My experience with the salesman, Ernie, was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and answered all of our questions completely and clearly. The installation is in progress now, so I will report on that later.

Had my 60 year old windows replaced with 21 windows by Power Home Remolding earlier this week. So far so good.. The crew that worked on my house did a great job, they were fast and knowledgeable. It's to early to tell how these provia windows holdup but I'll know after the winter. For now they look great and I can already hear a difference! I heard everything through my single pane window! Keeping my fingers crossed..

I had about 30 windows replaced. The crew was friendly, efficient, and did a very good job cleaning up when they were done. The company was responsive to my emails (and are scheduled to stop by today to check on a couple of minor cosmetic issues). Very good company to work with.

This review comes about 7 months after the initial installation. I was so excited to get this project done. We were remedying asbestos siding and selected a beautiful combination of colors. They select their salespeople well - very friendly - and they know how to talk to people. A 4-hour initial appointment is tiring though and at the end of it, it's buy now for a great price or we'll lock you into a price 10k higher for a year- which isn't exactly fair on a purchase of this size. Red Flag 1. In hindsight, you play games with your customers and use scare tactics to push sales. After the initial appointment, follow up didn't come very quickly, it was months before I received a follow up. They came out again and I got that lower price again, so don't feel pressured at that first appointment. Red Flag 2 The pre-install appointment was red flag 3, but at this point, I am past the cancellation window and don't have much choice but to proceed if I don't want to pay a fee for cancelling. I probably should have just paid the fee and cancelled - hindsight is 20/20, this couldn't be truer. The project manager was high energy but rubbed me the wrong way- she wasn't as versed as the salespeople at talking to customers. I was told that my awning would not be removed or put back up because it was motorized- with the main excuse being “we don't want to lose the bolts”. However, had it been manual, they would have done it. That literally makes zero sense. She did not prepare us for what was about to happen, what their expectations for us were or what we should expect when their crew arrived to do the work. I don't care if you give me a checklist, you should be going over every single bullet with us verbally- it's a PRE-INSTALL appointment, I shouldn't have to read paperwork, tell me what I need to do and then give me the list as a refresher. This is an overwhelming process for someone who hasn't gone through it before - manage your customers’ expectations and set everyone up for success. This is where "Power" fails. We were told they didn't contract their work out, they don't go to Home Depot and pick up any old workers. All of their guys are trained in house. A project manager would be on site. My yard would show no sign of work after the work was completed. None of this is true. The workers spoke extremely limited English, the foreman spoke better English, but there were some very clear barriers. To this day, I am finding aluminum, nails and broken pieces of asbestos siding in my yard. So this "power" crew, who is not Power, shows up and just starts setting up. No introduction, no nothing. We have inactive cars in our driveway, which we brought up during multiple appointments and were assured that they wouldn't need to move. One of these guys, who I now know is the foreman, comes up to the door, no introduction, just - hey, we're here to do the work on your house, can you move those cars? When I told him no, he proceeded to tell me he didn't want anything to fall on them. Nothing should be falling on them, I have asbestos siding, you aren’t going to just fling it off the house. I'm sure you can guess what happened next, they flung my siding off the house releasing asbestos into the air with every crack they put it in. When I called the company to ask what the heck was going on, Michael told me that they can remove the siding any way they please and it's only a hazard if you grind up the siding. I'm sorry, WHAT? So, let's just PRETEND this is True. What am I supposed to do about all the siding that is embedded in my grass when I must run a mover over it? Does that not count as grinding it up? Also, what did I just pay an arm and a leg for to get this stuff removed if you can just casually fling it off the house? My husband had some very choice words for him, which I did apologize for, but from the start, this has been our experience. The foreman then came to the back door and had the audacity to tell us he was upset that we called the company. He also told us that anything we need, we need to tell him. My husband let him know that at no point did he come and introduce himself as such, to which he responded with a wave and gesture and yes, I did, towards me. Excuse me? No sir, you certainly did not. We expected rot under the siding on one side of our home, and it was there. His guys just covered it as quickly as they threw the