was reassured and in Competent, Professional hands. All the paperwork I needed to deal with The insurance Co was provided. My Angie"s discount was applied after the estimate, as I had forgotten to mention it and Hank took care of it. The work was done on time and as promised and left in great shape. It was a Pleasure dealing with the Brothers, both Hard Working, Friendly and Knowledgeable. I Very Highly recommend the Davis Bros, they have been in the business for 5 generations and their Expertise shows!!!

Excellent service and professionalism. Their prices are reasonable and their technicians first-rate I would highly recommend Davis Brothers. Even though I did have a problem with a repair, due to a faulty part; Davis Brothers came back immediately, diagnosed the problem and prompltly repaired the defect with an upgraded part for no additional charge.

They do chimneys and masonry work. We've used them in the past and we were happy. We just re-contacted them again for some more work. We've actually talked to them twice and twice they were supposed to get us the estimates which we haven't received yet. There is nothing we quite dislike except this time since they haven't dropped off the estimate yet and that kind of irritates me but I'm a little more patient than my wife. She tells me they haven't come by again, that she called them again and they said they would but they didn't come by again. I don't know if this is a too small of a job for them that they just don't want to be bothered with it. They did a nice job when they re-pointed the chimney for us. We were very happy with it because it was getting to that crumbling stage and they brought it back to life. I don't have anything to compare their price to. We tried to find somebody who does pointing and fix some old stones but a lot of people apparently don't do that. These were the only people that showed up going to North Jersey because that is where most of the other people were that seemed to have these kind of skills. We didn't think that was going to be smart because they had to drive two hours down here. They were good with punctuality. The last time they came and worked when they said they were and they did not stop till they finished. We were quite happy with them which is why we called them back. We hope to hear from them soon.

We removed two trees at the end of our patio in order to have a shed built. We discovered that the company that put in the raised patio simply back filled under the end of the patio where the trees were and the fill was eroding away. We called several places and got answering machines. How refreshing when Davis Masonry actually answered the phone! They scheduled an appointment and they showed up on time, saying they could help. Now we needed it done fast due to the shed being delivered and they fir us in right away. It was a small job in the grand scheme of things but they brought three guys did the work in about four hours and if you look at it today, you would never know that it was done years after the original work. A VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE from start to finish.

Michael and Daniel arrived on time and completed the job in one day. It was a big job and I advised them that I would be agreeableif they needed to return to finish it. They accomplished the job and I'm inviting them back for other chimney services.

This was one of the most impressive repair experiences we have had in the thirty-plus years in this house. First impressions always set the tone for any interaction. Mr Davis arrived exactly on time for the original evaluation and estimate. He fully explained the plan and provided a detailed written estimate.Once given approval, the work was started as scheduled, done professionally, and completed on time. Care was always given to making minimal impact to all other areas of the property.Davis Bros need to be considered by anyone in need of any repair of this type. I hope someone from their company reads this review and sees how much we appreciate the entire experience.

They were timely, polite, and did an excellent job. I was very pleased with the service I recieved.

Davis Brothers were prompt on the day they came to give us the estimate. They inspected our chimney, told us exactly what needed to be done and left a detailed estimate with us. A senior citizen discount was available and their office called to give us the discount and tell us that we were on the schedule for September 19th unless we decided otherwise. On Monday, September 19th they arrived in the morning and did all of the first day's work. On Tuesday, September 20th they once again arrived in the morning to work on completing the work. Today (Wednesday, Sept. 21st), they once again arrived in the morning, completed the work and as it was supposed to rain, covered the chimney so the stucco paint (?)/sealer would not get wet. They will be returning Monday, September 26th to remove the cover. In addition, they gave us a Five (5) year warranty, but also said that even if a problem occurred after that time, they would fix it. Davis Brothers Masonry and Chimney Sweep is a wonderful company. I just can't say enough about how professional and dependable they are. An A++ Company!!
