I purchased a big deal coupon for this company. It was great. The guy tried to tell me that I needed hundreds and hundreds of dollars of work and this guy came and he did a complete inspection and did not need hundreds and hundreds of dollars of work and he was polite, he cleaned up after himself, he walked me through everything, he knew what he was doing. He did the clean up and went over everything and told me that his company where they had a deal where they could do the Spring and Fall for a better price, but didn't really push it. And that was it. He told me I needed to buy filters and told me where I could buy them for a good price which I did. I actually wound up purchasing the deal for the Spring and Fall stuff and when I did he was the guy that came back this fall to do the follow up.

I HAVE TO SAY I AM TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH EDISON HEATING. I HAD MADE AN APPOINTMENT IN ADVANCE AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD BE THERE BETWEEN 12:00 AND 4:00. WELL EVEN WITH AN ADVANCE APPOINTMENT EDISON SHOWED UP AT 5:15. I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW THEY CAN BE SO OFF ON A FOUR HOUR WINDOW. NOW I HAVE A TECHNICIAN WHO HAS BEEN ON THE JOB FOR 9 HRS AND IS TIRED. I TOLD HIM I FELT THE PROBLEM WAS THE ZONE VALVE ON THE FURNACE AND HE AGREED. HE THEN SAID HE DID NOT HAVE THE PART AND WOULD COME BACK THE NEXT DAY TO INSTALL THE PART. HE WROTE UP A BILL FOR $92.00 WHICH I PAYED. I WANT TO BE CLEAR THE TECHNICIAN WAS A NICE GUY AND WAS JUST DOING HIS JOB. I RECEIVED A CALL THE NEXT DAY FROM EDISON AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD COST $498.00 TO REPAIR. $498.00 PLUS THE $92.00 TO DIAGNOSE IT. $590.00 DOLLARS TO INSTALL A ZONE VALVE. SORRY THATS A BIT MUCH. I ORDERED THE PART ON LINE FOR $58.00 DELIVERED AND INSTALLED IT MYSELF IN 15 MINUTES. I CAN UNDERSTAND MAKING A LIVING BUT LETS NOT GET CRAZY.

day 1 of install I received a call explaining why the placement of the air handler could not be installed where it should where we wanted it. The only other option was in a bedroom closet or family room ceiling. I made the decision to place the unit in the bedroom closet as long as it would be quite enough for a human to sleep there. Edison assured me that it would be quite and I wouldn't have to worry about it. day 5 of install. Everything's complete and works. But the unit is extremely noisy. Now I have no closet space and 1 less bedroom because its too loud for anyone to occupy it. I immediately called and complained that this wasn't part of our agreement. 1 week later a tech showed up and assessed the problem with no remedy. 2 weeks after that the VP and manufacturer rep came to find a solution. 3 weeks later a tech came and taped up Styrofoam (which looks like garbage and blocks access for maintenance). 3 weeks after that a tech came and pinned packaging foam on top of the taped styrofoam. Nothing has worked to quite the unit and it looks terrible. 5 months after install. The unit is still in my closet and noisy. I have a disconnected take off in my crawlspace that blows cold air to nothing. Edison has not returned anymore of my calls and I will stop payments until corrected. Update. It took almost a full year to completely resolve our issues (4/26/14) and thankfully the install has been completed satisfactory. Luckily we had the patience and availability to continually allow Edison to fix their mistakes at their leisure. As I reiterate, at the time of our first initial consultation/estimate we were promised one thing and received another. Edison did not speak truthfully regarding the noise made when the unit is operating, and for that we are extremely disappointed. There is nothing unnecessary about this complaint only the facts.

I have been using this company for all my HVAC needs since I bought my home 30 years ago and have always received excellent service, so when it came time to install a generator I was very glad to find out they performed this service also. I got 5 prices from different vendors and although some were less expensive, the quality of workmanship I got from Edison was more than worth it. Rather than take shortcuts with the installation of the gas and electric lines like other contractors, Edison Heating & Cooling went the whole nine yards, using the best materials and installing all the ancillary wires and pipes in the most efficient manner possible. It took them a little longer for the actual install (running all the pipes & wires) but I got a quality custom install especially tailored to my home and in accordance with my wishes. The workmen were courteous and professional and went to great lengths to insure my house was kept clean and residue free for the whole installation process. The bosses and even the owner of the company even stopped by to make sure that the job was going smoothly and that I was completely satisfied. In this day of shoddy workmanship it feels great to deal with such a totally professional outfit that makes the customers satisfaction their prime concern. They will always be my 1st choice for HVAC and any other service they provide.

We just bought a new house, but unfortunately the previous owners improperly installed a housewide humidifier to the furnace and it leaked into the unit and completely destroyed it. We called Edison Heating and Cooling and their techs were able to confirm that the furnace wasn't salvageable. They then sent a salesperson and we decided to replace the 80% efficient unit with a high efficiency Carrier Infinity unit. Edison H&C were able to send an crew the next day for installation of the furnace along with a new water heater to replace the 15 year old unit that came with the house. Edison H&C also honored the $500 off coupon we got from Angie's List. Overall, I was very impressed by the quality of their furnace and water heater, their professionalism, their courtesy, and their prompt service. I highly recommend them for anybody who needs H&C services.

This company came highly recommended to me. They may be a good company but the salesman who came to my house an hour late, because he didn't write down the detail directions I gave him, and gave me a grease stained business card, did not instill any confidence in me. He did send me a bid about a week later that was considerably higher than other bids I received.

