I hired Power Home Remodeling to replace 13 windows of which several had to be replaced 2x in the past 9 years. Apparently direct sunlight causes the window seals to break, creating large silver streaks in the glass panes and compromising the energy efficiency. This was a known issue when I called the warranty depart. and then, years before the pandemic, took many months for new sashes to be delivered and several months out to install. Also, the excuses then were not enough technicians/installers, PHRG was not working in the area, etc…. With my recent ask to replace the windows for a second time, it’s been close to 1 1/2 years, and now 6 months out to schedule an installer to come to my house. This time the excuses are the pandemic, delays and material shortages. PHRG sold an inferior product and is now unable to provide the support on their ‘lifetime’ warranty. I would not recommend PHRG for replacing windows or any other home improvement project.

Thank you for taking the time time to write this review. We apologize for any undue frustration you’ve experienced during your project and will work with you to resolve all of your concerns as quickly as possible. After looking into the details of your project, we can see that your service appointment has already been scheduled - we are confident that during this appointment we will be able to resolve your outstanding concerns. As you know, our manufacturing partners are still navigating the difficult circumstances brought on by the pandemic and current economic situation, resulting in longer-than-expected delivery timelines for productions. We are working aggressively with them to diminish these delivery timelines, but there is still progress that needs to be made. Again, for that inconvenience, we sincerely apologize. While our goal is to deliver a flawless remodeling experience, rest assured that when you partner with Power on a remodeling project, you are partnering with a company that does right by its customers and will work with you long after the installation to ensure your satisfaction. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please give our Customer Care team a call at (888) 736-6335, option 4 at the prompt.

One gutter installed 6 yr ago created a leak that rotted the roof sheathing under the shingles. Warranty department confirmed improper installation, but refuses to repair damage, claiming that roof age now is the problem. They don't stand behind their work.

After looking into the details of your project, I can see that we honored our warranty and ran a service appointment that addressed your outstanding concerns regarding your gutter install. These concerns, however, are entirely separate from the issue you’re experiencing with your roof and in no way caused your roof leak or the subsequent rotting of your roof sheathing. A roofing installation should never be contingent upon the performance of a gutter. Roofs are installed with underlayment and shingles that need to cover the entire decking surface in weather-board fashion. In this case, the company that installed your roof did not provide the proper amount of coverage to your decking surface, as there was clearly exposed roof decking that is the root cause of the roofing damage your home incurred. Gutters are an entirely separate drainage system that sits independent of the roof. If you have any other questions or concerns please reach out to our Customer Care department at customerservice@powerhrg.com or 888-736-6335, option 4 at the prompt.

Horrible customer service support. Window seal broke after 6 years of installation, filed for warranty claim. Waited 15 months nothing happened, manufacture delayed they said. I filed a BBB complaint hopefully I’ll get some answers.. if nothing happens next will be the small claims courts.

If you are considering using this company based on the door to door soliciting and power pitch Stop yourself immediately . In my 40 years of home projects they are the worst in every way - service - cleanup and quality . The pitch looks strong the inspection seems professional and then boom Your install occurs with a mess to clean up and the quality of the product is inferior . Of course you call well good luck ad it’s been 2 months since I am able to speak to a qualified service person and they gave me an appt in March 2023 to review my quality issues in person

If Power Home Remodeling comes to your door, specifically for windows, close it as fast as you can. They do not keep their appointments (which was schedule in June) and do not call you to let you know as you wait for them to arrive. Then, when you call to find out where they are, you are told to call and reschedule and are given a date another 5 months out for a warranty fix. On top of it, windows are 12-15 months out once they are ordered (if they ever get ordered).
Description of Work: Warranty repairs and three faulty windows need to be replaced. The seals are broken.

They finished our siding September of 2021. During the process they broke our fence and in an attempt to make a quick fix, they cut pieces of the fence off so the door could close. ( it is very difficult to close) Our siding started bowing almost immediately and has not been fixed. Tools had been left in our gutters and pieces of our roofing have subsequently come off. We discovered a hole that directly leads outside from our kitchen. Besides the terrible work they provided, they also stole $400 of lumber for which they said they would return to us but never have. All of these issues were brought to their attention and we patiently waited 6 months for them to get someone to come and look at our concerns. As the appointment time came closer they called us to cancel and scheduled the appointment an additional 6 months out. Since September 2021 none of their shortcomings have been addressed. Sales people came to the house and we addressed our issues with them. They said they would contact their supervisors and still nothing. I am posting this review on every review site I can find. Please respond to them as I am looking to see if these people scam and steal from others like they scammed and stole from my family. If I receive enough responses I am looking to start a class action lawsuit.