asbestos shingles on the ground. This Foreman proceeded to argue with us that there was nothing wrong with the wood when my husband brought it up to him. He also kept referencing the wrong side of the house when he was talking to him, so we had to go out and show him the side (again, language barrier issue). When we showed him what side it was, he still proceeded to argue with me until I showed him the photos that I took, at which point he immediately changed his tune. This wasn't the only time they tried to cover something up that they didn't want to do/damaged while they were here. I called Power back to complain about this situation because at this point, my faith in this company has gone out the window. Chris reassured me that he would speak to him, and it would be ok and we would all be high 5-ing by the time we were done. Spoiler alert - that never happened. ever. I don't know what Chris said to this man, but he gave us the silent treatment for the rest of the day. I figured he would sleep on it and it would be better the 2nd day, we could start over... didn't happen. He was rude the second day as well. I decided to be the bigger person, after all, I have to be able to talk to this man, he is doing major work on my house and we need to be able to communicate effectively, which was already proving to be difficult due to the language barrier. I found one of my screens had been sliced, no doubt from the shingle flinging shenanigans that commenced the prior day. Did anyone bring this to my attention? You guessed it - no. Day 3 was a very hot day, but again, foreman was aloof. Fine, maybe that's his personality, but another day of being uncomfortable in my own home. Day 4, the last day, this day couldn't have come soon enough. As an act of good faith, I buy the crew lunch - set them up in the shade at the table in the back. Come to find out a day after they left, they helped themselves to beers I store in my outdoor fridge. I found the cans stashed in an empty closet I was getting ready to toss. Forget the fact that they stole from me though – they are now drinking on the job. As they are packing up. I go through my paperwork and do a quick walkaround, and my garage is not capped. Go out to him and ask him if it's in his paperwork - no. Ok, no problem, I ask permission to call the company (since it's obvious that this bothers him), shakes his head yes. Great, I go inside, not 3 minutes later, guess what he located in his paperwork, the order to do the garage. The time comes to sign my rights away - that I am satisfied with their work. I am not signing anything until I do a final walkthrough. There are 4 things that I am not happy with, all street facing. I told him these 4 things. This man walks up to my house cursing in Spanish, rips off the bottom j-channel and throws it in the yard. They fix these things and tell me one other thing can't be done because it's the "wood" going like this (wave hand motion)- he couldn't tell me in English that the wood was wavy or warping. My husband tells him that just because we don't speak the language, doesn't mean we don't know what he is saying and to watch his mouth around us as he walked into the house, I heard him saying **** and ***** in Spanish and I am not sure if he was talking about us/me or to his workers, regardless, this is another demonstration of unprofessional behavior. This was the most uncomfortable situation I have ever been in, and it was in my own house no less, and the most unprofessional businessman I have ever met in my life. And despite all of that, I decided to let them do my front door! I have requested warranty service, which was set out 3 months. The door is terrible (they didn’t use the correct gun to nail the frame and then covered the holes with caulk, the seal is not holding, and it doesn’t sit properly in the frame), and my white soffits are leaking a brown substance, which tells you just how much of a **** job this was. Just received a call this morning that their office will be closed on June 17th, the day I had my service scheduled, and they have to reschedule another 3 months out, but I’ll “probably get in before then” Uh-huh, not holding my breath. So, the door that I got to keep the cool in is now completely useless – for the entire summer. A word of advice, your installers are an extension of your company and professionality. They need to exercise the same level of respect and people skills that your salespeople have. You preach a lot about respect in your initial document, and I experienced the complete opposite. Additionally, this is a project that I SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO MANAGE. I do not work for you, I am paying you to do a job that I should not have to oversee, but here we are. I had to keep telling this man what had to be done, because evidently you don't speak to each other, either that or again - language barrier. Additionally, it seems that your interoffice departments also lack communication as I received a call after I requested warranty service to see how everything was going. Well Mike, not great. I will never use this company again. On the horizon, I have all of my windows, a few more doors and a roof that will all be getting replaced, but Power will not be getting that business. Steer clear of Power.

