Thompson Roof Cleaning & Powerwashing

It was a pleasure working with Thompson from the estimate to the scheduling to the wash itself. The results were better than I hoped for! Soooo happy!!!

Work was done quickly. Cleaned everything well.

They were prompt and efficient. Offered us the additional service of gutter polishing once they were here. It was not a hard sell approach, but they gave a demo of the difference it made and that was enough to convince us. Made the job look even more professional.

I received a return call from Ed who requested that I text him with photos of the deck as he was unable to come out and give an estimate, even though he is only one town away. I sent the photos and added in the text that I also wanted an estimate for power washing the house. I never heard from him, and approximately one week later I sent him another text. It is nearly 3 weeks and he has never replied. Very Unprofessional -- esp. for a contractor on Angie's list!! Beware!

They were extremely prompt in answering me and setting up a time to come out. They did an amazing job and my house looked pristine. They didn't cut any corners. Prices were reasonable and they even offered to come back for free if the moss didn't come off my roof after a few months. You could tell they cared about their customers. Definitely recommend them!

Ed acknowledged my request for a quote with an estimate promptly. Scheduling was easy to fix a mutually convenient date. Ed followed up to ensure the appointment two days earlier. Sebastian and Mario knocked at the door prompts at said hour afternoon. We surveyed the property together and aligned estimate to expectations. Sebastien and Mario were the coolest people given the Indian Summer of 100+ degrees of heat. Arranged some cold water with ice. They completed the work without rushing through - which is key to their work ethics! Started off with cleaning the gutter, took out unused bird's nest at a corner and spray washed the roof. Then they moved on with use wash / siding / windows. As I saw, first-hand, how the roof and hope exterior was shaping up and pavers didn't match the outlook, wished the pavers were cleaned up too. As an add-on to the estimate, the pavers were taken care of. We are truly happy with the work that Sebastian and Mario pulled off by the end of day. We did our honor in return for their work. The house exterior looks great and enjoyed our brand new patio right away. Thanks to Angie's List...Thompson is a great find. We wish them good luck and hope they would be around for a long time...my next call for similar work will be to them. They are easy to do business with.

Sebastion and Mario arrived promptly and explained everything thoroughly to me and my neighbors who were getting their homes power washed as well. They walked us thru process, explained expectations and then began the task of cleaning all three homes. They worked fast and were spot on with the results! I could not have been more pleased with results and my neighbors were happy as well. I recommend this company without hesitation!

Sebastian and Mario arrived promptly and did an excellent job washing our large house, pool deck/patio, walkways and retaining wall. Important side note: When the gentleman came out for the estimate, he actually told me the roof didn't need cleaning. How refreshing is that? I didn't know better and would've overpaid had he not been honest. As it turns out, he underestimated the amount of time it would take to clean everything, so the $650 price (plus tax) should've been higher to account for the actual time it took. The guys did not ask for more money or take any shortcuts. I did pay them a little extra b/c I thought it was the right thing to do, but again, they did not ask or act as if I owed them anything. We just got to talking, as I knew they were there a lot longer than scheduled. Bottom line: Professional workers did excellent work at a fair price. I would use this company again, and I have no hesitation recommending them to others. I'm just sorry I didn't write this review a year ago!

The crew arrived on time. This powerwashing is apparently a two part process, first part spray the house with a detergent type solution, second part rinse it off. Because an exterior electrical outlet was not protected during the first spray, the outlet experienced damage which tripped the circuit breaker. When circuit breaker was reset after they were done, flames shot out of the outlet slightly damaging the vinyl escutcheon surrounding the outlet. When I called Thompson, Ed was very apologetic and to be completely fair he had a service man come the next day to replace the damaged outlet with a new one. I was okay with that - things happen. However a few days later I noticed some shrubbery was dropping a lot of leaves. This was after I specifically confirmed with him that greenery would not be damaged and was assured it would not. When I told Thompson of the damage he said he would replace the shrubs in any way I wanted, either he do it, I do it or have my landscaper do it. Well, as nice as Thompson was on the phone, I'd seen enough and I wasn't going to do it myself. I want it done professionally as we are just about to put our house on the market and don't want a cheap looking job. When I gave the landscaper quote to Thompson, I got push back on the price saying it seemed to be too high and he requested photos to show proof. This I did. But now I am unwilling to pursue what I fear has started to turn into a negotiation. And since our realtor advised not replacing the shrubs as it would look worse with little shrubs we are leaving them. The benefit of using Angie's List is finding people who have ratings and experiences with contractors. I would be remiss if I did not add my experience.

