VONAGE

It's been fine. I didn't really want a land line (haven't had one for a decade), but I have awful cell reception in my home. I looked at bundling with Comcast (who provides internet), but Vonage was cheaper, and the quality has been fine. I have no complaints.

Vonage has been able to do everything through their website. They have a very good customer desk sort of thing. It's been easy to navigate and it's self explanatory.

Vonage is my landline provider. It is my home phone and it is plugged in. It's over the Internet and what appealed to me from the get go was that you pay a flat rate to any call to North America. I get it on autopay. I pay $ 37 a month. I can call anybody and don't get socked for the phone call. It's totally flat rate. I don't know how it works if you want to call Europe or Asia or South America. I don't know if that's a flat charge or a minute rate because I never had the need for using it. It does comes with voice mail. I never had to deal with customer service, person to person. I basically signed up and got the account going. The service experience that I had was very good. I never had a call lost of anything like that. I have been happy with the overall service.

I have recommended it to most of my family members. They are wonderful. I can take that phone number anywhere in the United States which is my major advantage.

Vonage is terrific and it works.

Vonage is awesome. I have Verizon in the rest of my home and Vonage is way better. It's also a lot less expensive.

I was a huge fan and promoter of Vonage and had been a customer for a year and a half. I wanted to save money--and found I was no longer using the phone line (had Vonage on my land line--I use my cell phone much more). When I called to disconnect (just about the only thing you cannot do on the internet) they tried to retain my business (which I respect) by keeping me on the phone for 12 minutes or so by giving me other offers. Finally when they accepted my request to disconnect it was revealed that my original agreement had been a TWO YEAR agreement, and hit me with a $46 cancellation fee (including taxes). My feedback to you is to consider lowering or eliminating your disconnect fee, it certainly has soured me on what was otherwise a pretty good Vonage experience.

The service has been good however; I use my cell phone for everything.

At this point, I am very disappointed in Vonage's customer service and have cancelled my order simply because it is so difficult to get to talk to a customer service representative. I always have to be on hold at least for a while (most recently 23 mins.)and when I am in contact with an operator, they have been difficult to understand due to heavy accents (every time). Unfortunately, being a phone operator is an essential position in which to have strong English skills. Despite the much reduced cost of Vonage, it might not be worth it if it's never working! If every time something goes wrong, it is going to be this difficult to get things fixed, it is NOT WORTH IT. I have spent the weekend without phone service and that tells me Vonage is not very interested in getting my business (and thus will probably not be very likely to be interested in keeping it). Their have been multiple obstacles for OVER a MONTH trying to get their service!

The process was very easy. Ordered our primary number to be tranferred from SBC to Vonage online. The process took about 15 min online. The phone adapter arrived 3 days later with a temporary number. Vonage did all the work with SBC to transfer the existing number. Voice mail is email enabled to it will notify you of vm via email or deliver vm to email via a wave file. No additional charges for unlisted. Very easy to use for someone with basic computer skills at 1/2 the price of SBC.

WE BOUGHT OUR SYSTEM AT CIRCUIT CITY AND HOOKED IT UP. WE'VE ONLY HAD ONE ISSUE SINCE WE'VE BOUGHT IT AND SERVICE IS CHEAP AND AT THE SAME LEVEL OF OTHER TELEPHONE SERVICES.
