Other than their being 90 minutes late (although they did call), everything seems great. Purchased two tuneups on Angie's List ($79 each) because we have two units. Their office called right away to say they noticed the purchases and to invite us to schedule an appointment. Very impressed by that. Our units didn't seem to need much, and one of the techs offered to show my wife how to flush out the drain after the fact but ended up not being able to do so (through no fault of his). We'll see if anything breaks down later this summer, but for the time being, we're quite satisfied.

My wife and I bought our home in Nov'13 and know our furnace, A/C compressor, and air handler are 20+ years old. So we purchased one of the A/C tune up deals on Angie's List. I was prepared to pay for additional service/parts as I was unsure when was the last time someone looked over these utilities. The technician was prompt and professional. He constantly asked or waited for me to allow him to go into a room or basement. He checked all parts of the air handler and compressor with his tool, not just give a eye check. He also informed me what parts are most likely to break. We tested my condenser pump and informed me how much a new one would cost if it were to ever to break. I needed a new "battery" for my fan,1 lb of refrigerant, and caps for valves which were an additional 230 ontop of the coupon deal. The gentleman answered all my questions, was clean, and well prepared. I am thinking of getting the service plan the technician suggested to cover regular maintenance of my furnace and a/c systems as well discounts on parts/labor.

My husband also used Edison Heating & Cooling Inc at a private school when he used to work there. The boiler at my son's house went out and they called a repair man who quoted him a price of USD 10000, so he called us upset and my husband went to Edison and they replaced his boiler for USD 2000. My son is very happy. Every body is very helpful from the secretary to the guy in charge.

The service was great. Angelo was the technician who checked out our system. We have only owned our home 3 years, so he provided lots of information on recommended maintenance, expected life of the system, need to keep plants/debris away from unit and how to clean outdoor unit periodically. I greatly appreciated the time he took to explain everything. The appointment was easy to schedule. They gave us a 4 hour time window but called when Angelo was on his way. We also used an Angie's List coupon for the Tune-Up. We were very pleased.

When we decided to go with them, they put us on the books right away, I think it was within a week they said they'd be here, they called me the day before and reminded me that they would be here and when they would be here. Between 7:30 and 8 in the morning they were here, they were very polite, they walked through the house, they talked to me about what they're going to do, they put down drop cloth everywhere so they wouldn't hurt the nice floors that they just did, and I think that was great. I couldn't believe how much time they had been working their butts off, I don't even think they take a lunch break. They'll probably going to be here for a week, they've been very polite, they even took my dog out to play, they are very nice guys. The holes that they are making in my walls are not bad and talking to me about exactly where they are going to put the holes I think is good, I'm very happy with them.

Although I did not use their services, I was very happy with my experience. I don't remember the estimator names, but he was very friendly, but more importantly, very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain what need to be done and why. Took the time to investigae the whole house and heating issues that we had, instead of looking at the furnace and duct work stemming from there (like the 3 other vendors). The pricing was very competitive, but unfortunately was more than I could afford at the time. When I can afford, I will definitely call them back to do the job.

A crack in my old gas boiler prompted me to get some estimates on a new one, and now I am kicking myself for not going with Edison. The guy I dealt with was friendly and not a pushy sales guy, he was a real tech that could answer my questions without the hard sell. He came over an measured my heating system and even admitted to not knowing the exact setup, and spend some time researching my exact steam-heat slant fin radiators. We had a number of phone conversations going over the cost and options. I had wanted a stainless steel chimney liner that he wasn't sure he could deliver at any reasonable price, and by the time he actually found out that he could, I had already signed a contract with another company (which turned out AWFUL). If I ever need to do something like this again, I will give Edison the first phone call.

It was a nice experience. I still haven't done anything about it as far as this particular problem. The person who came was knowledgeable, courteous and punctual. He came on time. I think they are very well versed in the subject so they were quite knowledgeable.

The furnace was making some strange sounds and I was afraid it was about to break down. They came out quickly and fixed something. A day or two later, we heard strange sounds again. Someone came out quickly again, fixed it with no additional charge. They also checked out our second floor furnace.

Very pleased with the entire experience and quality of service from start to finish.

The estimates I have gotten from Edison Heating have all been comparable to estimates from other companies. I chose Edison Heating the first time in the 1990s because they sold the brand equipment I wanted (Lennox). I was happy with the installation. Since then, they have performed annual maintenance pursuant to a service contract, they have disconnected and later reconnected the outside air conditioning unit when we did remodeling, and they installed a second new furnace and air conditioning unit in 2011. The new furnace keeps the temperature in the house much more even than the previous unit. I have never been disappointed by the quality of the work. Is it perfection? Probably not. But I believe it is very good. I have no complaints. Technicians always showed up when they were supposed to. The sales reps that gave the estimates did not try the hard sell. They gave me the information and pricing, gave me my options, did the sales pitch, and allowed me time to make a decision. I did not have to make a decision on the spot to get a better deal.