Thety came cleaned the house, cleaned up after themselves and left the house better they when they came. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

The men came on the date and time we scheduled and explained the job and treatment for moss on the roof. Guarantees roof treatment. I was told it could take up to 90 days for all the moss to be gone. Still had some small spot after 90 days and he came the very next day after I contacted him and treated roof again. Roof and house looks great! Ed is very nice to deal with and stands behind his work. Am very pleased with the job and recommend him highly.

Sebastian and Louis arrived exacting at 8:30 am and began to set up for the job. Both fellows were extremely knowlegable and explained the entire power washing process to me. I recently installed a new patio in my backyard and was concerned if the washing solution could somehow mar the finish on the patio stone. Sebastian assured the wash solution would cause no damage. To ensure this Louis consistently hosed the entire patio with clean hose water, rinsing the patio stones as Sebastian power washed the back of the house. The house now looks brilliantly clean. After completing the entire project they even placed all my patio furniture back in place. I am extremely satisfied with their work and would recommend them to any customer needing the same type of service.

Called company on 08/21 to schedule an appointment for an estimate. The lady who answered took my name, number and address and said someone would call me to schedule an appointment shortly. I missed their call later that evening. They called at 7:40PM and did not leave a message. I called their local number the next day and got an answering machine but did not leave a message. I then called their 800 number thinking I would get a live person and a gentleman answered and told me that this number is their answering service only and that he would have someone call me right away. I gave him my first name and he said "Oh, yes this is for (he read off my address)" Weird how he knew who I was just by my first name. It is now 08/26 and I have not heard a word from them. I have moved on to another company who scheduled an appointment to come out the very next day. Sorry Thompson Roof Cleaning, you just lost a customer. UPDATE: I received an email from the owner Ed Thompson explaining why I was not contacted. I have amended my review due to the extenuating circumstances he had specified. Unfortunately, I have already scheduled another company for the work. I am open to using them when the need arises in the future.

Outstanding service start to finish.

Anthony was amazing. Since the exterior of the home is a bit older, he took a lot of care to ensure that the process was gentle enough to not take away the paint. He also explained everything that he was doing. He was extremely polite, professional and prompt!

I am very happy I called this company to clean my house. The workers sent out by this company were extremely polite and professional. With regards to the work, I cannot say enough good things about them. They cleaned every detail of the exterior of my home and it looks great! I had mildew and mold growing on the siding and a lot of stuck on dust and dirt. They did it all! They cleaned the bricks, the siding, the window frames, sills, doors, you name it - they cleaned it. They were extremely careful of my plants and landscaping. Also, the price was very good for doing a whole house. I will be sure to use them again. It was well worth the money and time saved versus me doing a lesser job myself. Instead, I sat back and enjoyed the show with a cold drink. Regards, Steven M.

They were actually a little early, which i prefer instead of late. They cleaned the house and all the black off gutters. My house looks like it was just sided. They were courteous and professional. Job took 2 hours. Very happy.

Very pleased with the services provided. Ed the owner was very informative on his procedures and Sebastian and Anthony who did the work were on time and did great with both the work and the cleanup. They even cleaned the roof on an outside building on my premises, cleaned the foundation of my house, both at no extra cost. I did get pricing on one other Roof Cleaning Business which was comparable, but chose Thompson's because they don't use a powerful force of water in cleaning the roof. They rely on their fungus killing shampoo. My roof is over 20 years old and was a little skeptical on using a strong power wash.

They were very prompt. I had originally just had them come in because I had mold on the roofing and they were doing the special wash and they did guarantee it and they told me how long it would take for it to work. They were very specific and explained everything and then when they offered the power wash to the house, the explained exactly what they were using and how they were doing it. They were very efficient and the work turned out beautiful. All the molds were off the roof and it took the amount of time that he said. The house came out looking sparkling clean.

These guys are fantastic. Gave me an estimate over the phone (using google). They arrived as scheduled and my roof looks amazing! Like it was just put on. My neighbor had the same problem (fungus) as I did and when they were finished with my house they were able to give him an estimate (very fair) and did his roof as well.