I am beyond impressed with the work done. I had all my windows, a sliding glass door, and my front door replaced and it feels like a brand new house. The workers were professional, quick, and very considerate of my working from home. They went above and beyond. From the first appoint I had and through the install I have been nothing but impressed by this company and who they employ. I can’t recommend them enough.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! I’m going to start with, we have been in our house for 2 years. Power was good getting here on time to do the job but after it was a complete disaster. A few weeks after they installed 10 windows, one of them started to leak, it was very small however, our carpet and the wall were pretty wet. Long story short they came 3 times to fixed the problem, the last time was a few weeks ago 3 guys came open holes in our walls downstairs and upstairs bc that’s how big the leak got. The following day I called to see when they were going to come back to close the holes they made in our walls since I have two babies. Well the answer was never. Supposedly they couldn’t fix it bc they were not sure if the leak was coming from the window or somewhere else (we never had a problem before the new windows). Our “project manager” Matt was supposed get back to us, we never heard from him. When we called he was never able so some lady just told us they are going to be there tomorrow just to close the walls and that’s it, we’re not responsible for anything else. Ok so who is? Well now we have to go through our home insurance and get a new window and bc all the water that came in also have to get new siding. NEVER AGAIN!

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We apologize for any undue frustrations occurred throughout your project, this certainly is never our intentions. After reviewing your project notes we found that the reason Power couldn’t resolve your issues completely is because the leak was determined to be coming from your siding that wasn’t done by Power. Throughout your follow up visits we made sure to do everything within our power to minimize the impact the leak would cause to your home, but since the leak isn’t a result from our product we are limited in what we can do to resolve it. We hope this can give you a better understanding of what is going on with your home. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to our Customer Care team and call at (888) 736-6335, option 4 at the prompt.

I want to make this post to publicly hold Power responsible if God forbid we have an emergency in my property, such as a Fire, and my 5 year old and my 9 year old can't get out of their rooms. At the beginning of March, I agreed to allow them to send their "expert" estimator to come to my house after they knocked on my door offering their services. The estimator, [name removed], gave me a 3-hour presentation about Windows, and I expressed to him that I would like to change the windows in the 3 bedrooms. I clearly explained to him that I was concerned about my 2 kid's bedrooms slider windows since they were pretty old and a bit difficult to open. I wanted to change those windows because, in the case of a fire, I would like for my kids to be able to walk out to the top of the patio porch. He suggested that because of the opening (46.5"x34.5"), he will put 2 side by side double hung windows instead of the slider window. I asked him if the windows would be big enough for an egress, and he said yes because their frames are not that big. Moving on to May, a total of 6 windows were installed in my home. 2 side by side windows on each of my kids' bedrooms and 2 windows in my bedroom. The windows in my kids' bedroom are so small it would be difficult to get a pet out through them since when fully opened, they are 19.5"x9." I have been expressing my concerns to them every day since Monday 5/8/23 after the windows installation on Saturday 5/6/23. They suggested training my kids to remove the entire windows, which is ridiculous and not in compliance with the building codes. I told them that how do they expect a 5 or 9 year old to be able to do that. I asked them to remove those windows and install the slider (21.5"x33" opening), but they refused to do so. Instead today on 5/17/23, they sen out [name removed] from their installation department to remove a stopper which open the window and additional 2". This guy had the audacity to tell me that he being about 200lbs will fit through those windows without struggling. He even compared my living room windows to the kid's bedroom and I had to remind him that there are 3 exit doors on that floor, and my livingroom windows were definitely wider. This window "expert" apparently doesn't know that you need to have atleast 2 egress in each room whether is windows or doors combined. He doesn't understand that their windows are not safe to egress. They are not big enough for my kids to escape or a fire fighter to come in, during an emergency. At this point, I'm going to take legal action if they do not do the right thing. They are putting money before the client's safety. They could've installed 4 windows as I had it, but the six windows sounded like more money for them. They cost me about 6,000 to install, which is more expensive than most contractors, but I decided to give them a chance since they compare themselves to Renewal by Andersen. By the way, there's is no way to communicate with them other than phone calls, so I don't have written records of our conversations. I will keep updating online as my only proof and to make other people aware of what they can go through with this "expert" company.

Everything went very well. Much better and more professional and organized than I thought it would be.
Description of Work: The workmen arrived at the arranged time and immediately got to work. They were extremely professional, removing the old windows and expertly installing the new ones. The entire job (27 windows in all) took less than 8 hours. Afterwards, they cleaned up everything leaving the area spotless. This was a thoroughly professional job and was well executed. And, I love these windows. As far as the installation and the look, it was very well done and worth every penny. Now, only time will tell if the windows perform as expected in summer (keeping out the heat) and in winter (keeping out the cold).

