Isaac of D and S Landscaping was a ten. He always returned our calls and was the consummate professional. His workers were courteous and extremely neat. They always cleaned up at the end of the day. Isaac was always available for any questions that we had while the work was being done and explained everything in detail. Initially, we had contracted for the pavers only but we added on additional work - the belgium blocks which he recommended around our rock garden and it came out fantastic. We were so happy that we followed his suggestions. Isaac did exactly what he said he would do and the job came out fantastic.

I reached out to 8 driveway contractors. Don of D & S was the only contractor that responded. Contracted in March 2015. Project began near the end of April. Driveway was sub-contracted to Zingariello Masonary & Paving. Good, neat, professional workers all around. In one day: existing driveway was removed and carted off; driveway was regraded and layered with stone; block edging was installed, down spout routed under driveway installed. Paver entrance installed approx 1 week after. The next day was the curb apron. We are approx 5 weeks into the project. Pending: back fill soil in back of block edging, complete downspout re-route into lawn, and pour blacktop. So far so good and Don is easy to work with. I will submit a final review when all is complete.

It probably was D & S Landscaping, they took down some trees a couple of years ago. They come with an army and it took them about 5 hours to take down the 3 trees and they did a great job. They were in and out and that was a pretty good price compared to others. My interactions with them were fine. The work that they did was fine. The trees are not there anymore and there is no problem. I sure would use them again in the future.

They are very responsive and very patient. One of their employees, Isaac, is the person whom we worked with and he is very knowledgeable. He gives really good advice and spends time talking to us about the different options on what that problem is how to fix it and so on. He takes the time to explain stuff and puts me at ease rather than to go and research everything on my own.

Issac was great to work with great! He was so knowledgable about the area, what type of soil we needed, and what type of landscape design would be best for our shaded backyard section. He helped design the new patio with pavers as well and had a great solution of redoing the cement stairs to match too! Then, the men that did the work were AMAZING! My backyard looks like a total different place. It is an Oasis that I can't wait to enjoy all summer long. THANK YOU Issac and your team of men!

They are both reliable and responsive; I've seldom had an issue, but when I have, they address it immediately. For example, at one point the edging was not as neat as it had been; I put in a call to Don, and the very next time the guys came out, they talked to me about the problem and then carefully used a hand edger to neaten up the edge. And they don't mow the grass too short just so it will "last"; they mow it at a height of no less than 2 1/2 inches, which is what's best for the lawn. I'm very satisfied.

This company is reliable and has good rates. We will stay with them!

They were excellent. Their work was top-notch, from the design and the work they did with me, laying out the design before, all the way through execution and putting it all together. It was extremely well done. They're very creative. They were more pricey, but they were high quality, so I went for quality. I plan to use them in the future.

The service went well. The crew completed the projects in different stages. They spent an entire day on the beds and a half day on the fence. They were efficient and professional. They were great with the clean up after the job. Don provided a great design for us which is what I liked the most about the service. He was very flexible with our schedules and was very accommodating. He was very available as well.

The work was fine, but after I had had this done, I decided a few weeks later to have two other scrubs removed bordering my patio. It was early July when I called Don about this. He told me that he'd be able to do the work in a couple of weeks. I live in a gated community and called the guard house to tell them to let D&S in whenever they arrived. The guard joked with me that he'd keep them on the "let in" list until the end of the month. I commented back to him that D&S would be back long before then. I did not hear back from D&S until late September. They were calling to discuss the other things I'd like done. I told him what I wanted and he told me that he'd work up something and get back to me. Another month went by. By this time, I decided D&S wasn't for me. Although Don is professional, and very nice, his responsiveness is terrible. He called a few more times, but I did not respond. I found another landscaper who came in, took out those two troubling shrubs, trimmed the bushes and trees around my house, 2 days after I called them. The price for all of that was what Don was going to charge me to just remove those 2 shrubs.