Every home owner eventually needs (or will need) a new roof. Expense is one of the driving factors that usually determines the vendor BUT a more economical long range decision should be made based on quality. Quality of product, installation and service are essential components of this decision. This is why we chose to go with Power for our new roof and gutters. EVERY interaction with each employee was customer-centric. They patiently listened to our requirements and concerns and then offered effective solutions during and throughout the entire process. (The warranty was also the best available.) Power is a large company with multiple locations across the country, ours was headquartered in Maryland but the work was completed in Virginia. This geographic distance did not adversely effect the outcome. From the initial salesperson (who took the gutsy risk of letting me visit and talk with two neighborhood customers while he waited outside before signing our contract) through the schedulers, work execution and Quality Control final inspection we were well pleased. The work started on time and was completed on time. Numerous personal phone calls and visits by the Power inspectors provided us with the comforting conclusion that we made the correct choice for a truly professional contractor. (The ONLY minor problem for the ENTIRE process was an oil stain from their air compressor on one of our paving blocks.) With our 50 year labor and product warranty I doubt we will need to redo our roof in our lifetime BUT if we move we would definitely chose Power again! Check the Better Business Bureau reviews and complaints and you will easily see that Power is a responsive and reasonable company to work with. Need a new roof? Power is your answer! Note that our project included house (2050 sq ft) replacement of all substandard 3/4” roof decking with code 7/16” decking (2080 sq ft) and also included reroofing of standalone shed (100 sq ft) minus decking replacement/gutters.

The process was much faster than expected even with supply line delays. They were able to come in a month early and it took them a day and a half to put in 23 new windows into my house. I was skeptical about vinyl windows but I have found my home temperatures much more consistent in both hot and cold weather. One of the biggest surprises was the difference in sound between our original single pain windows and these. Our busy neighborhood is much quieter when all the windows are closed. My wife was the most critical of the vinyl look and while she still wishes she had true divided light wood windows… she is the first to admit that doing the windows were a good decision. We found them to be a good product that was more cost effective and their appearance was a great improvement on our old windows and screens. Clearly… we are very happy with the results and happy we picked Power Home remodeling.

I am revising my previous review. 1 My initial siding project was completed and different siding was installed on an inconspicuous corner. Warrantee replaces it within 3 days. 2. In less than three months, siding blew off . Warranted scheduled it to be fixed and then rescheduled it without informing me. When I called to verify on the rescheduled date I was told that they were sch filed, but the crew was having issues es “ and could not make it. It has still not been fixed.

Three years after paying alot of money replacing all the windows in our home we started having problems, this company has failed to honor this "Lifetime warranty" they supposedly offer in their sales pitch! We've called over and over, even speaking with so called supervisors/managers of these problems and they tell us they'll look into and never call us back! We are beyond frustrated and livid with this low level company and are contemplating pursuing legal action against them to force them to honor the warranty we supposedly signed! Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money with this horrible/unprofessional/dysfunctional company! You'll regret it just like we are right now!

Don't hire Power for anything. Their product and warranty program is 100% scam. Put in a claim in May 2021 for picture window with broken seal - lasted less than 4 years. Power confirmed in writing their responsibility to replace. As of Sept 2022 window still has not been replaced. Every time I call I'm told that yes, order went in in May 2021 but there is a problem in manufacturing. What problem lasts 15 months? Only 1 kind - the kind where Power has no intention of honoring the warranty for products they know are faulty.

Siding is beautiful. Gutters are nice. Our 2 day job took 2 weeks to complete. During install an exterior electrical box needed to be maneuvered so Siding could go behind it. This threw off electrical to a building that was tied to that outlet. No response from the warranty team other than pay an electrician to fix us and forward the bill for reimbursement. I asked for this in writing and got nothing. The gutter pitch is off and we were guaranteed it would be fixed with the installation of the new gutters. It was not and water drains directly onto an electrical outlet. The warranty dept is radio silent. The billing team was very quick to send us reminders, the bill, and more reminders.

Very disappointed with the warranty service at Power Home Remodeling in New Jersey. Due to poor workmanship, our vinyl siding ripped off in a minor storm. They couldn’t get us on the schedule for months. Our house is a complete eye sore. They no called/no showed for the first scheduled repair. I spoke with a customer service rep and we scheduled it again for May 27th. Once again, Power no called/no showed for our repair. I followed up with them and they gave me a run around and told me they couldn’t get in touch with the installers in the area. I was told I would get a call back but never did. Very unprofessional and terrible customer service. The warranty service team always tries to be helpful but it seems the NJ team is struggling to create synergy with them to deliver to their customers.