Do not use them. The cost is way higher than using a local contractor and they only need the warranty because the product is horrendous. They have been back to my house almost EVERY year to fix the white molding around the windows/door/peak that keeps peeling. They make appointments and then constantly cancel the morning they are supposed to show up. For the money go with a local contractor, my father had sidding done at the same time by a local guy, almost 1/2 the cost and they have had not issues for the last 10 years. Me, I am always on the phone with them trying to get my house looking decent again. See attached pictures of the latest peeling issues

Horrible customer service, all you get is the same response; we’re waiting on the manufacturer/warehouse. Ordered 2 sashes almost 2 yrs ago, I’m still getting the same response; waiting for the warehouse to call. Needless to say, I’ve had to order 3 more sashes. Windows keep turning brown. I would have been better off buying windows at Home Depot or Lowe’s. These Windows were too expensive for this BS!! I called today 4/6/23 and was told again; we’re waiting on the warehouse and waiting time is usually 16-18 months. I’ve already waited 2 yrs. I asked to speak to a manager and was told no manager available! Just horrible, when these brown windows are visible to the public!!! Stay away

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience. We are incredibly sorry to hear about the concerns you have regarding your recently installed project. After looking into the details of your project, we can see that we came out for a service appointment on 4/11 during which we replaced the sashes for a number of windows in your home. During this service appointment we identified other windows that were affected and immediately ordered replacement sashes for those as well. As you know, as soon as those sashes arrive from the manufacturer, we will contact you to schedule a follow-up service visit. We are aggressively working with our manufacturing partners to shorten production and delivery timelines for these products and again apologize for the undue frustration caused by waiting for the product to arrive however, please know that when you partner with Power on a project, you’re choosing a company that will stand by its products and services well after the original installation to ensure your satisfaction with the completed work. If you have any more questions or concerns please reach out to our Customer Care department at 888-736-6335, option 4.

I paid for aluminum capping, soffit and gutters to be replaced only to find the crew used some of my old soffit. I made an appointment to have the job completed the way it should have been in the first place. I took personal time off from work without pay to be there and low and behold, they're a no show. Power rescheduled for the next day which was a saturday at 10am. Guess what?? No show again. Power is unable to reach the crew on the phone and have no idea where they are. Every representative on the phone has been great so far, but if you do go with this company for any work, I strongly recommend you be there when the work is being done. Inspect everything. Make sure the job is done correct and to completion. 2 days have been wasted now and I've lost money due to the incompetence of this crew. Other work that they did went fine but unfortunately one negative experience overrides that.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We apologize for any undue frustration you’ve experienced during your project and will work with you to resolve all of your concerns as quickly as possible. After looking into the details of your project, we can see that a service appointment was scheduled for you on 3/27 to resolve your outstanding concerns. While we regret any inconvenience that occurred during your project, we want to clarify that the soffit wasn’t installed due to a miscommunication, as opposed to any attempt to recycle product or to utilize old product. This is something we would never do. In this instance, the crew incorrectly interpreted your request to avoid replacing soffit over the back porch, per the terms of the original project scope. If you have any additional questions please give our Customer Care team a call at (888) 736-6335, option 4 at the prompt.

Had windows replaced almost 12 years ago by Power when they were "Power Windows and Siding". Bay window replaced once under warranty. Called 04-Mar-2022 for all windows to be replaced as all were failing. Called in Jan-2023 for update to find out only 1/2 the windows were ordered, and 12-15 MONTHS for additional replacements to be ordered. Just got a call at Noon TODAY that I had a 2:30PM Appointment TODAY to have 4 sashes replaced. 2hrs notice on warranty work submitted over a year ago? AND new installations happening in my neighborhood before warranty work? Communication is horrible, warranty can be had from other vendors, and even the BBB couldn't get answers out of them. Ready to have them all ripped out and replaced by another company because it will be faster.
Description of Work: Had a bay window replaced, consisting of center panel and (2) double-hung windows, as well as (3) other double hung windows. Power considers this to be 11 sashes.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We apologize for any undue frustration you’ve experienced during your project and will work with you to resolve all of your concerns as quickly as possible. We can see that the replacement window sash orders for your home were placed with our manufacturer and we are still waiting for the orders to be completed and delivered. Unfortunately, because of raw material shortages, labor shortages and logistical constraints that both our manufacturer and their suppliers are experiencing, lead times on manufactured parts have extended beyond what we are typically accustom to. Furthermore, these lead times are rarely consistent and can make predicting completion dates for a particular order very difficult. We are working aggressively with them to diminish these delivery timelines, but we still have work to do. Again, for that inconvenience, we sincerely apologize. We take our service promise seriously and have personally reviewed your file. At the present time the earliest expected arrival for any of your orders orders is scheduled to be delivered to our local office in New Jersey later this Spring. As soon as your order is delivered, a Power representative will be in touch with you to schedule the replacement. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause and we appreciate your patience while we work to resolve the issue with the windows in your home. If you have any further questions, please feel free to call our Customer Care Team at 888-736-6335, option 4 when prompted.
