Power Home Remodeling

We hired Power Home Remodeling for three separate jobs: to install new windows, a new front door, and new gutters on our home. We were pleased with the results each time. Their workers arrived as scheduled, worked without a break until each job was completed, cleaned up completely, and were professional and courteous. We are very happy with the windows - they fit perfectly and make a big difference in reducing noise from street traffic. The installation (in winter) only took half a day and with very little inconvenience to us. The new door looks terrific. The initial interior trim that was installed was the wrong color, but when I pointed this out, it was promptly corrected without issue. The gutters are also fine.

They showed up at 7:30 in the morning, and put down tarp to catch the debris. They completed the job by about 4:00 the same day. They spent the next half hour cleaning up. I was very impressed by the whole operation. We have had a couple of heavy rains since then. There have been no leaks. We are very happy with the quality of the materials and with the labor.

It went very well. The installers were prompt and professional. They took pride in their work and attention to detail was impressive. I am very happy with the product even though it is a little pricey.

Everyone I dealt with at Power Home Remodeling were professional and prompt. They came out and re-measured prior to the actual work being done to avoid any problems or surprises. The crew that did the work were professional in every way. The work was completed in the time they estimated and the clean up was excellent. The foreman asked me to walk around the house with him and point out anything I was not happy with and I couldn't find any area that needed additional attention. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the products they used and the manner in which they approached the entire job.

Estimate failed to include cost for plywood base so was added in later one job commenced. So final cost was more than the estimate. Damaged existing gutter helmets a bit. But roof itself is quite excellent and withstood hurricane and storms after so can't complain too much.

Very satisfied with the quality of the work, and materials used. Workers were professional and courteous. We had a roof, siding, and windows installed. The workers came on different dates for each of the projects, but once the work for each project started, work continued until completed. There were no "disappearing workers" that would "come back another day." Once they started, they worked until completed. One day for the roof. One day for the windows. Three days for the siding. They cleaned up everything, and took it with them each evening. I had to call a few weeks later for a ripped screen, and a small loose piece of siding, but they sent over someone to fix both in a few days after calling. No charge The only negative experience we had was the high pressure sales tactics. The sales associate was at our house for 3-4 hours explaining their policies, materials used, great reputation, etc… Then we got the good ol' "We can give you a discount if you sign tonight" gimmick. I had already researched the company ahead of time, and was expecting this, but it's unbelievable to experience it first hand. After some haggling and getting the price down to where I thought it was reasonable, I agreed to the work. I had read good reviews online and on Angie's List, and checked their rating with the BBB. In the end, I got great service, and a quality job, with quality materials. Also a quick response for a warrantee repair. I could have paid less with someone else, but I doubt it would have been done this quickly, with quality materials, and peace of mind that any future problems will be fixed promptly.

The two man crew did an excellent job. They went over all aspects of the job prior to starting. They tarped off the working areas inside and outside of my home. They kept me informed of their progress and answered all of my questions. When the work was completed they did a visual inspection of the area. This is a very good company. Everyone involved in this process (Sales Reps, Project Manager, Technicians, Customer Service Rep.) are true professionals. They are educated, well trained and courteous individuals who take pride in their profession. I highly recommend this company and will be using their services in the future.

I had a wonderful experience with Power Home Remodeling group. I was a bit leery as I had the roof replaced in 2005 and it was a disaster right from the start. It started leaking not long after and I was never able to have it fixed properly (after paying numerous people to come and fix the leaks). Power Home Remodeling came recommended from a family member so I gave them a call. The first meeting was scheduled within a week. The presentation was a bit long but very informative. Once I signed, they sent someone out to make sure the measurements were correct (this gentleman was very helpful). Within two weeks after that, the crew came to install my new roof (we also need some boards replaced). The dumpster arrived at 6:45am, the crew arrived at 7:30am. They were very knowledgeable and professional, covered the whole house in tarp to protect the windows, etc. They worked great as a team and my new roof was completed by 4:30pm. About a week after the roof was done, they sent someone out to inspect and ask a ton of questions about the work and workers (did they arrive on time, were they professional, etc). We have had a bunch of rain recently and the roof so far is wonderful. I would definitely recommend this company.

It went very well. First we got an estimate of the job. They arrived on time on date promised and completed the work in one day. Followed up a week later. Excellent experience.