Here’s the summary in case you don’t read the entire review (which I would because you’ll be spending a decent amount of money. Summary: You can go with them based on other reviews, but for my money, based on my experience as a homeowner for 35 years: their work is no better than many other contractors out there; their attention to detail is lacking; and their customer service is horrible. They say customer satisfaction is their top priority, but just read the reviews and they’ll confirm my experience. I would definitely NOT recommend this company. I went with them because my neighbor used them and was happy. They seemed to do a good job for my neighbor. My experience, sadly, was completely different. This review encompasses two jobs that they did, my roof and later on trim. I’ll explain why I used them a second time. The good: The first impression was positive. I didn’t want to be rude, so I listened to the “sales pitch” which was extensive. They spent time in the attic and looked professional. The bad: They “misquoted” the price and added 10 percent due to unforeseen work. I guess that the extensive first inspection wasn’t so extensive after all. They told me that they had to replace more of the old roof then anticipated, which confused me since the inspection in the attic did take some time. That said, even with the increased cost of plywood, they WAY overcharged for the boards they said they used. I asked for pictures of the boards, was told okay, but never saw the pictures or any plywood delivered. Maybe it was when I wasn’t there. The roof came out good, except for one spot, which I asked them to remedy. They said that they would, but never did. I stopped counting the nails I picked up after 30. Trim: some nails not completely nailed in, others sent in too far, denting the aluminum, and fingerprints. I asked them early on to watch for fingerprints and was assured no more and those others would be cleaned. The scaffolding brackets were nailed into a brand new roof, and then the holes filled with different colored silicon. I guess they don’t nail the brackets under shingles like they used to. The roof trim was wavey and bent around the entire house. They said they’d fix this when they did the trim. Never happened. The ugly: This is where the company is sorely lacking. If you look up the complaints on BBB site, you’ll see why. The customer communication is horrible. Upon payment for the roof, the rep looked at my gutters and soffits and told me I could get a deal, since he was there and wouldn’t need to send someone out again. One of the reasons I went with them a second time was the PROMISE that they would address my concerns regarding some of the finish work on the roof, including fixing the dip in the transition from the upper roof to the lower, on the front of the house. “I’ve got notes all over the place” I was told during the phone call to confirm the date of install. When they called to confirm delivery of materials, I reminded them of the details they’d said they’d address (see pics). I was told “absolutely.” Promises made, promises broken. The really ugly: Installing day has arrived and the work has begun. As the workers were installing the new trim, I noticed that they weren’t addressing my earlier concerns. I tried to speak with them, but no one spoke English. The one worker who spoke enough, called his ‘boss’ and told me he’d be there within the hour. Two hours and fifteen minutes later, Juan arrived. He looked annoyed with me, but I spoke pleasantly enough. He also told me that he didn’t understand my concerns due to language issues. He said he’d take pictures of what I pointed to, forward them, and the company would get back to my concerns. After 30 minutes, I had to go. The project manager on this job, who shall remain nameless, was non-existent. No help, no addressing my concerns. The inexcusable: The details of what I’m not happy about take a back seat to how the company responded to my concerns. This is the major complaint: they don’t listen! The short of it is they give the responses they’re trained to do, giving the customer the impression that they’ll handle it. Unfortunately, they haven’t in my case. Again, see BBB for similar complaints of lack of communication. I think they’d make great politicians. I’ll expect a call so I can pay the bill. It’s been a couple of months, and I guess if I didn’t reach out to them, no bill would be sent. I hope that when they do send the bill, that they adjust for the money I had to lay out to have the rear steps repaired that they damaged. We’ll see.

Power installed the siding and two windows in my home in October 2021. One of the windows delivered was not as ordered. Power installed it and informed me that as soon as the correct window sashes arrived, the job would be corrected and the window corking completed. To date, all calls to Power have been met with the response that the sashes have not yet arrived. The window is exposed to the elements uncorked/sealed. A month ago, I noticed that an area on my wall had a leak, Power asked me to send in pictures of the leak and I was informed that the earliest a local representative could a**** the problem was July 15th. Today, I called to inform Power that leak has progressed and that water is now pooling on the window sill in the room. The representative I spoke to Folashade, was very unhelpful. She was impatient, condescending, spoke over me and would not let me finish a thought. By the end of the call, I felt very intimidated and asked to speak to someone else including a manager. I was informed to expect a call back. I am very disappointed and would not recommend using Power since once the installation team has completed its job, it is impossible to get Power to address any of its mistakes.