Arrived on time, did a great job, and were very pleasant and professional to deal with

The yard was like a jungle. It was spring time and very busy for D & S. So it was a bit hard at first trying to get in touch with them. However my patience paid off. It was amazing what a difference once they were done. Issac was very well educated in all aspects of landscaping. Very polite man. The workers hustled. Job well done!

Perfect! could not be happier

All the services mentioned above were performed with the upmost professionalism and the choice of plantings was great. All was completed in one day with Don supervising every task.

The landscaper's workers did a great job. They did have to bring in a lot more mulch to add to what I had already purchased. They also had to dig around or trench the areas where mulch had to be spread down. I was very pleased.

They constructed the patio last year. Their work is good. They were very courteous and nice, they did their job well.

I initially reached out to D & S on 4/3 and Don got back to me right away and said he would contact me shortly to schedule an appointment. I sent another email on 4/8 to check-in and get something scheduled and I still haven't heard back.

I had reached out to this company to get a quote for a new landscaping project that I wanted done outside my home. My initial conversation with Don was really pleasant. He seemed knowledgable, accomodating and honest. I described what I had envisioned and he threw out a few pointers. We aligned on a time for him to come by, assess the work and provide a quote. Then on the day we were supposed to meet, he called and said he would be delayed. He also said that he was really busy that day so wouldn't be able to come himself but would send his project manager. I was OK with all of that. The project manager came by, walked around with me, made some suggestions on what I could get done and started measuring the lawn area. All in all, we identified 4-5 solid projects across the yard. He did not offer any suggestions around - hey if you have an operating budget in mind, I would suggest you drop this, and focus on this other thing that is more necessary. Others I interviewed did do this. He then told me that he would send a quote in a week's time. I asked him for a rough estimate so I could plan, but he said he couldn't give it to me then and there, and was too busy the next few days so I would need to wait until next Thursday atleast. I'm not sure why a quote should take this long. I had other companies - equally reputable and professional - come in and quote me right there. The company I eventually went with came with a brochure and iPad, showed me examples of work they had done, did some sketching of what they might do, advised me on what I shouldn't do, took my input into account, and gave me a quote all within two hours. I consider this as respect for my time. And as far as D&S is concerned, their quote never came. No e-mails or phone calls to follow up on the meeting. Very disappointing. The only reason I did not give them an F is because my initial pleasant conversation with Don. This is likely a project management flaw, and I would encourage him to take this feedback, and action on it for the future.

I called D&S Landscaping and left a voice mail; however, I did not hear anything back from them!

First class service at a great price.

I initially was pleased with the service and thought they were pleasant to work with. They were very hard working and used a high quality top soil. I called them back about 8 months later because I had not seen any improvement in my lawn. They answered and said they would come out. They never showed up and I did not follow up with them after this.

I interviewed 5 landscapers and from them, chose D&S because he had the best proposal that included the list and placement of plants. His knowledge of plants and aesthetic placement was impressive and made the most sense...there seemed to be real thought and creativity put into the proposal. I liked that he was quick, proactive, took care of getting the tree service to take down a large tree. The finished landscaping looks like it will look great once it all blooms in Spring. He picked out a nice assortment of plants and some beautifully focal trees. He did a really nice job of putting a rock border around the plants at the front of the yard and made good use of existing rocks for added decor. All in all, I am excited to see it come to life next year. The only sour note was his mistake in billing. He had verbally said that the tree removal was included in the proposal but the day the tree had been removed, he wanted to charge me an extra $600. When we initially disputed his claim, he offered to only charge us half...but finally admitted that there was misunderstanding between him and his assistant and that we were right that the proposal did include the tree removal...that fact was indisputable because it was listed on the proposal.

They were on time and provided the needed service

D&S Landscaping had the best price I received from all the contractors I asked to bid. Their work quality was excellent and they did the work when they said they would.

They are friendly and responsive, adhered to schedule, and as professional as you could ask for. I would certainly hire them again, and intend to spread their reference around town.