The sales pitch ran a little long but they guy was extremely nice (and talkative). I was very impressed with the window quality and can't wait to see how much warmer the room is now. They came out a second time to make sure the window measurements were correct since they were custom windows which made me feel confident they were going to be the right size. I had constant contact with the company leading up to the install. After the install was complete (only took 3 hours for the 7 windows), I received a visit from a quality control representative just to make sure everything was done correctly, to answer any questions I had and to help me register my warranty. I decided to do additional work with them in order to get a better interest rate on my financing. My only complaint was that I felt they could have done a better job on clean up in the house under the windows as I found some dirt and a screw which really upset me because I have a dog in the house. Overall I think they are a good company and plan to use them more in the future.

Power installed seven windows today. The windows are high quality. They are easy to lift; easy to tilt in to clean. They have child locks for safety. The windows are unbreakable and the window screen repairs itself. The windows look wonderful. The people who installed the windows are master craftsmen and made it look easy. They cleaned up thoroughly after the installations.

The different items listed were done at different times, but all according to schedule. This contractor is very organized, and has the right number of persons working on jobs so as to complete things in a timely manner. Great clean-up too. All the workers were polite, knowledgeable and acted in a professional manner. It was a pleasure to have the work done in such an efficient, timely and professional manner.

The sales was the longest 3 hour presentation. They are the most expensive quote I got. I signed up after I kept saying no. They lowered the price by more. I ended up canceling and the courier came, which is another sales person. They lowered the amount again.

10/15/2014: Ziggy and his crew (2 guys) arrived at about 8:25am ( I was given a window of 8am-10am). I really like the fact that he always come early to install the windows. They unloaded the supplies and setup outside. By about 9:30am, the 2 windows on the second floor were installed. After installing all the windows and cleaning up, Ziggy and his crew were gone by 2:15pm. Ziggy and his team do great work. Right away I felt the difference in my home. I no longer get drafts from the windows. The house warmed up quickly. 10/16/2014: I slept great last night and did not have to sleep with 2 comforters. I woke up this more to a warm house and a warm bathroom. Prior to the installation of the new windows, I would come home to a house that was colder inside than it was outside. Not anymore. Today I came home to a warm house. The thermostat said 71 degrees and it felt like it for the first time in 6.5yrs. I love my windows and they look grea. I want to thank Ziggy and his team for doing an excellent job. Also, thank you Rich for following up to see how things were going and stopping by to check on the work. I was, definitely, in good hands with Ziggy. I am ready for the winter. Thanks again to Ziggy, his team and the Power Home Remodeling Group.

The sales pitch was over 3 hours. We had serious buyers remorse after we signed and did some research on the company. So I called the next morning to cancel. I was told I had sign some internal documents to complete the cancelation and the 'courier' would stop by at 6pm that night. I specifically stated if they were sending in the 'closing salesman' don't bother. I'm canceling. The 'courier' was the hard salesman. He was 30 min late and 30 min of trying to convince us we were making a mistake. I didn't sign any papers. We had to practically walk him out. He kindly said his company would never do business with us. THANK GOODNESS

The provider did an excellent job in removing old window that appeared to have been overly secured. In addition to that the outside siding had to be matched. This siding is no longer available but they did a fantastic job with a couple of pieces that I found in the shed. And I mean they did a wonderful job piecing it together to make it look presentable again. I love my new window, it added a fresh look to the exterior and interior of the my home. Way to go Power HRD. I would recommend them to everyone.

Sales person arrived for a 2:00pm appointment along with a person in training. Normal estimates usually take 30-to 45 minutes max. Well after 61/2 hrs. later and my wife not in good health, he would not leave until we signed the agreement. The sales rep even chose his own color combination which we did not like but were told we could change it at the pre-inspection appointment which was 2 weeks later. In addition, the sales rep misrepresented himself repeatedly throughout the 6+ hrs. he was here. He told us we could start the project at anytime but during the pre-inspection, the gentleman told us the project had to start in 60 days or we would have to pay a 15% deposit to start at a later date. Also, we were told by the sales rep that our flowers around the house would not be damaged and the workers would take the utmost care in doing no damage. That's not what the pre inspection gentleman said. He said "you can forget about the flowers they will be trampled and broken during installation". After the pre-inspection was finished, the gentleman said the sales rep made errors in his measurements and the job was going to be $10,000 more than what the agreement was signed for. That was the last straw and I immediately sent the company a telegram , plus a certified letter-return receipt and a telephone call to cancel the job. They replied to me by saying they wanted to send a representative to our house to sign the cancellation forms and charge a 15% cancellation fee which was close to $6,500. This was the worst experience we have ever had with a home remodeling company.