The installation process went as planned. After the insulation, I expected a follow up to see how things went. After all, that's what happened after they did my window installation. No follow up took place. I gave it a few weeks to see if they would call or come by to see. After waiting I placed a call to address my concerns. The roof installation went fine, but they left debris on the brand new windows they installed along with splashing some black substance on my siding. I guess they expected the rain to wash it all away. They also left large piece of wood in my drive way and nails in my driveway and around my house. I was assured that someone would call me back since the members of the team handling my account was in a meeting. It is now been a week and no call back. That must be a heck of a meeting.

Not too bad. A few hiccups. Very pricey, one screen got ruined, an exposed pipe where water can get in the basement, and a gate that doesn't work anymore.

USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU A. Don't care about your sanity or mental health or B. LOVE Headaches and dealing with nightmares. Also- feel free to recommend them to your mortal enemies. For a price tag that isn't cheap, one would think they would be getting a top of the line service, with no headaches and gimmicks. Incorrect. Our experience with Power for siding couldn't have gone worse. It all started when we received a confirmation call about our start date and dumpster delivery. So it came as quite a surprise when the day came and went and no dumpster appeared. My wife had to call and ask what was up and they surprised us with letting us know our project would be delayed several weeks. No problem but, why did they call us 24 hours before to confirm it? This is a super unorganized company is the answer. The next issue was when the delivery driver was a complete dick to my wife while dropping off the material. Ok, things happen. Unacceptable but I moved on, just chalking up his rudeness to a bad day. Wrongo. Next start with the real issues. They destroyed, literally destroyed our Verizon Wi-Fi system, removed it, put it back upside down, and didn't cover it and of course there was a state of emergency and it got flooded/destroyed to pieces. Thanks guys who were "experts" in their training! LOL. A funny joke from power I suppose? This one really takes the cake. Michael, our site manager, tried to charge us for THEIR mistakes. We signed a contract, which my understanding of a contract is that you are locked into a rate. He tried telling us that we had to pay 5K MORE than we were quoted. I obviously lost it at this point, said that was unacceptable we would have to pay for his mistake. After uncomfortably arguing for what felt like an hour (it was an actual hour) he was able to work it out with his boss and they ended up eating the 5K. But thanks so much for trying to rip us off to our faces!!! Imagine if we were elderly or just not as fast? RIP OFF KINGS. Next our Wi-Fi cable was cut again. Like, are you guys kidding me? I mean, I am not in construction, nor do I know a thing about installing siding.... but I definitely know, I wouldn't be walking around CUTTING CABLES to anything. Much less doing it twice!! So this was super infuriating for my wife who works from home. Really stellar to be without Wi-Fi for several days. Thanks Power!!!! The pop ins that they don't do anything about, that you sign in your contract, yea they were littered all over our house. From the carelessness of the guys installing it. We still have them. See photos for example. Our yard/driveway/flowerbeds/backyards/patio/tree beds are still littered with microplastics from the installation. I guess they will become a part of our home. At this point it was just funny with how horrible they were. So after they leave, pack it all up and head out... about a week or 2 later we started having some strange power issues with our house. For example, we only had electricity in our bedroom and dining room. Literally power was out in the entire house, our fridge, dishwasher, lights, bathrooms, we had NO POWER in our house. Not knowing what was up we called an electrician, couldn't fix it, then PSE&G came out around 9pm.... the guy asks, did you recently do any work to the outside of your house?" to which we replied, "Yes we had our siding redone". "Well", the guy says, "they didn't properly re-connect your cables". AVOID THEM. I am trying to warn you!!! They just don't know what they are doing at all. The icing on the cake came last week when I went to rake the leaves. The MOTHER FCKRS STOLE our rake!! They asked us to borrow it and then just decided they needed it more than we did. Foolishly, we didn't check to see if they returned it. We are still waiting for a reply from Michael on how to rectify this. Best believe, I'll get a rake or a credit for one. F Power. I would NEVER in a hundred years use this company again or recommend it to a loved one. Again, if you know someone you do not like and would like to recommend them, go ahead. This company is a HARD PASS from me. Will never use again. I saw them talking to my neighbors, but fortunately I warned them about their sketchy, shotty business and they used other people.
Description of Work: We hired them to re-do our siding.

Victoria and Laura both took the time to explain and go over everything we needed to know about the product. They also went over other products that power had to offer. I would use the again in the future. A very good company!
