His prices were reasonable. I did not use his services only because other people in my household could not decided what we really wanted long-term for landscaping. He also moved and replanted a small ornamental that was being displaced. We discussed options taking into consideration the amount of sunshine I get. His crew did a great job. + 3 moreFantastic, we couldn't be happier! Don was able to get inside my head and design just what we wanted. The whole crew was energetic, hard-working, and easy to work with. Our front and side yard are attractive and fairly low maintenance now and the backyard looks like an oasis. People were stopping to compliment us on how it looked the first night. Love, love, love it.

+ -1 moreD&S Landscaping is by far the best contractor I've worked with: I am referring to Don Liberti, the owner, and his team of workers in regard to their workmanship, their professionalism, and most of all, the completed project. Their main concern is that you are happy with the end result. Don makes you feel that you are his only customer and gives your project the proper amount of time that it need to make the outcome much better than ever expected. One year later we are still receiving compliments from neighbors and outdoors salesmen. I have to say I am proud that this is my home.

+ 1 moreAt first, it went very well. Isaac was highly responsive and knowledgeable on the different kinds of design that would take my family's needs into the future. At first, the scope of work was the entire backyard, plus walkways on the sides of the house. However, unexpectedly, when I needed to change the scope of the work to a smaller job due to a shift in financial priorities, there were no further responses back. I just needed the ground leveled, hoping to get that done faster and the play-set up. I need the job done as soon as possible, but Isaac just will not return my calls or emails. (Between us combined, there were maybe 2 or 3 emails total). Plus, 2-3 unanswered voicemails from me looking for a date to start work. Complete email and phone silence! Now, I'm left still interviewing other companies. Some call/show up, some do not. With all the rain, it's busy for them when there's breaks of sunlight for regular lawn work. And with a busy work schedule on my part, it's difficult to keep rescheduling with other companies because of postponements on their part.
Description of Work: Overall design of landscape to backyard. A patch of my backyard leveled was the immediate project for the installation of a play-set for my children.

+ -1 moreI contacted Don Liberti several months earlier. He came to give me an estimate. I previously had called another landscaper but wanted another opinion. I knew once talking to Don, I was going to use his services. He guaranteed my plants for 1 year, the other landscaper did not. He gave me choices for my landscaping. Some I didn’t like and he just found me others I did. The job in the front is better than I expected. The workers were wonderful. Don was there throughout the process. They came early in the morning and finished the same day. I had big trees leaning on my fence in the backyard. It wasn’t part of the contract, but his men went behind the fence, cut and removed all the big trees. It looks so much cleaner. Any bushes they did pull from backyard landscaping, Don had the men plant other small bushes in its place. Again, not in the contract. Job well done. Very pleased.
Description of Work: All old shrubs pulled out from front lawn. New mulch and shrubs, flowers lighting, rocks put in. Area made larger for plants. All were not planted until I gave my approval. In backyard, all bushes trimmed, some pulled, all new white rock put around swimming pool, and around landscaping in the backyard, also brown stones were existing ones were old.

+ 0 moreDon Liberti is very professional and honest. He was very responsive to all of my concerns and gave us a reasonable quote. Unfortunately, because of weather, I had to wait a number of months for his services. However, once he was able to start, his crew finished quickly and cleaned up thoroughly. He replaced some of my dead bushes and cut back all of the existing bushes. He also added stone where necessary. He was able to come up with an idea to prevent the washing away of stone in the future. He landscaped around my patio and added a few plants without any additional costs to me. We liked him so much that he will continue to maintain my landscaping going forward.
Description of Work: Updated existing landscaping and added landscaping around patio.

Don went out of his way to trim 2 overgrown trees that were not in the estimate and came back the next week to place some large stones in an area that was eroding in a downhill spot away from the original work. That was above and beyond what I expected. I talked to him about work I would probably want done in the spring in another area. So, all in all, if you need/want to have work done in your yard you cannot go wrong with D & S LANDSCAPING!
Description of Work: My front yard was totally barren. I had new siding, steps, porch done but it needed that finishing touch. Called D & S, Don got back to me the same day and set an appointment and came on time! He spent time walking around outside and drew a sketch of what he wanted to do and a detailed estimate. I accepted and told him I didn't want the work done until after labor day. He said no problem. I also told him I was a born "brown thumb" and he assured me the plants he chose for my yard were easy care. He did recommend a automatic water sprinkler system that would be on a timer so I didn't have to think about it. OH HAPPY DAY! They arrived on time with a full crew and got to work around 8:30 Saturday morning. Don laid out where each plant was to go and explained to me in detail the steps they would be performing (top soil, weed barrier, etc. They worked all day (with Don stopping by during the work process) and asked if I was happy with the placement etc. I told him I was very happy. He then showed me how the sprinkler system worked and explained I didn't have to touch it until winter approached and then showed me how to remove it until the spring.

+ 4 moreI cannot say enough about the professionalism and quality of work. When Don first visited the house, we gave him an idea of what we would like done. He came back to us with a plan that was far better than we could have ever imagined. We were very impressed with how quickly he came up with a design for our yard. We also appreciated his flexibility and responsiveness as we changed our mind a few times before the process started, and he was quick to get back to us with an adjusted plan. He was mindful of our budget as well. Our yard looks amazing. We were shocked by how quickly they were able to get the work done. Don and his staff do great work, and I highly recommend them for any homeowner that wants to either transform their yard or routine maintenance.
Description of Work: D&S Landscaping removed the ivy that covered most of our front lawn and a good portion of our back lawn. They removed what remained of our front and back lawn and planted sod. They also created a landscaping bed on the front lawn and redesigned the landscaping bed under our bay window. They tree lined our back yard and also created another landscaping bed behind our house.

I went on their website recently and requested that they contact me about some services I wanted done. Still no answer. I called them two days ago and left my name & number and still no response. They did a nice job when I used them last year so I very disappointed by their lack of response.

But, the bush really did not die, so I just said that's it. What I've seen in the past, the quality was very good. They were on time. I would give them a B simply because I did not use them.
Description of Work: I used them once and I did not use them again. They came and they said one of my bushes was dead and they wanted to replace it with a new one. They came to look at the bushes.