Today, 8/29/14, Freddie and his team (4 guys) showed up on time and began working right away. Freddie and his team removed the one layer of old shingles, then installed, replaced and cleaned up just as they promised. I was given the opportunity to see what was done so far during their break. After the roof was completed, Freddie did a final walk around the house with me. The roofing replacement was done in one day (12 hours). The roof looks great and now has ventilation. Thank you for stopping the leak near the chimney. The gutter project is scheduled for tomorrow, 8/30/14 and the window project is scheduled for 9/12/14, unless the windows come early. 8/30/14 Carlos and his team (2 guys) were very polite. As soon as they arrive they began working right away on the gutters. They removed the old gutters and installed the new ones (including downspouts, gutter protectors). The whole job took 1hr. Once the job was completed, they did a final walk around the house with me. I forgot to thank Tony (first point of contact), Oscar (salesperson), Mike (project manger) and Dan (who follows up with you every step of the way) for all being so pleasant to work with and customer focused. 9/13/14 Ziggy and his crew arrived early to install the 4 windows before the rain came. They arrived at 7:45am unloaded the supplies from the van and went right to work. The windows were installed and the clean up was completed by 10:20am. Ziggy was courteous and did a complete walk through with me. I will need additional windows and will request Ziggy and his crew.

Punctual, courtesy, cleaned up and did a great job. Highly recommend this company. It was not the cheapest option, but it was done and done right. As the saying goes...you get what you pay for.

Provider did very well. Price was a bit on the high side but the quality of the windows was very good. I all ready knew about the 3 hr. sales push that they were going to try in beginning. In the end got a fair price. They are very professional. The installed was very good and cleaned up everything. I would use them again. I still have to replace the other half of my windows.

The work they did was fine. The product is OK. I have had one issue with the handle. I didn't call them because I had to block their number. They called me so many times to harass for more business I blocked them and would not use them again. I had more work done on my house this summer and didn't even think to call them.

The next day a consultant arrived right on time. He was polite and seemed knowledgable about our situation with ventillation. Before even looking at anything on my home, he gave us the full biography of the company including all the charitable organizations they are associated with, etc. (Ok, fine. you're doing your sales pitch. I can live with that). Where he started to get over on us was when he started describing their products, lifetime parts and labor warranty, and insurance. He told us that other companies will come in and quote us half the price but we would get 1) inferior products 2) a limited warranty on the materials only-not labor 3) other companies only have a minimal insurance coverage on their workers. If a worker got hurt on our property, we would probably get sued. THIS WAS ALL BEFORE HE LOOKED AT OUR HOME! Finally, we went around the house outside, then inside the attic, and through the rooms looking at the windows which we also are looking to replace. Right away I'm in for a new roof, decking replaced, and attic wrap. At that point,the window replacement was "out the window". Of course we got the "sign today" discount price along with the regular price that was thousands more. We were worried about the roof after last winter's snow storms so we decided to sign on to do the roof knowing there would be no money left to do any of our other projects. The salesman was at my home for 4 1/2 hours by the time we were done signing papers etc. My wife and I were completely worn out. What aroused my suspicion was the salesman asking more than once if we were going to cancell. He said it looks bad for the companyto get cancellations. Ok, I woke up the next morning feeling unsure if I made a mistake so I immediately started doing research on the company right here on AL and to my surprise, most were not good. I started communications with friends who had dealt with PHRG and after their stories, I had no choice but to cancell. Even the cancellation process can by tricky. Luckily I got out. To summarize: Their special "sign today discount price" is still more than double what you'll pay anywhere else. Other companies offer the same exact products as they do including all the "accessories" Other companies' workers are properly insured, but you should always check their certificate. Most other companies send the owner/family to do estimates. Not salesmen who never performed the work. After I cancelled, they offered me another $5000 off the price of my roof if I would reconsider. The price I ended up paying was still half of that price. STAY AWAY! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!

They arrived on time. Installation went well, the windows look very nice ,easy to use.They cleaned up the work area. The workers were very pleasant. This was my second set of windows installed for a total of 7 so far very happy with them.

It went fantastic. Amazed that they were able to do that amount of work in one day like they guarunteed. Everything they explained they were gonna do they did. Overall great service.

Great presentation. Price was outrageous!