It was really good experience, Joe is very professional, responsible and patient. He gave me three different options for my air conditioner replacement estimate, and explained each clearly, he is trustworthy. The technicians (Sean and Mike) did a great job, the quality of work was very good. we are very happy with the work.

Both times (fall and winter) the people sent to my home were very professional and courteous. They came in and got right to work. They guy they sent out in fall was very helpful - because we had just moved in and I was trying to understand where everything was and how it was working. They only problem was that they do not carry filters. You must supply them when the tech it here and they will change them. I lived in another city and state before and they carried the filters and just brought them with them- and I didn't have to think about buying them before the tech came to service the unit.

We contacted several companies for estimates when we decided we wanted central air installed (no other system was in place). We did not have duct work in place before the start, as we have radiator heat. We did not want to change the heating system so we decided to go with a system that placed the air handler in the attic. Joe at Edison was the most responsive, through, prompt and professional of all the people that came to give us an estimate. He answered all our questions (no matter how silly) with patience. He presented estimates for three systems, and we went with the middle one. Not the top of the line, but not the bottom either (even the bottom Carrier system was quite nice) Edison's pricing was higher than a couple other estimates we got and lower than one, but since they were the most thorough and most experienced, we figured this is the sort of project where it pays to pay for quality work. We decided to go with a higher rated SEER system in order to get the federal tax credit and to save on our energy bills. Edison is a official distributor of Carrier equipment, so we went with that system. The installation process went very smoothly. It only took two days (about 8am-3pm each day), with very little mess or disruption. Since we don't have duct work, they had to install the air handler in the attic, then ran tubing down into the bedrooms/bathroom on the second floor, and then ran the tubing through our closets to get to the first floor. So now each in closet on the second floor we have large round silver tubes. Not the best looking, but not hideous either and at least they are hidden from view in the closets! We also now have at least 1 or 2 ducts in the rooms on the first floor, which will hopefully be enough to keep it cool on the hottest days. The system was tested on the last day and was blowing cool air very quietly- I didn't even know it was on until I started to feel it cool down in the house. It started to cool the house very quickly, which is nice. My only concern is that since the vents downstairs were determined by the closet locations on the second floor, I hope that we have enough vents on the first floor to keep it sufficiently cool. This is not any criticism on Edison's part- they did the best they could with our current floor set up. The thermostat is very high tech- a touch screen system that you can program for FOUR different times of day, seven days a week. It has a lot of nice features that I hope will help us save on energy costs. Overall, it was a great experience. We haven't had hot enough weather yet to necessitate us putting it on, but I am confident that we will have a very comfortable summer!

They responded quickly to my call with a visit, measurements, and quotation. They came on time and completed the system when promised. They cleaned up completely, and all of their work passed inspection. The system worked flawlessly since installation.

It went excellent. I was very pleased. The installation went quickly with no problems. They passed all the inspections. The representative was very knowledgable answering all my questions. They were here when they said they would be.

I was very impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. We had three air conditioners destroyed by the flooding after Sandy. We had a few estimates but the representative from Edison, Nick, was the one who really took note of what we needed and tried to give us options that fit in our budget. He worked with us on everything. We needed stands to keep our units off the ground and they made them for us, even though it's not something they usually do. He was with us for the whole job and didn't disappear once the contract was signed. After the installation was done, we had a small problem with one of the thermostats and he stopped on his way home from work to check it for us. The installers, Frank and Joe were also great. They worked quickly and efficiently, cleaned up everything and took the time to explain everything. They spent the whole time they were here working and never disappeared like some contractors do. They were professional and pleasant. I would definitely recommend them.

An excellent and very professional company. All work done neatly and all in one day. The boiler also will get me rebates and they did the paperwork for me. Everything spelled out in writing exactly what i was getting and the exact cost. A very good experience and i would recommend them to anyone for any kind of heating and cooling issues.

Details: Woke in the morning to discover furnance was not functioning properly and diagnostic light was blinking red. Called Edison about 8am. Gave description of issue to customer service. Within 15-20 minutes, recieved call from On-Call service tech. Explained issue and diagnostics. Tech gave troubleshooting checklist to follow and informed me that he would call back to check progress and give an ETA if still needed. Tech called back in 15 mins with ETA, as my troubleshooting was ineffective. Tech arrived around 10am. It took no more than 5 minutes for root cause to be determined. Repairs were completed very quickly and furnance was back up and running normally. Problem has been fixed and furnance continues to run normally. Excellent. I highly recommend Edison Heating and Cooling and will continue to use them for all HVAC needs.

I got about five different estimates. This company was not the cheapest, but they were very easy to work with. They came in and did the job. They missed one dot of a mistake, and came back in two days and did the neccessary repairs. The service men were great. I had no complaints about the job that they did.

A friend recommended them. They were very professional, neat and tidy. They didn't leave a mess. The two gentlemen were very polite and respectful. They worked quickly.