The tech arrived on time and with a professional attitude. I purchased the big deal, and got a bargain. The tech gave me some great feedback on the maintance I could do on my own to ensure that my system continued to function properly.

working with ryane, sales person, went very smoothly. he got back to us in a timely fashion either via phone and email. he answered all of our questions satisfactory. the technicians arrived promptly at 8:00 am and finished by 2:30. they were efficiently and cleaned up afterward they were finished with the job. one of the techs took the time to explain the AC/furnace unit and the new touch pad control panel. i would definitely recommend edison and will use them again.

We hadn't had our central air conditioning systems looked at for several years so this Angie's list deal covering two systems was too good to pass up. The office called to work out a convenient date and morning or afternoon block of time for us. The technician (Scott) called before to let us know he was on his way and actually arrived a bit earlier than he estimated. I explained the history and idiosyncrasies of both systems and he set to work. He checked coolant amounts & pressures with a gauge, cleaned one of the two filters (I'd changed the other at the end of June), checked drainage tubes to be sure they flowed freely and inspected other elements for proper operation. One of the systems is 36 years old and still functioning well. He advised me to give it plenty of room to breathe and to have the greenery surrounding the compressor trimmed. He also told me to be careful of the poison ivy nearby and along the back of the house. I am hyper allergic to poison ivy so that surprise was by itself worth the cost of the visit. He also did not pressure me to replace the older system which I really appreciated. All in all, it was a ten star experience out of five and Edison will be a top contender to replace the system when its time comes.

Recommended that since my system was over 20 yrs old, I should think about replacing. Instead I decided on waiting until it was no longer working, as I have two systems (upstairs and downstairs) over 20 yrs old, still working, and want to wait to see which unit dies and will need to be replaced first.

We needed an A/C tune-up on our HVAC system. The tech showed up on time. He diagnosed a faulty capacitor and replaced it (extra charge). He was polite and very professional. We are happy with this company's service.

They did a great job. First of all my furnace was very old and could not get replacement parts. Also there was limited space to work. They took an extra day to finish the job and charged us the same amount. Very professional. I highly recommend.

Ryane was the sales representative that reviewed our situation, made recommendations, and provided proposals. He was prompt, professional, knowledgable, and genuine in his assessment and recommendations. Proposals arrived within 24 hours as promised. Joe and Kevin arrived right on time for the installation. They were professional, efficient, and very knowledgable. The installation required running new refrigerant lines through a closed off attic (required a small hole be cut into the LR ceiling), snaking the lines from the upper attic down from the upper attic and then out the side of the house. They also decided to move the electrical box on the outside of the house to power the condenser (not in the proposal but they decided it would be better if it would be moved). All work was completed right on time, system tested, everything was explained to me that I needed to operate the system. They used drop cloths everywhere, cleaned up completely before leaving. The office staff I spoke to (Sharon I believe) was just as professional and knowledgable as everyone else at Edison Heating and Cooling.

The service man came extremely promptly. The window I was given was all morning, starting at 8, and he showed up right about 8. The only problem was he didn't call in advance, so I wasn't completely prepared. But that would be my one and only complaint. He took about 40 minutes, checking out the blower, and vents, performing some clean out, and then checked out the compressor, including the coolant and electrical usage. I was definite leased by his promptness and knowledge, and even more so that they didn't use tho opportunity to try to sell me some extra, unnecessary option or service. I would definitely use them again.

It took a little while for them to get it worked out for some reason we got our dates mixed up so it took longer than I expected, but the guy who came out and did the work did an excellent job and it was very well done. I just paid the price for the big deal, no extra charges. The service technician was just outstanding. He was just perfect. You couldn't ask for a better person. I would use them again.

I was able to purchase an Angie's Big Deal for this work. Setting the appointment was easy, and the technician arrived on time. He did his inspection, and said the units were running properly. I appreciated that he did not try to up-sell me.

I am extremely pleased with the service we received from Edison Heating and Cooling for the new installation of our new AC/Furnace Unit and our new hot water heater. From beginning to end - the one word I would use to sum them up is 'professional'. We got quotes from 5 other companies and Edison Heating and Cooling not only came in with the best price, but also gave us 2 AC window units to hold us over until the installation which no other company offered. Our technical engineer, Michael Confessore, came to our home several times and he was always early - punctuality is a big deal to me and Michael most certainly got our dealings with Edison started out on the right foot. Michael was professional and flexible with not only our price, but also potential of financing and because Edison was so busy (I now know why) he offered to give us 2 window units which he came over and help put in himself. On the day of our installation our 2 installer were Mike and Mike. They came and they too were punctual, very professional and worked straight through with almost no break. One of the Mikes took the time at the end to explain everything to us in terms we could understand- even though I know he must have been exhausted. At the end of the day both Mike's carried themselves extremely well (which was important since we had a toddler) and you wouldn't have even known they were there except for all the standard banging during installation. On the whole I couldn't be more happy with Edison Heating and Cooling and the '3 Mikes' and would highly recommend them to anyone. PS - The reason I put an 'NA' for quality is because I dont know what the quality is as of yet, but I will say everything is working great 24 hours later.

They are professional and they know what they are doing. The guy who came here and I was engaged in conversation with had been in the business for quite a while. I know a little bit heating and air conditioning and I thought he knew what he was talking about.

Other companies came in to give us estimates and all of them say we didnt have enough room in the attic to fit an AC unit. The guys were the only ones who said they could. Well the original unit we chose did not fit it turns out. But these guys made good and upgraded us to a better, less bulky unit at the same cost. The guys were very quick VERY clean. The job took 3 days and at the end of everyday they cleaned up after themselves. We have a 3 month old baby and they tried to be very quiet when coming in and out of the house when baby was sleeping. The guys were very friendly and very helpful.
