Description of Work: I’ve been meaning to write this review for YEARS! Jon came out for a late night emergency when one of our outlets in the basement started smoking. He fixed it up so fast! We were so impressed we also had him fix a bunch of sketchy electrical wiring in the basement of our 1880s home. And then we had him come out again to install an electric stove in the basement. Every time, Jon was kind, honest, and friendly, and he is so, so knowledgeable. He appreciated my enthusiasm for his work (as anything electric is definitely not in my wheelhouse) and took his time to show me what he was doing and explain everything.

Description of Work: We called JAC Electric to fix one of the switch in main panel which was tripping due to overload. Electrician came and changed switch, but problem did not get fixed. It was late in evening and he promised to come back next day (Friday ) to fix switch. Now part of home was in darkness. Next day he didnot show up and when I spoke to him, He told me he has to go On DATE. He also insisted that he will charge me again if he fixs the problem. Finally I had to call Electrician from private company (not part of Angie's list) to fix problem. I thought it was absolutely unprofessional and Unresponsive behavior by JAC Electrics. And Also JAC Electrician's knowledge base was very shallow to diagnose complex problems that I had. |

+ -1 moreJon is the only electrician we have used since we bought our home in 2000. He is a pleasure to deal with. His prices are competitive and while you can always find someone to work cheap, sometimes you get what you pay for. Jon gave us his cell phone number and will literally respond day or night. He excels at tricky diagnoses. Once, when he was laid up with an injury, I described what was happening over the phone and he suggested I call the power company and tell them my electrician said there was a wild neutral going into the house. The power company tech showed up and confirmed Jon was right.
Description of Work: We've used JAC many times, from routine work like adding circuits to emergencies, as when part of the house inexplicably went dark.

+ -1 moreI chose JAC, because when I called I found the estimate to be fair and the Associate to be very professional. Was given a date that the electricians would be able to spend as much time as needed to complete job. The day of service the electrician called to let me know he was running a bit late. When he arrived , put booties over his shoes to keep my home clean. Spoke to us about how we wanted fans installed. I was a bit concerned about the nuts and bolts laying over carpet in bedrooms but was assured that would all be cleaned up. the second electrician came to help replace attic fan(i am sure that electrician #1 could have used his help installing ceiling fans. At the last minute my husband and I decided we wanted to replace our kitchen ceiling fan and had purchased one before work date. Since this was not included in the estimate it was called in and we were happy with the price. This fan is turned on by remote only and was not easy to install. The electrician did a great job and worked diligently to install the fan correctly. I would definitely use JAC again. the only criticism that I have is that even though electrician did his best to clean up I was finding nuts and bolts throughout house for a couple of days.
Description of Work: Attic fan replaced. 2 bedroom ceiling fans with remotes installed, including electricity. 1 kitchen ceiling fan with remote replaced.

+ -1 moreThe whole project took about three months. It was a very big job. Jose did a very good job. He really knew what he was doing. He tried to clean up after himself, however I think that he could have done a better job of the clean up. He brought my entire home up to code and he added a whole bunch of lights and switches for me as well as adding some motion sensor lights.
Description of Work: JAC Electrical LLC does all of my electrical work. He most recently came out to bring my home up to code.
